Cheers! Did I make a good buy? Or should I get them to upgrade to the MKii

I purchased a new Line 6 Spider Valve HD 100 last week with the knowledge that it was the latest and greatest head around, only to discover that the MKii had replaced it a while ago.

Could someone please tell me how long ago was the upgrade available on the market. I need to go to the music store which sold this amp to me and get them to replace it with the newer mkii.
