  1. If a string ever gets stuck in the bridge from a break I just take the other half of the broken string and feed it into the bridge through the front and it should push out the string and ball end.
  2. If you're DL4 is misbehaving sometimes a simple reset will set it right, though you will lose any saved presets. You can reset your pedal to the factory settings by powering it up with the A and D footswitches held down - the power is turned on and off on the modeler pedals by inserting a plug into the left mono input jack.
  3. The Spider Remote app is what you use download/upload tones with Spider V, as well as edit. It is free to download for smart phone/tablet, Android/ iOS.
  4. Preset mode is the quickest way to access your favorite settings. You will have to organize the preset bank in order to quickly access the effects in the order you need. As OP asked "is there a trick" a way of accessing ie. patch 1 3 5 9 and 12 ?", I could see it being possible with midi. I have never attempted any midi madness with my M-series pedals so hopefully someone else will be able to chime in on that.
  5. What are you plugging FBV 3 into to loop? After a loop is created you can add overdubs but you cannot extend the loop and add another section.
  6. If you are still under warranty I would go that route. Opening up Amplifi and tinkering around could potentially void that warranty.
  7. Are you using an sort of EQ? People commonly use the global EQ/lo/hi cut, the lo/hi cut in the cab block, or an EQ block to tame any excess high end.
  8. I've linked a thread where a few users mention a few adapters that have worked for them http://line6.com/support/topic/24990-what-otg-cable-works-for-spider-v-please-help/
  9. Yep, string volume changes must be made in Workbench.
  10. Check out this post to answer your questions: http://line6.com/support/topic/28338-register-helix-for-a-free-second-year-of-warranty/
  11. Because of the wiring in some acoustic guitars a 1/4" female to 1/4" male adapter is required to get them to work with the g10 transmitter. As for your stomp boxes, if I understand correctly you are trying to go: Guitar>G10 system>stomp boxes>amplifier?

Good to hear! Not sure why the employee told you to hold off updating, but there should be no problem in using the latest firmware.

Just an FYI, you can also update the amp using the Spider Remote app on a phone/tablet as well as the Line 6 Updater on a computer. You will find the update option in the settings menu on the app.
  14. On your Helix change the output block to the desired USB channels, probably 1&2. This should keep the dry guitar sound from passing through Helix and out to your speakers.
  15. From the menu where you select your amp/cab/effects blocks you can choose the Impulse Response block. The first controllable parameter of the IR block selects which IR is being used.
  16. The serial number on mine is located on the bottom of the unit below a barcode and begins (21)M09..... hope this helps.
  17. It sounds like the username or password is wrong and Native is unable to connect to the Line 6 server. Your computer is online, hence arriving at the L6 password change page, Native is just not connecting to Line 6. I would double check that your username/password are the same you used to download Native. If the problem still persists contact customer support/open a ticket and they will get it sorted.

It is fine to update to the latest firmware, there are no issues in doing this. I've been running the latest firmware since it's release with no problem (also with g10t and FBV3). I'm wondering where you heard this and if they provided any other reasons/info?
  19. I get pretty great autowah results with the Mutant Filter in Helix. The best place to get these requests heard is on ideascale. On ideascale members post and vote on product requests. Some of your "wishes" are definitely up there so consider voting for them. https://line6.ideascale.com/
  20. Guitar speakers/cabinets typically have a frequency range around 80Hz-5kHz. I usually start with my cuts in the ballpark of those numbers and adjust by ear as well.
  21. Hold on the preset name and swipe left, the delete option should appear in red next to the preset name

  23. I too stick to the input block's gate, it's easiest and works for me. It may take some raising/lowering of your pickups if there is a major volume discrepancy between them.
  24. If you are going to use the wireless feature in Spider V then you won't be able to plug any pedals in the front of the amp. There is a noise gate at the beginning of the amp signal chain. You can see/edit it in the app or on the amp by selecting the FX button, then the edit button, then use the rotary push knob to scroll left until you find the noise gate.
  25. Exactly, the Helix models are all built completely from the ground up. No rehashes of old models, no "legacy DNA". These are far more nuanced and deeper than previous models L6 has made.
