  1. No problem. I'm glad we could help!!
  2. For me, the real issue is bluetooth connectivity. It's just not stable/reliable. But now I've got my tones saved on the FHFX, I can live with it. Also we really need further HD effects/amps. Just throw us a few HD crumbs from Helix's table....
  3. I've had it for about 18 months so that's probably it.
  4. I've got the Firehawk Remote app on my ipod touch and my ipad 2 (which stopped upgrading at ios9), no probs. Keep trying and let us know how you get on. And welcome to the forum!
  5. Return it. You don't want to start getting into having it repaired after having it for 2 weeks.
  6. Ha! That's what I meant. As always, I took the long way round!
  7. I thought Line 6 promoted Ideascale as being the place for new ideas, to improve products etc., not for people to report defects affecting some or all units. Support would be the right place to raise the issue and, in my opinion, their response is inappropriate and inadequate. It is clearly an issue that needs to be resolved. The reality is that people do kick in the compressor part way through a song and, regardless, bringing the compressor in at any time should not spike the volume.
  8. Just wondering. It's at the Helix LT pricepoint but with the 7" touchscreen and other improvements. It seems (to me at least) to be something of a bridge between the FHFX and the Helix, maybe an improvement in functionality compared with the HxLT - 20min looper, scribble strips etc - http://www.headrushfx.com/ I don't know much about the Eleven HD amp/effects models or Headrush's product support but given Line 6's lack of interest in developing the FH, I'm used to receiving limited product development. I'm almost sold on the Headrush because of the 20min looper alone. BTW, I have no affiliation with Headrush and I don't sell pedalboards, jst wondering what people think.
  9. Maybe the new iteration will be called the Phoenix?
  10. It would be nice but I doubt it. It will need a hardware upgrade and I can't see a Firehawk 2 on the horizon.
  11. Also don't forget that your 240W solid state isn't necessarily louder than your pal's 50W tube amp as solid state and tube amp power differs greatly.
  12. That's really handy to have the spreadsheet with the amp info alongside the patch names. By the way (to the OP), I don't know whether you were aware, but Line 6 have published a list of patch/bank names already - http://line6.jp/products/firehawk/img-firehawk-resource/firehawk-fx-factory-presets-english.pdf And further info about amp models and effects - http://uk.line6.com/data/6/0a06439c36d454ebd5077a5a3/file/pdf/firehawk-amp-models.pdf http://uk.line6.com/data/6/0a06439c36fe54ebd52c487eb/file/pdf/firehawk-effects-models.pdf
  13. Fair enough. I don't know much about midi and don't use it. I saw it and wondered whether it applied to the FX.
  14. Talking of the v.1.30 update, I don't know whether anyone else has posted this, but if you search for the FH1500 updates, it explains what v.1.30 does (on the FH1500, at least!). Does anybody know whether this also applies to the FHFX? Clearly there would have to be a different way of accessing it as we don't have a 'preset' button on the floor unit. It says - "New Features Block Bypass, Expression controllers, and Looper functions can now be triggered by incoming MIDI CCs (MIDI DIN only). Please see the following KB article for more information: http://line6.com/support/page/kb/_/amplifiers/firehawk-1500/firehawk-1500-and-midi-cc-r860 XLR output volume can now be adjusted from Live Edit Mode. This was implemented to avoid clipping the ADC prematurely. It is set to -15dB by default, to provide adequate headroom for mid to high gain tones. To edit the XLR output volume: 1. Press the preset knob to enter Live Edit Mode. 2. Scroll left to "Etc:ReAmp/MIDI/Main" and press the preset knob. 3. Scroll right to "Etc:XLR Out" 4. Turn the Main (Big) Knob to set the value. Bug Fixes Various bug fixes and improvements" The KB article says - Firehawk 1500 v1.30.0 now responds to individual incoming midi to control various effect block bypass controls, expression pedal values, or triggers virtual foot switches (like FBV3). Prior to this, Firehawk 1500 previously only responded to and sent out program change messages. All MIDI control is thru the MIDI DIN ports only, no MIDI over USB functionality has been implemented. Here's the updated reference chart And the charts -
  15. Welcome to the forum and enjoy your FHFX!
  16. Have you tried resetting the FH (press and hold master volume knob and tap button when switching on)? If that doesn't help, I would suggest opening a support ticket. It may be a faulty unit/bluetooth module. Out of interest, does the FH work okay apart from that (ie plays okay on factory settings)?
  17. It sounds like an issue with your phone if your Mac can see it. Have you got all updates installed on your phone? Also, bear in mind that the FH cannot connect to two devices at the same time. When you switch it on, the FH is likely to automatically connect to the Mac so when you try to connect with your phone, it won't let you. Try making sure there are no other devices with bluetooth switched on when you connect your phone..
  18. Have you tried putting it between Firehawk FX 1/4" Out and H&K Amp Return in your last step? Surely you would want the Trio to be unaffected by any Firehawk effects but be amplified. And BTW, no need to apologise for your English. It's much better than my Spanish ;)
  19. Sorry I've just re-read my post and I don't think I was clear. I meant that I killed the program altogether by double pressing the home button then swiping the program up to end it, rather than just closing it by pressing the home button once to navigate away from it. Then when you start up the program again it asks you to sign in again. Either way, I agree that it's a right royal PITA.
  20. Hooray. My faith in humanity (and Line6) has been restored. Now, line6will.... how about an update for the Firehawk?
  21. Closing the app and reopening it usually works for me on ios.
  22. Select 'no amp' on the list of amps. I think it's in the Clean Amps section.
  23. I'm not experiencing your problem but would it help if you turned down the guitar mix and turned up the overall volume level?
  24. I'm not having that problem on mine, but you are right, Save To My Tones should overwrite the tone file. Save As (but not amending the title) would produce a duplicate. I know it's not an ideal solution but when this problem came up previously, mcbeddall suggested doing Save As... then adding a number to the end so you know which is the new tone and then deleting all the old versions.
  25. I don't think Line 6 even bother with this forum anymore. It's more a user-user support channel. Come on Line 6, prove me wrong and answer the guy's question!
