So I opened a support ticket for this & Line6 says that "People's don't usually kick a compressor on and off during play, but if it's a desired feature I would encourage you to submit that feedback at our idea scale" so I have done exactly that at https://line6.ideascale.com/a/idea-v2/903644

I've noticed this too. Sounds kind of like a loud pop... Exact same behavior, spike on 1st activation.

Cue *tap dance of bank up/down*

In all seriousness, thank you guys for the info & alternative solution.  Pros & cons I guess, big pro would be just one foot tap to go to a completely different sound.

That would beg a 2nd question, any dead silence or delay when changing patches like the old days... *cough* digitech gnx *cough*

Anybody has any idea if the Amplifi FX100 has stompbox mode? E.g., Switch A will trigger an OD, B will switch amp channels, C to trigger a Chorus & so on...
