I'm just curious as to why you want to roll back? -

Just listening to a guy who was part of the Honeysuckle tracking station team in Australia at the time. He said that their computer was the size of a wardrobe and had 32k of memory. It was an amazing achievement for the time, but what a shame it was merely a prelude to bigger and faster nukes. There's a really nice film, "The Dish" following the moon landing, set in the Parkes observatory which played a key part in relaying coms.

Q. Why don't they have any badminton courts in the jungle? A. Because there isn't the demand. :D Update took quarter of an hour or so, no issues whatsoever, Rack & controller, Windows 7. I really like the new Fullerton, very smooth and rich. I had some good fun with the Asheville too. Looking forward to exploring a bit more once I get some time. Oh, and of course, how could I forget, we now have, wait for it................UNDO & REDO!! Ahhhhhhhhh. Better late than never I suppose. :) Good job L6, glad I took the plunge.

Err, no. I must admit, that never occurred to me at all. "Has it ever occurred to you that the reason my husband beats me is...................................so you see, it's actually for my benefit" -

So, which thread did Digital_Igloo decide to announce the release on? And how many people are going to miss it because: A. They assume Line 6 would have the common sense to announce it on their official sticky, it would of course be ridiculous to do otherwise, wouldn't it? B. They won't bother looking here because it's been hijacked by a bunch of schoolgirls. Great job forum admin. -

What a lovely bunch of coconuts. -

I know, it's painfully ironic, isn't it. :) -
-
I hope you never suffer the misfortune which it would clearly take for you to appreciate the current depth of your own ignorance. -

I really shouldn't have to explain this, but here we go. This is a world wide forum, for everyone. All nationalities, races, creeds, ages, able bodied, disabled, etc, everybody. Now, amongst all of those are going to be people who do not have the time or ability to wade through reams of guff, to find the posts which should, as designated by the title, be the only ones (or the majority at least) there. People may have sight problems, dyslexia, autism, any number of things which make browsing more difficult for them than others. Now I know some of you guys think that this forum is your own personal domain, and so the rules, which are there to make things accessible and run smoothly for everyone, don't apply to you. Well, it isn't and they do. Not simply for the sake of it, but so that EVERYONE is able to get the most out of the forum. Nobody wants you to stop partying, by all means party away. But please, remember that there are lots of people out there who struggle to read on screen text, and try to give them a little thought and empathy along the way. -

You clearly don't get it. This is basic common courtesy to other users, standard forum etiquette, and for good reason too. Judging by your rather unpleasant attitude, I'd say I've touched a nerve and you know my point is entirely valid, but you simply don't care, you're having your fun and that's all that matters to you. My 6 year old also exhibits this kind of behaviour from time to time, I hope she grows out of it before she's your age. -
-
Because I'm also interested in what might be being said about the subject within this thread which, unlike the sticky, is not closed. Surely the two are not mutually exclusive? -
-
I don't want to avoid the topic, which is why I click on the topic. Why don't you guys simply open up another thread, to randomly party on and leave this thread for it's intended use? Personally, I'd rather 3 relevant posts than hundreds of irrelevant ones. -
-
I'm not really that bothered when or if it drops, but I am curious as to whether line 6 has commented on the delay, on the forum where they post the updates and the announcement of it. I'm also curious as to whether this forum has any moderators. If so, is off topic no longer a concern? Am I odd in coming to this thread expecting to read something related to the topic title? -
-
Thanks for that brue58ski, apologies for missing your original post, but there's a lot of, err, irrelevant stuff, to wade through here. So nothing at all about it from Line 6 on here then. -
-
Has there been any comment from Line 6, regarding the delay to this update, on this on this forum at all? -
-
As already said, it's just bluetooth latency. You may like to take a look at these headphones, they're pretty good, latency of around 17ms which is livable-with for me. https://steelseries.com/gaming-headsets/siberia-840 Bear in mind that if you are also planning to use some sort of wireless guitar link, the combined latency of both together will stack. -

yes, I spent some time going round in circles with no success, so thank you very much cloph, much appreciated. -

I'm looking for a list of the real amps modeled in the TT, specifically the 1993 Solo 100 Head, but can't seem to find one anywhere. Thanks. -
-
Hmm, not sure the Mrs. would approve of that one. Nah, she's perfect as is. Well, until the next update of course. :) -
-
No no, not mine, she's different from all the rest. :) -
-
Aw gee, thanks. -

I just want to wish my Helix a very happy Valentine's day! It's our first together, and although we had our differences to start with, it's been nearly a year now and I'm still smitten. I forsee a long and mutually loving future together. -
-
It's a very personal decision, maybe ask yourself some other questions. How happy are you with the tones you're getting from your current equipment? How keen are you to experiment with new amps, equipment blocks, routing etc. because to get the best out the Helix takes a little work. How much time do you spend playing? I'm only a home player, sometimes recorder, but I'm delighted with my Helix and would replace it without a second thought, (heavens forbid!) But I enjoy experimenting, have quite fussy ears, and spend 4 - 8 hours playing regularly, so Helix is money well spent for me. As to output, I mostly use headphones, I didn't like the way it sounded through my vox. I will eventually go down the FRFR rout, but don't really have the space right now. I'm tempted to simply advise you to get one, but that's because I love mine. At the end of the day, only you can decide. Best of luck. (GET ONE!!!) oops. :o -

I've gone through the Helix Rack & Controller manual and can't find what I'm after. Is there a way to confirm a footswitch assignment other than running over to the helix and pressing knob 6 before it times out? A long press of the footswitch to confirm would be useful. It seems a strange omission given how much you can do with the controller, I feel I must be missing something. Thanks. -
