  1. I understand were you are coming from, but to be fair, if you wanted higher quality you should have opted for the G50/90 which have metal construction, which have also been replaced by the 70/75? I have 3 G30's and they have done hundreds of gigs if not well over a thousand, I am replacing them with the G10 as I too found the back pack a pain in the arse to keep secured on my strap. Shure also make a 2.4ghz wireless system that isn't too dissimilar to Line 6's product, however that is £350+ here in the Uk.
  2. Hi all, I currently have 4 XD-V35 mic units and hand held mics, when not gigging I also do some PA hire, I bought the line 6 mics for a 4 day event that consisted of solo artistes, dj's and comedians to make the stage less cluttered with cables. Now at the minute all my wireless receivers are all sat next to me at the FOH position, what I would like to do is somehow place these units in a 2u polycarbonate rack box that also has a 1u IEC rack unit to power them all. Not sure how to fix these units in at the minute as they're not rack mountable, one way is to use zip (cable) ties due to them being lightweight. Does anyone here see any problems with connection from the transmitters to the receivers, I would position the rack box on the stage so it would be within line of sight of the transmitter. Thanks 😀
  3. I recently purchased the G10 last Thursday and used it on Friday night. I am a pro musician who already owns three G30 devices. I got a bit cheesed off of having the transmitter keep falling off my guitar strap etc, apart from that I think they're excellent units. So I plugged the G10 in to charge and the led halo on the base unit pulses red throughout the charging process, not I had it plugged in charging for around 20hrs as I as expecting the halo to change colour to green when charging was complete. I had also read some of the above posts so assumed I may have bought a faulty unit. I was pleasantly surprised when I plugged the transmitter into my guitar to see it go to green and the halo on the base unit turn a constant white. I used the G10 and it was faultless, I play bass. A lot better than having a pack on your strap. No difference in tone from the G30. I was impressed so much by it that I have just ordered a second unit for my six string guitar. So does in fact look as if the base unit halo doesn't change colour whilst charging, it pulses read whether it is fully charged or not.
