  1. Line6>Downloads scroll down to the Powercabs. It's there. Line 6 Powercab Driver2_5 Version 2.00.0.0 Line 6 ASIO Driver support for Core Isolation Memory Integrity Recommended for Windows 10/11 systems with Memory Integrity enabled.
  2. Whenever crazy, unexplainable stuff happens, perform a Factory Reset. If the problem persists after that, open a support ticket.
  3. Yes, that should work with whatever controller you have. Xsonic (Xtone series) and Morningstar both make combination controller/host boxes if you don't already have a controller.
  4. This is a user-to-user support forum. Nobody from L6 hangs out here. If you believe this to be a bug, open a support ticket to report it. If it's a bug that has previously been acknowledged by L6, then post your suggestion for a fix here, where someone from L6 will see it: https://line6.ideascale.com/c/
  5. OK, there's at least one exception to what I stated above. If the FS is a SNAPSHOT Command. Ex - in SS1 FS1 goes to SS2. The Strip in SS1 reads SS2. If in SS2 it goes to SS1, the Strip in SS2 will read SS1. This is default behavior and not customizable. Interesting (I just discovered) drive-you-mad note - in the above configuration, if the FS is also assigned as an effect BYPASS, the first tap reverses the saved BYPASS status of the effect, the second tap changes Snapshot. If, in SS1 the effect is OFF and you tap it ON, it will be OFF when you tap again to get to SS2, where it will be OFF EVEN IF IT IS SAVED ON IN THAT SS! IOW - if you're using a FS to toggle Snapshots, you probably don't want to also have it toggling an FX BYPASS unless you totally understand what's going to happen each time you hit that switch! The upside(?) is that you can change the Strip to the effect name in "Bypass/Controller Assign". Then, when you come back to that preset in 6 months you can lose your mind trying to figure out why it changes Snapshots every other time you toggle the effect!
  6. No. If you configure a FS to send a command, it will send that TYPE of command in every Snapshot. It can send VARIATIONS on different Snapshots, but the scribble strip will always have the same name. For example, if you assign a FS to send a MIDI CC1 in SS1, in SS2 that FS could send MIDI CC2, but it can't be configured to send a CC TOGGLE in SS2 without being automatically re-configured to CC TOGGLE in SS1 also. The scribble strip name remains the same in every SS (MIDI CC). If you change the TYPE of message (ex CC TOGGLE), the strip changes to the default name for that TYPE (CC TOGGLE), and as all Snapshots are now set to that TYPE, they all have the same name on the strip. You can change the name in CommandCenter, but that name will apply to ALL Snapshots. Also, if you assign a FS as an effect BYPASS the Strip will show the name of the effect. If you then assign it a function in CommandCenter it will say MULTIPLE. It can be renamed in CommandCenter to again show the effect name (ex Minotaur) OR the Command name (ex MIDI CC) OR a custom combination (Minotaur-MIDI CC), but that name will remain the same in ALL snapshots.
  7. 1 - Yes. You are not "switching channels" as in an analog amp. Your Catalyst actually does not have 6 BANKS of 2 CHANNELS, it has 6 BANKS of 2 PRESETS. When you "switch channels" you are actually UNLOADING one preset and then LOADING another, which takes a couple of ms. 2 - Describe the EXACT step by step procedure that you use to RENAME and SAVE a preset.
  8. In HX Edit, right-click on the parameter and choose SNAPSHOTS. A little camera icon will appear on the left of the parameter and the VALUE field will be in parenthesis.
  9. You need to FIRST assign the PARAMETER to SNAPSHOTS, then SAVE the preset (If EDITS is set to DISCARD) with the Parameter set as you want it in each SNAPSHOT. If EDITS is set to RECALL then you can set it in all SNAPSHOTS and SAVE once when done. If you think that you're doing that, attach a copy of the PRESET (NOT a screenshot) and I'll look at it.
  10. You have an Android. All Androids are different when it comes to USB/music app support. All iPhones/iPads just work. I'm not a fan of Apple but have iPhones/iPads for that specific reason.
  11. This is a user-to-user support forum. Nobody from L6 hangs out here. Post your new feature requests here: https://line6.ideascale.com/c/ Do a search first since this has probably been requested and vote for all of the previous requests.
