  1. I can't even upoad but I see the upload page. If you click on your preset name it should take you to the edit metadata page where you can inform all of that.
  2. The same thing happens to me, but it happened with the 3.50 update 4th or 5th preset I think, the Brit one. And some horrible over-distortion happened just when I bought it with the Panama one with 3.15 update I think it was. It was horrible. For what I've read, it happens to some people when trying several presets in a row (which I was doing then and yesterday). Some say it's fixed with just restarting the unit (not reset needed). Others say reset... I've seen some saying they can only get rid of it turning down gain and/or volume in the amp, so if they want more distortion they have to put a pedal before it, and I imagine not as a boost (as it would end up creating the same situation of too hot input) but as a distortion pedal or overdrive. I used a Jaguar Kurt Cobain signature; I think it's humbuckers are quite hot (high output). I'll try with a Cort X1 in single and humbucker mode and an RG2228 with active EMGs (I'll use padding). I'll try some things, if I find a solution I'll tell.
  3. I have no real experience but have read enough to say, as DunedinDragon indicated, that once the sound comes from speakers, how you hear it depends on your relative position to them. Try positioning your head right in front of the center of the cone (same height! so either put the speakers waist-height or sit down on the floor); that should be the most similar sound to listening through headphones, I think. Hope it helps somebody.
  4. Thank you a lot for this thread! I'll try changing the bias in some presets which make weird over-distortion at least since 3.50 update. Sag is useful and noticeable! It's explained in the Helix Manual. A low sag gives you an immediate response, it's "colder" but perfect for some Metal precise rhythms. A higher sag creates some compression, an so some sustain; it's a more bluesy thing. Hum and ripple as much as I know just describe the "undesirable" background noise of real amps. I think it's almost independent from what one plays.
  5. Thank you. I've found more people have an issue when trying some presets in which suddenly a preset creates some strange over-distortion on a 6 string guitar lowest octave notes. Some thought of some parallel processing, so this may have something to do; I'll try it with 3.50. Some say it is fixed with a simple restart and seems to be due to changing several presets. It seems to only happen with distorted tones. I'm trying to know if it's hardware related or all helixes are like this. I'll also try if it's related to the electrical installation (it's brand new but...).
  6. Exactly the same here. I just purchased the Helix. I think it was v. 2.80 or so. As @silverhead said I've tried with Line 6 Update 1.24 and left it always with the focus os the OS (just in case, as it's Windows) and it worked. Thank you!
