I have helix going into 1 power cab+ and it sounds really great for guitar amp in room after I turn helix cabs and IR off but need a stereo guitar rig for live shows and want to also use guitar synth so I would like to hear more about the FRFR108 and if you use in stereo. The FRFR108 - Cant go wrong with size weight and price, Right now for my stereo side I am using effect return on boss katana with all knobs at 0 and it seems to match up OK with the powercab+ on the other side

yes if you have the stagesource speakers which have the 32 band eq. it's great
I love it for my small band.
I don't think the yamaha mixers with more inputs can access the 32 band eq in the stagesource speakers yet
so ??

I like to use 2 on the floor occasionally but not too far behind me - i use them kind of like a side fill - good at lower volume gigs with just vocals and the band can hear the main vocals good and guitars and bass can then adjust the stage volume to match.

I have a helix and the looper does not have enough time. Not sure about the HX effects, but would be nice if the looper had mor time on this- any thoughts?

I just started using the Helix in stereo into 2 Katana 100 in the effects returns and it sounds great. It's lighter than the Line6 L2t and unless I need the mic inputs from the l2t's , I will just use Katana - I like the brightness of Katana.

You can also use the volume of the output block, but other than going through the patches manually and adjusting them with your ears I see no way of doing that. Maybe a special view in HXedit wherer you have all snapshots / presets in a list with volume knobs next to them, but even then you'd have to do it by ear. A peakmeter doesn't tell you how loud something sounds, so you'd need an intricate algorithm to do that automatically.
And it reminded me of those wonderful "Auto" switches on compressors, gates and nowadays probably entire channelstrips. Don't they always sound so much better than adjusting them yourself...?yes
yes I love to just use my ears. But on snapshots, the output block shows the same number on each snapshot even though the sound level changes drastically.... can I adjust a snapshot to a different number on each snapshot output block without having to use the HX Edit?
-
I put Helix away for awhile and picked back up after the 2.30 upgrade and have paid for and downloaded many custom presets that sound good - until switching from snapshot to snapshot or from preset to preset. There's should be an easy way to adjust and save output levels to match. i do like some tones I get but is there a simple way without using computer to set my output levels? Very annoyed..

With the proviso that I haven't had a chance to do and explore this upgrade yet myself, I suspect a couple of cautions are in order. Full backup is essentially an extended version of the Bundle backup from previous version, which is great, but it looks like it has the same caveats...
- As has been discovered, and makes logical sense, restoring from a full backup after a firmware upgrade overwrites any new factory setlists or presets that came with the upgrade.
For that reason, it would be great if Line 6 could provide the factory setlists as separate downloads.
- A corrupted preset can prevent you from being able to restore. In fact one of the biggest new features of 2.30 IMO is that it appears to detect at least some corruption when you do the export, so you know then to isolate which one and deal with it, instead of finding out when you really need to restore that your backup is unusable.
I have no idea if it's actually doing any kind of on-the-fly inspection or testing, but my guess would be no, it simply tries to export, and goes off the rails if it hits something sufficiently unexpected, like software does. It's still great that it fails on export in some cases, but there may be other kinds of corruption that won't be detected until you import.
For all those reasons, with prior versions I think many people did setlist and preset backups in addition to bundles. That's quite likely still wise.
I don't mean to knock Line 6 or this upgrade, by all reports it seems awesome, can't wait to get there myself :)
So yes you are correct that's why I can't find the new amp presets after my upgrade from 2.2 to 2.3- because as you stated my full backup overwrote the presets I was hoping to checkout.

I did a large multi room restaurant gig for couple years with M20d. I was using a stereo mic (sometimes sm58 mic) at front of stage - relatively close to drums and muting it from mains. I also did a DI from bass. Now use monitor out which was sent to the house PA for speakers in ceiling of other rooms. The fun part is using the iPad and go to other room to mix it. I had best results mixing ceiling speakers from men's room which had a speaker I could hear real clear.- but distance depends on wireless signal strength- I used 5G.

I have the stagescape l3t speakers which I love, and want to keep , what I would like to know is if I sell my stagescape m20d and buy the behringer x32 will I still be able to set up the 32 channel eq in speaker. I like my mixer but now that line six has sold out to Yamaha . I think any updates for m20d are dead Yamaha will not answer emails on the m20d . Now I'm thinking of moving on . Can anyone answer this. Tks
they won't work on x32 like they do on m20d--they need the L6link. You could think about adding a sub -mixer for the drums / back line if the 12 inputs has become an issue- a cheap behringer for the drums or another stagescape-. I picked up a demo from GC at good price, - I have 2 iPads and assign one to each. but most gigs - i don't need 2 . I love the dreamstage but if you sell it - include the speakers -probably go quickly.