  12. I always have to look up "gaslighting" because it's one of those BS new age psychology terms that people who don't like being challenged like to use to make it look like the challenge was some sort of personal attack. Usually, that's exactly what they're doing with that response. Wait... was that a personal attack? First off, don't take yourself so seriously. You made a statement of FACT followed by a snide criticism of L6. I challenged you to prove that statement and, TBH, I was being a bit silly in my response. My bad for assuming that you might have a sense of humor. I challenged your statement, and you came up with exceptions. WOW! You were RIGHT! There's more than 10! When I entered CATALYST as a search term I came up with 11, and some of those aren't in the list you get when you click on the amp pictures. Obviously a defective search engine design! What a bunch of stupid (your term) designers those L6 programmers are! But seriously, I'll give you the standard disclaimer which, as someone with only 5 posts, you might not be aware of: "Nobody from L6 hangs out here. This is a user-to-user help forum." So, having discovered a SERIOUS BUG that obviously bothers you A LOT, I recommend that you report this bug by opening a support ticket so that you can make someone from L6 aware of the problem so that they can pass it up the ladder to someone who might take concrete steps to resolve the problem. The community will be most appreciative of your efforts, and I mean that most sincere... OOPS! There I go again... ;-)
  13. Press and HOLD the PARAMETER knob, then turn the CONTROLLER knob to NONE.
  14. Not to be contentious, but words have meanings. "I know for a fact" means that it can be proven (FACT), and that you HAVE proven it (I KNOW). There's lots of people searching for Bigfoot and Space Aliens. People who search for things that they don't even know exist because they KNOW FOR A FACT that they exist. Yep, makes perfect sense! It's part of what makes us human. We're a race of explorers and adventurers. If we weren't always searching for things we don't even know exist, nothing would ever be discovered. When you discover those undiscovered Catalyst presets PLEASE come back and document your discoveries. Curious Catalystas want to know!
  15. i jumped on ToneX when it was first released - I could finally afford to find out what this "profiling" thing was all about! First thing I did was capture my one and only amp - my Catalyst. TBH, I couldn't tell the difference. Cool! Then I spent too many hours auditioning captures on Tone.Net. Turns out the ones I was liking best were mostly done by one guy and, when I looked into it, they were captures of his AXEFXIII! Since then I've gotten the ToneX pedal and a boatload of Amalgam captures. Now, the main reason I wanted in on this was to get a chance to try a bunch of amps I'd never even see ITRW. Invariably, after playing them for a while, I go back to my Helix to see if I can get those tones. Yep. Exact? No. Close enough for R'n'Roll? Yep. Bottom line - ToneX is fun. I still play Helix most. More and more just my Catalyst. What can I say - simple man, simple needs. Of course, as always, YMMV!
  16. So, whatever anyone 60 or older or 14 and younger has to say is, In YOUR opinion, irrelevant? Good to know that there are mature, dementia free adults here to advise us on this stuff.
  17. It's so funny. If you spend any time on TGP you see the usual ongoing "AXEFX is better than Helix", "QC is better than Helix", KPA/QC/ToneX/NAM/Tonocracy Profiles/captures are the way of the future", "When will L6 release Helix II with capture capability?", "L6 is clueless and falling behind". Meanwhile, maybe L6 has a whole different plan. OWN the pedalboard market.
  18. No. The way to do that is to set the exp pedal to send MIDI, then record that on a separate MIDI track. Actually, if you use Reaper you can record the MIDI on the same track as the DI from USB 7. Then you set the wah in the Native preset on the reamp track to listen for the MIDI CC you set the Helix Exp pedal to and send the MIDI from the DI track along with the audio. You'll also need the Bypass CCs matched.
  19. So many wanted a Catalyst head. How about a separate pedal sized stereo Catalyst power amp with attenuation and the F-M feature on the .5w setting. From travel sized HP practice to complete pedal board to grab and go performance combos, they'd cover it all. Oh, yeah, and then there's Helix...
  20. See that little button labeled "UI" at the top right next to "2 in 2 out"? Click that.
  21. There's a lot of ways to do this. Here's a very simple version using Snapshots. Main L/Mono Out to Channel 1, Main Right Out to Channel 2. Split uses A/B set to Snapshots. Outputs panned PATH A hard left, PATH B hard right. CarolBlaze.hlx
  22. @yoMuzicManYou have re-uncovered a bug. Meaning, this has been noted before. IDK if it was ever reported, so you should open a support ticket to report it. But to be clear, I have tested and this is real. At least, on my HX Stomp. I haven't tried on my Helix Floor, but no matter, REPORT IT!
  23. Start over with a New Preset. Place 1 Drive and 1 Mod in the Path. Pull the Mod down to create a second path. Select an empty block where you want an FX Loop. Are your FX Loops still Greyed out?
