  1. Does anyone else experience this with the HD500x? I tap in a tempo that is perfectly in sync with a metronome but the delay is not quite in synch. Also, When I use tremolo (specifically the opto trem) it starts out dead on accurate but after a few pulses or chops it speeds up quite a bit... Trying for a helicopter type choppy trem thats in synch with tempo..
  2. Thanks spaceatl! This solved the dry signal problem. Now if only I can get a handle on this horrific feedback...
  3. Thanks for the reply buddy! I'll try to switch settings this weekend when I get back to my practice spot and see if that works. Did you by any chance listen to that clip i posted? That is some of the most gnarly Feedback(???) I have ever heard. Wasn't sure if it was normal or not.
  4. Hello, I feel like I"m posting here once a week. It's occuring to me that perhaps I'm not ready for such an advanced peice of music gear. Anyway, I have the HD500X running l/mono out into a peavey classic 50/50 power amp into my 412 cabinet. I'm running the power amp in stereo to the single stereo 412 cab (to match impedance). I have two issues: One, I have it set up for dual amp mode.. top amp is soldano clean full version... and then i step on the footswitch and it turns off the clean and turns on the bottom amp soldano overdrive. The clean sounds great, but when I turn on the overdrive (switch amps) I have the amp model and the dry signal mixed together. I have tried turning down the level on channel one and two to see if the wet signal is being routed to one channel only, but that's not the case. Both channels are getting equal amounts of wet and dry signal. Obviously I don't want the dry signal in there. Is there a setting I'm not aware of in the amp blocks????? Also, I'm getting a weird feedback when I turn on the overdrive and delay.. (video attached)... Its like no feedback I've ever heard before. I have tried the noise gate, but that doesn't stop it. I have tried in all output settings and even line/guitar mode and it still does it. I have a fair amount of gain, digital delay, and ducking reberb... It just turns into a loud hissing metallic noise. HERE is the Video of the weird feedback: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ki9tVUeBnCE&feature=youtu.be thank you and sorry for posting so much!
  5. Hello Thanks for the reply. As far as I know, there is no voltage tap. I will look for a instructions on rewiring my cabinet. Hopefully it's not too difficult Do I have things set up correctl? I am going Mono Left out of the HD into the power amp. I have the output setting on Stack Power (or something like that) and I have the switch on the front set to line (amplifier setting is way too quiet). Is this how I set it to run into a power amp?
  6. Hello, I checked and I have it plugged in correctly. It's weird. From what i've been reading, this thing should be rattling windows with room to spare.... Not sure what else it could be. Plugging into a power amp.. what should the pod be set to?
  7. Hello... I'm admitting defeat and asking for help. So, here is where I'm at... I just bought a new ART SLA-2 Power amp that I want to run my HD500x into. Problem is, I have to crank the ART and the HD just to get a volume loud enough to get over a drummer. My set up is guitar > HD > ART Bridged mode (530 watts and 8 ohms) > 4x12 cab running mono 16 ohms. Now, I know that running 8ohm head to 16 ohm cab will cut down the watts some, but It's crazy quiet. If I set the HD to "Line" mode instead of amp, it's louder and and comes very close to getting loud enough in the mix, but it feeds back TERRIBLY and there is a constant unholy noise or robotic sounding hiss. (I have to max all volumes on the HD) I uploaded a video of the crazy noise that it emits... it's a cellphone video, but it gives you an idea. I have tried all the various output settings and nothing seems to work. So, how can I set this up so that I don't have to crank all the volumes to get close to a useable live volume???
  8. The tubes were replaced with new jj eurotubes a few months ago.
  9. Hello, Was wondering if anyone else had this issue. I have my pod hd500x (brand new.. I've only had it a couple days) hooked into the effects loop of my Bugera 333xl 212 Combo Tube amp. I can't use the 4CM as I've got other pedals in the chain and it's all running through a the patchbay on my SKB PS-45 pedal board...... so basically, I've got: Effects Send>> Pod>>Sonic Maximizer>>Ditto Looper>> Effects Return.... and I've got my tuner and dirt pedals running direct into front (I plug my guitar into the front of the amp). I just have my cables plugged into the instrument input of the pod, and the mono output into the next pedal. So certain presets are causing a VERY lout squealing sound... even with the amp turned down so it's not feedback. It actually persists as I'm playing. It seems that the presets that are using amp models are the ones that are giving off the squealing noise... So I think it's hooked up as it should be. Questions:: Do I have the output settings wrong? What should everything be set to when running through the effects loop of a tube amp? Would it be best to just ditch the tube amp all together and just buy a nice power amp instead?
