  1. I can reassure all the speaker is the weakest link in this case. I used the direct out (which bypasses the installed speaker) into a Tech 21 Power Engine 2x12 and all the buzzy/fizzy high end disappeared. Just bought the amp on New Years Eve but it is going back. To invest in a better speaker is out of the question. Once again, still after decades in this game, Line 6 still lollipopting the bed where it really counts.
  2. The absolute worst amp I have ever bought...and I thought my Flextone sucked! It floors me that after decades in the modeling business, Line 6 just keeps lollipopting the bed. Did anyone play this amp before it was ok'd to be release?? The fizzy/buzzy top end in the driven and high gain is unbearable and at its all time worst. Amp is being returned tomorrow...total fail Line 6!
  3. With my MKII HD 100, I went into the menu settings and turned down VOL from 100% to 30%. I have had great success with this technique. It allows me to turn up the channel and master volumes to a reasonably room volume and still retains tonal character.
  4. Best money I have spent in many years! When I bought my Vetta II I was tweaking all the time and playing very little...it simply sucked. After about a year I was ready to take an axe to it... Now with the Armin Mod...I play it and tweak very little...It is now a definite keeper.
  5. I put 100 watt Carvin British Series in mine and it made a remarkable improvement. Now I have 150 Swamp Thangs...even better.
  6. I may be wrong but I do believe what you are wanting is not possible.
  7. I was having a difficult time with it as well. This is what worked for me... 1. Opened Line 6 Updater. 2. With Firehawk connected via USB cable, I turned it on and then Updater showed Firehawk on its screen. 3. From there I followed prompts and it updated within a few minutes. Hope this helps.

  9. Can I run my Spider Valve HD100 with two power tubes instead of 4 to reduce power and get power amp breakup earlier?
