I checked and I am running the correct version of java and am also running Sierra 10.12.2. This is what happens in the installer though.

was anyone able to get POD edit to work?

Don't quote me on this, but I think Line 6 Edit works in the JAVA environment.  So check to see if your are current for Java

Java 8 Update 111.  I could be totally wrong.

I am Sierra 10.12.2 on a MacBook Pro with 16 GB RAM.   Everything works flawlessly.

I use the Fostex T20RP MK ii  .

They are tough, versatile and comfortable. And can be used in other mixing/monitoring applications.  And the sound great!

The POD is studio out L & R into a mixer with some good monitors in my studio.

Note - on the Line 6 Audio-MIDI Devices in (Mac OS X 10) System Preferences in the Inputs & Recording tab, I am running about -3.0 dB, for the record sends.

I guess that is a somewhat pad?

that sounds good......I added a Ping Pong Delay....BPM is 106

and the delay is 32 (dot)....

Would you do this delay?  or pick another one?

how can i get a fatter sound out of the A30-TB? 

Using Bridge Humbucker.  

My chain has in it: [ with the settings so far]  

Noise Gate  50  50  ( only used when using signal coil)

Boost Comp   61  33  56  3 o'clock 3 o'clock

Tube Drive    53  50  47   10 o'clock  4o'clock

AMP  A30TB  56  69  100  65  50  100  27  

AMP Parameters : standard no change

CAB Parameters : only changed the Low cut to 9 o.clock

Mixer  A+B  PAN Centre and  +2dB

Volume Pedal

Reverb  Hall   38  82  40  27

I just stumbled on to this post as sometimes I do "Dual Cab".  

I was wondering if what I pulled together recently for Salvation's Tide was a good thing from your perspective?

I just kind of play around and find stuff - and if it sounds ok to me, then I go with that.  So I am curious as to what I should be listening for.

I know this is very subjective.....but I like to learn.

Question.   I was watching a youtube video on the Helix..(Pete Thorn).  Awesome musician.  He was referencing a new term that I have not heard before -

Impulse Response.

What is it - in a nut shell?  Is this used in the POD 500X realm - and I am not aware?

Hello POD 500X users.

Might seem dumb but when I create a tone I started off with no amp.

The first block was DIST: Tube Drive.

And poof, I have a tone.  Even though no amp is set yet.  Guitar volume is about 2...but when increased to 10, the volume goes up and more drive.

Why?

I don't know how it all works together.  I try and create from what little i know and how it sounds - to me.

Can any one enlightened me....

I will give that a whirl.....  I was thinking two smart harmony (L-Octave Up &R-Octave Down) and mess around with the key, scale, and mix and offset the mix in the mixer.

I will assign the mix to my 2nd foot pedal -  basically a  clean tone with some overdrive, delay and a vibrato...
