  1. Your welcome! I didn't figured out some things by myself, f.e. how to finally delete selfmade presets (not only from a setlist) or how to exchange presets between my iPhone 5 and my iPad 4 the best way (without creating douplicates (which can't be deleted) all the way).
  2. Click it, hold and pull it down to its colored box. Gone :)
  3. Thank you :) I have 0000 Steel wool here at home, so I will give it a try on one of my JTV-59
  4. Can you please post a picture of the type of Scotch pad you used? I am interested in trying the same because my hands get stuck from time to time too, when sweating.
  5. If you activate two effect-blocks and assign them both to the same switch both will be deactivated (when you save the patch in this state) when you use the footswitch and vice versa. If one of those two blocks is active and the other inactive they will switch their individual state.
  6. Because you asked in the forum section for "general discussion" no one can know which Line6 device you are using.
  7. It is a pain in the @ss that L6 do not allow to block these knobs by an option in the system parameters. Something called "stage-mode" could easily prevent unwanted changes.
  8. WORD! And only use the interface for re-flashing the firmeware and... do it twice, for safety reasons* * not kidding! The flash overwrite seems to be glitchy somehow, especially when a other device than the interface is used
  9. Your welcome! Please keep in mind not to push the gain-stage before the amp to hard to avoid digital-clipping ;)
  10. Try to set both inputs to "Variax" on the HD (I don't know if the Helix has the same option?). The tone will become filled with warmth, punch and some fingerlicking spicy mustard immediately ;)
  11. Some answers on FB are more inclusive, saying: "Pad mode is only for instruments with active pickups. Passive pickups never overload the gain stage even with high output Pickups." Any opinions on that? That's the way I use it at the moment. If the pad is not needed anything I loose (in worst case) should be some tone-thickness and dynamics, didn't it?
  12. As many others I am searching for a solution to connect my smaller Sonic Port (without VX) to a desktop PC or MAC, to use it as an regular audio-interface. Here are two other threads, where the the basic possibility are declared… http://line6.com/support/topic/1042-usb-too-or-just-30-pinlightning/ http://line6.com/support/topic/7018-sonic-port-and-gragaeband-on-a-mac-computer/ Unfortunately no one has postet a self-testet adapter or cable to… either connect the existing 30 pin male to a solution providing 30 pin female > Standard USB A or connect the existing Lightning male to a solution providing Lightning female > Standard USB A And if someone could specify the type of USB-port at the device itself, maybe no adapter would be needed because in this case it would be possible to use a solution like "strange USB-port of the Sonic Port" > Standard USB A But obviously the easiest way would be, if Line6 or another service would offer the standard USB A-cable for the desktop-connection from the bigger Sonic Port VX as a replacement or addition
  13. JTV-59 & POD HD500x users: How do you use the "Guitar in pad/normal"-switch on the POD HD? I feel and read that the PUps on the 59 are very hot, so I use "pad" to prevent peaking the gain-stages at the POD.
  14. Interesting master-thesis about ampsimulations and it's components. Unfortunately (for you) it is in German language, but maybe it can be translated by Google? Otherwise the comparing graphics might be nearly self explaining on pages 38, 53, 54 which illustrates the 3 basic tests A (all knobs like Marshall, 212 cabsim), B (tweaked to match), C (cabsim off, Bogner 212) https://www.hdm-stuttgart.de/~curdt/Schempp.pdf Abstract The goal of this study is to analyze whether digital ampsimulations are able to reproduce the sound of real analogue tube amplifiers and possibly replace them completely. They are tested with different settings in different scenarios and heard solo and within a mix of a pop-song. Furthermore the components of the whole signal chain which surround the ampsimulations are analysed and possible deficits revealed.
  15. Hi bether, does this adapter cable need some special specs, or can I take every femal 30 pin to regular USB adapter (is this the stuff labeled "Camera Connector"), to connect the Line6 Sonic Port to a Mac. Most of these cables and adapters are declared for powering the device and not for data transfers. Maybe there is a female Lightning to regular USB solution, too? And does this solution even work with a PC on MS Windows?
  16. Unfortunately loops are only temporary and not storable within the POD., so you have to record your phrases externally.
  17. As I am not a native speaker I am willing to learn what your comment means, even if It was just for ironic reasons.
  18. Thomann: "Due back in stock on 23.08.2017" Unusual, but at least a good thing :)
  19. Can't say I would be sorry. It's such a bargain unit <3
  20. I am pretty sure that the POD HD500 will disappear at all big sellers very soon. Pricing for the 500x was stable for years and now prices drop enormously and the POD disappears at the biggest seller in the EU. After the release of the Helix LT there might no need, to sell a unit only cannibalizing sells of other units. However... only time will show!
  21. After some price-drops in the last few weeks Thomann offers only the Line6 POD HD Pro X. The POD HD500x is no longer online and there is no upcoming stock information. Seems that the HD-Line is going to leave the market forever now. A pity especially after this surprising comparison… https://www.thegearpage.net/board/index.php?threads/ax8-headrush-helix-hd500x-shootout.1852940/ I will keep mine until it's death (and already bought a backup for 170 USD)
  22. Someone with the skills should build this adapter and sell it. I would buy one for sure if it comes within the 20 USD price range.
  23. Cloud-handling of patch-backups is a pain in the @ss. Every time you import a backup, to keep your devices up to date (tone-wise), the backup creates duplicates of the tones you like to update with the tweaked ones. This wouldn't be o problem if the date of the last editing would be displayed in the patch list. So the only proper way to import tweaked patches from fe iPad to iPhone is to know exactly which patches you are importing so you can delete the old ones before you import the tweaks.
  24. Just choose "used" and type in the date of your own purchase. As you bought it used, it is most likely that there is no warranty to loose so the date of the initial purchase is useless for you and Line6. You would even need the bill to get warranty services so the date of purchase is useless.
  25. Hi. I am new to Mobile POD and only got real experiences from Apps like JamUp, ToneStack, AmpKit. So far I use a App called iFile Organizer to play along over audio-tracks from my bandmates. iFile Organizer offers the ability to loop parts of a song and lets you decide the tempo up- and downwards. As the Mobile POD App offers similar features I thought about using these when jamming, but there is a big disadvantage, which seems to be the "import possibilities". Regardless to what other App I refer, all those others can be feed by using the "open in...", "Import to...", "send to..." feature of the cloud-services like iCloud, Drive and Dropbox where Mobile POD only seems to support the iTunes library as a source for imports into it's setlist. But this library itself can only be feed by purchasing tracks or syncing the music in your iTunes-Desktop library. Does anyone have a solution for this? How do you import playalong tracks into a music-setlist of Mobile POD?