I have l6 link cables for my stagescape mixer, so i use those with my L2ts. HOSA makes aes/ebu cables that work good and cost less

The JTV 69s is great for me and it's nice to flip a switch and have new sound. The best think for me with Helix is the ability in Helix to assign the tone pot on variax to control the volume. in Helix I place volume pedal at the end of the chain. I can now easily turn my overall volume up or down without using foot pedal. I,m a volume nut and like to blend my stage volume with the drums and other musicians , so this is great for me, but you can assign anything you want and control it from either volume or tone port on the variax. I use a stagesource powered speakers for my PA and my Helix.

I connected an ev5 and had problem but after adjusting min volume it was ok. Maybe I should try it again and see if it held good.

I received my Jtv 89f this week and took some time to prefit my fishman triple play pickup. It will fit between the bridge pickup and the bridge but will require me to cut off the back portion of the pickup frame which will leave at least one of the mounting holes open. I will also have to use the thinnest triple play pickup receiver to hold the pickup. It will be a snug fit but should work with no complications I will try to post a picture of it when I complete the installation.
Yea - I just bought JTV 69 and I had to trim the triple play mounting plate to squeeze the pickup between pickguard and bridge
-
The tripleplay has to be close to the strings but does come with different size mounting plates. After you tape the right size p;late then you slide the pickup onto mounting plate and use a screwdriver to adjust up/down to exact height - it shouldn't be a problem

I am using a pair of L2t, and will actually get to test them out at band level tomorrow (Friday) Will just be a trio, but with a Hartke bass stack and a very loud drummer; so will be a decent test of how well it holds up! At home, I used the two L2t vertical near each other, and just ran the two XLR (so as to engage global EQ), and they were sounding really sweet and very loud. Didn't go too crazy loud, but I cranked 'em up pretty good..
Have tried them as floor monitors as well, thinking I like them upright a little better. Will have to test both, see how the sound holds up at band volume.
Are you using M20d too?

Sean Healey - at MAMM said he has been using it with Helix but he was playing his variax so it was not connected to G10 at that time. Sweetwater has it on pre-order and it will start shipping April ?

Vertex Boost pedal with an option-knob for foot control of boost and connect to Roland expression for overall volume -

Tempted by the QSC to replace my faulty M20d but jumped at this for the money-

Amazing spec and built in Digitec/Lexicon Fx, dedicated wifi connection and works with android too, also separate monitor mixes for band members.
Sorry but it Doesn't look that amazing to me! Also Sorry your M20d broke down

Please let us know if get it repaired - someone should be able to do something for you

I loved the master EQ presets but maybe I was the only one using them because The 1st firmware update had a flaw where it sent the master volume to 0 when choosing a different master EQ preset - totally unacceptable in the middle of a performance- and took a year for the 2nd firmware update to address that flaw! But happy it did - I guess not many where using master EQ presets, but I love them.
If fact I also love all the input presets - except not sure why They don't let me have a stereo input on the Hammond preset.

Glad you found something and too bad your M20d is now faulty. I don't think the M20d was marketed well and the user forum was great but also spotlighted every problem that the new buyers were having. I was one of the 1st to buy it and before that I saw it in action at NAMM so was very excited but later when I went to music stores after owning it I was surprised they had it sitting there and no one working had the slightest idea what to do with it or how to use it. I actually pulled an employee over and started showing him but line6 didn't have link cables at the stores and employees didn't have iPad connected and probably a lot of potential buyers saw the forum users with issues so now it's 1/2 the original price- which in my opinion is better if you already have the speakers. I can't imagine what it would be like to have a frozen screen at the gig though - awful scary!!!

Those stands do work great but I need to roll them in - they tore the handles off my stand bag I when I tried to carry them using shoulder strap
Headrush FRFR-108 or 112 for first FRFR?

I recently used a stomp with 2 108's in a garage practice and 108's sounded great at reasonable sound bass & drummer.
I had plenty of volume left over but didn't need it. I did have the b3 organ synth going in the return of the stomp and out to the 108's and it was very nice.
They are easy to load and I have used them on loud stage when running sound too, I threw one up at ear level, near the sax player, and another time pointed at the B3 player and they were happy - it was a quick easy fix.
Also the bass push button is not needed for what I do, gets too muddy.
Whatever I do, the stomp & the 108's were always with me even if just as backup
& I would often just run the organ synth through the 108's in stereo as a stage monitor
