@ Line6Tony - any ideas Tony?
-
Hi
Anyone know if the original FBV Express (not the Mk ii) work with Amplifi? Someone I know has one and has offered me it but it would need posting, so keen to save postage if it won't work with my Amplifi 75.
Regards

Here's what's missing from this: Since the search results are limited to 30, and it's always the top 30, first, they need to change this on the iOS/Android device app. If you search for Line (e.g.), you get 30. There are more than 30. How can you determine which 30 the app decides to serve up? You can't. Download one to your device, search again, the same one(s) you already have still pop up. It's a very poor search facility.
Second, as this is all happening through Bluetooth, there is good reason to create desktop machine applications for the AmpliFi. I use the 75 in my office and home studio, and it would be good to be able to interact with the amp from the desktop iMac.
Third, there should be some kind of website reference or repository (the latter especially if they make a desktop app) for amp patches. That way one could see sorted and unlimited lists of patches, and searching would also be much easier.
Yep, agree entirely! Just need to get Line6 to take these ideas on board...

Hi
Most of the things you mention have been covered on here or Line6' IdeaScale (where you can log ideas for enhancements etc)

Tones from scratch:http://line6.ideasca...td/612152-23508
Good luck with it, it's cool product. :-) -
Strangely the blurb for the update promised:
• My Tones now include Factory Presets to help start your tone collection
Maybe I am just not understanding how you find these?
-
Hi
Does anyone know an easy way to find the Line6-created tones from Tone search?
If I enter Line 6 I get 30 but I'm sure there are much more. Anyone got any bright ideas?
cheers

Yay! Working on my iphone5s now :-)
Thanks L6

Thanks for your continued patience. Here's the latest on this issue:
- We have submitted a fix for App Store Review
- Apple has granted us an expedited review, and the review is expected to start soon
- This crash is impossible to reproduce on any version of the app that has not been processed for the live App Store, even by Apple
- The crash affects iPhones only; iPads are unaffected
- Apple provides no means of reverting to a previous app build
- When a new app is released in the App Store, the previous version is automatically removed from the App Store
- Users can restore to a previous version through iTunes, if the device had previously been backed up
We apologize for how this has inconvenienced our customers. I'll post again once I have pertinent information.
Many thanks for the update. Let's hope Apple get this processed ASAP. :-)

@Brad_Ames. Which version do you have on your iPad? The latest version does seem to have the enhancements mentioned apart from the My Tones now include Factory Presets to help start your tone collection.
If all Line 6 need to do is debug to fix compatibility with latest iOS then I wouldn't think they would have to wait 7 days to upload when they have it fixed...
-
I have tweeted Line 6 but had nothing back so far :( An ETA (even if its in days rather than hrs) would help set expectations...
BTW I had a quick look on my ipad yesterday (not connected to the Amp) and couldn't see the:
• My Tones now include Factory Presets to help start your tone collection
Anyone found these or did I miss something?

For info, and hopefully to aid diagnosis.
I updated my iphone5s with iOS 7.1.1 (11D201) and then Amplifi Remote to 1.01. It crashed so I restarted and still crashed.
Updated my ipad2 with Amplifi remote (but iOS software is NOT the latest, it is 7.1 (11D167)) and it crashed. Clicked again and left it FOR A FEW MINS and it works. I haven't had a chance to connect to my Amplifi hardware though so cannot say if there are any issues there...

-
My guess is that when the Amplifi FX100 is released we will see some enhancements to the Amplifi Remote app. Anyone know when it is due to be released, think I read somewhere that it will be May.
Anyone from Line 6 (Tony?) able to confirm my suspicion and, even better, what might the enhancements be?
-
Haven't tried that but I have played an electro-acoustic straight through it with a clean sound and it sounds really good (not my playing btw - the tones)...
-
Yeah, L6T is spot on. I updated to 1.00.5 as soon as I got my 75 and have had no trouble with bluetooth connectivity.
-
You don't have the repeat track arrows in red immediately below song length (time) when you are playing do you?
-
Thanks RealZap. Cool, so if we get more than 4 presets I might be looking at Fbv shb mk1 on eBay :-)
-
Great video.
Anyone got a simple explanation of differences between the Mk 1 and Mk 2 short boards please? And what could the FBV Express do attached to this amp?
-
Line6 Gurus/Uber Gurus, don't take it all so personally. I don't know the history between you guys but I thought the whole point of this forum is to discuss what we, the forum community, feel is good or not so good about L6 products or pass tips on etc.
From an outsider point of view it perhaps does feel like no-one is listening and if you look at the ideascale page that nothing is moving. From a consumer pov if there is a process for logging enhancement requests that L6 have put in place then you like to feel that these are being taken seriously and worked on or at least considered. At the minute, if I'm being honest, and as someone new to L6 products I'm on the fence re the quality of customer experience.
Time (and I mean weeks or a few months) will define my opinion of customer service from L6 and potentially my desire to purchase further items. However, having said that I did some research & the product does what it said it would: it's a great product. BUT the app could be so much better.
I get that there is a specific support team who will just be ensuring it does as described and designed (I work in application development and maintenance for a large [FTSE 100] UK company) but as I said earlier there is nothing wrong with the developers checking out these threads and understanding what can be done to enhance the experience. May not be common across many companies but not radical thinking either...
Peace to all & have a great weekend

Good review and interesting points about differences playing itunes library through Bluetooth-v-line in and music via remote app-v-music streamed from iTunes/spotify.
Has this, from the review, been confirmed:
Update: After submitting the review, I learned that an upcoming firmware patch will give you access to more presets than just the 4. This would be very a very welcome addition to the AMPLIFi that would solve a major shortcoming. I’ll get you full details when that patch launches.
