  1. this is whacked - they just emailed as well...just ending up with body full of holes & doesnt stop nuthin
  2. RE:mechanical slop - which way do you take up the slack - in vid they show towards head of guitar
  3. I'm wondering if NOT having the proper whammy ...is adding to my probs too!
  4. PS Steve - I'm gonna print off your pdf on this & just give it to luthier - as well as maglok...& I'm STILL waiting on the proper whammy since November
  5. nope - I suck...soon as I rest hand on bridge - # thanks for tryin guys
  6. Thanks - will try...but now that I've already "bastardized" body w/screw I hope I can re-attach
  7. yes Steve. . .besides PM's I've read this before (maybe not well as I don't read much!) but...I don't see anything about blocking All I know is if I rest my hand on bridge as I tend to do...it throws her sharp. . .other than that, the vee STILL goes flat on double bends
  8. yeah - I should have went w/blocking I think...live & learn
  9. THanks Rad....that seems to help alot! Cheers
  10. both...& beg for forgiveness after - new world order!
  11. sorry to hijack here but similar question - I USED to run my rig thru both Bose L1 model II & thru power in on a solid state Fender - I was able to blend the acoustic thru BOTH systems clearly -NOW I have the DT 25 combo & runnng link...the acoustic thru there is mudded...any way to clear that up ( or am I screwed because things were FRFR before?)
  12. if there's a downloadable update ( for offline install ) u could try that...just a thought
  13. Won't know until I have it set up properly ...supposedly it stabilizes for both whammy use & for bends(almost as if you had a stop-tail bridge) not perfect but definite improvement!
  14. Actually I just had $ to burn on Mag-lok...stability wasn't bad on my 69...BUT, I do find that I tend to rest my hand on bridge & throws me off
  15. Anyone else installed this on a 2nd gen 69?...if I pull back on whammy...falls out of block - been advised to route out some of the body...not into doin that I should have stuck w/original plan which was to have it setup for dives only...& I'm STILL waiting on the proper bloody whammy for it...salesman argueing w/me that it's just a "pop-in" & I told him NO...it's internally threaded - been over a month waiting
  16. yes it's easier tool but that doesn't change the alt's in guitar correct? I'm able to change them via virtual capo & store for use w/any model - but I play 1/2 step down mostly & to do say a bass guitar sound would be impossible (just because of that 1/2 step)
  17. Dunno that I can create the baritone or octave as in tutorial vid...you just play the strings open in 440 to achieve octave - hence physical adjustment?
  18. damn you for posting this...1st beer & I'm thinkin - I gotta pay off combo lol
  19. well...I opened a beer & that got me thinkin....I should have another beer
  20. what the...it works...whatchu talkin bout Willis? I just changed a tuning via capo...stores in guitar & works w/all models - sorry if I didn't make myself clear NOW how to figure the other 1/2 of what I wanna do - basically open D etc but 1/2 step down...maybe I DO have to physically tune this guitar down 1/2 step to achieve a baritone AND additional 1/2 step down? Sorry Silver ...writing before I read
  21. Just wanna make sure there wan't an update I may have missed ...the only way to change the "stock" tuning within the variax is the virtual capo method correct ( so the tuning is NOT model specific )
  22. awesome - just hate working w/out edit ...better practice!
