couldnt agree more. I absolute love this piece of gear :). I really enjoy that even if you are setting up the band from scratch, the preset setups for the different kinds of voices and instruments sounds absolutely great.

I must admit that I too have had some concerns about this mixer, seeing all the posts about errors with it here. but its all gone the second i boot my mixer ;)

people generally only post whenever they have some kind of problem, so its a pretty distorted picture if you only look at that side of it.

I guess if you should get a more correct picture of things, you would have to somehow get the total amount of M20D mixers sold Worldwide and subtract the number of people with problems/broken hardware from this board and FB board. 

you would then end up with a more correct picture to decide if Theres any causes to worry about. :)

I wouldnt get my hopes up. as mentioned several times on the forum, M20D is not intended to be used as a Audio interface. I dont think the hardware is capable of processing the audio as fast as needed for use as a audio interface.

Guess you can record to an SD Card, and then import the file to your DAW from the SD Card.

Makes it alittle more difficult, but its better that nothing :)

Did you try the "forget this Network" procedure?

I have kind off the same problem. connection drops out and comes back online. The difference is that mine comes back online almost immediately. Its still really annoying tho.

I found that if i "forget the Network" on the ipad, and then reconnect to it, at the beginning of the show, the problem is gone. it comes back the next time im connecting to the Network, but at least i know how to get around it. :)

I cant see how its much easier to go to a shop, figure out that it doesnt work and the go back to return and get a new one....4 times.. :blink: .

I dont want to be a smartass or anything, but youre taking the long route to a solution thats already found :).

The way I see it is, you paid a nice amount of gold for this great mixer, but when it comes to the options for it you want to take the "cheap" way, to save a couple of bucks? its really not worth the hazzle. :)

I seem to remember line 6 recommending not more than 3 or 4 ipads at one time. more than this will eat up the bandwith.

I havent seen my airport since we installed it in our mixer rack ;) , but I seem to remember a USB port on it. would it not be useable in the same way as youre doing with the moshi?

Im sad to report that I have also had some monitor-seems-to-live-its-own-life trouble.

I am the only one in the band operating the mixer.

we made our soundcheck as usual, and all was well. I saved everything and we powered down. when we came back to do the gig, the drummer complained that his monitor sounded really bad. I then saw that there suddenly was alot of FX in his monitor mix.

sometimes the monitor is turned all the way down when i power up the mixer. other times its where it was when i saved the setup/scene.

remember to make sure you have your router set to DHPC/NAT and not set to BRIDGE mode.

I tried to use a USB 3.0 HD that I bought at Cosco.  The light came on the HD but it wouldn't work.  I read this post and learned that the HD was in NTFS format.  I followed the above post and was able to reformat the HD to FAT32.  My one question is does the HD need to have external power or will it work off of the MD20?

I believe that the HDD needs external power supply to work with M20D.

I have tried with 3 different USB powered HDD, with no luck. my old usb 2.0 HDD with power supply works like a charm. :)

I just read it the OP again, and see that the request is to not just to have different levels but to change the effect type.

so I think this makes it even more difficult. keeping in mind that if you change the effect type for one channel, you change it for all channels. So you need to be careful that no other uses that effect "slot" on their channel.

I think theres some problems with the switch-scenes-solution.

if you want to do this, you have to make a compete soundcheck and adjustments, save the scene and then copy it to a new scene.

then make your fx ajustments, and save it as v2 of your scene.

now this can work very well, but... if you make ANY adjustment on either v1 or v2 of your scene, you will loose them when shifting between the scenes.

I might be all wrong. If i am, i just love my mixer even more :)

seeing how many ppl on this forum who use an airport express and they all report back that it works flawlessly (when its setup correctly), I must admit that im a little puzzled why someone insist on buying the different USB dongles and routers that apparently doesnt have the same succesrate. :rolleyes:

nah.. of course I am joking :P .. but still. ;)

I get that its cheaper to choose the alternatives. I just think that the mixer is in a pricerange where i really dont want to "cheap-out" on what i connect to it. just wondering :)

ok.. took the chance and upgraded to 1.2 last night,

seems to work ok, exept for now theres an occational crackling sound in the in-ear monitors that wasnt there before.. I "downgraded", loaded the same setup and scene and the crackling sound is not there...I upgrade to 1.2, and the weird sound is there again, still only occationaly. :unsure:

oh no.. this makes me very unhappy... :unsure:

considering that we have used ALOT of time with our setups, done by a soundtechnician (that we paid for) its really a huge issue if it doesnt work after upgrading to 1.2. (we have alot of setups).

fortunatly i havent upgraded it yet. was actually going to do it today, but thats not going to happen. :wacko:

I really need for line6 guys to respond to this issue.

If I was in your shoes i would search a little bit on this forum (and the old) about your troubles with connecting to M20D.. there ALOT of good advice and stuff to try or check out to resolve it.
