  1. I've tried the following: Acer Iconia One 7 inch Asus Memopad 7, Sony Experia 10inch Samsung Galaxy Tab 8 or 9 (Don't remember) All of those worked well. My only problematic device is my Samsung S6 phone who would not connect when I first got the AMP. Now with the latest firmware on the AMP and on the phone it works but it's not stable if the phone goes to sleep it will lock it self. If I was in that situation I would buy a tablet from a place with a decent return policy try it and if it does not work simply return it.
  2. I use and old USB-C cable that must have came with an old printer and added an OTG adaptor from UGREEN like this one: https://aax-us-east.amazon-adsystem.com/x/c/QlLO3rIBo4IONfkeMU-zpgQAAAFhR6A-SwEAAAH2AXJAMAY/https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00N9S9Z0G?aaxitk=cPLot0g45zel8oGKsMuxRg&pd_rd_i=B00N9S9Z0G&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_p=3365067662&pd_rd_wg=RErod&pf_rd_r=F42V6D3RCVM91D5Y1TTZ&pf_rd_s=desktop-sx-top-slot&pf_rd_t=301&pd_rd_w=zXLAd&pf_rd_i=otg+cable&pd_rd_r=9d38b7cc-eac1-4fc5-aa3d-56554c962cf4&hsa_cr_id=5924767640601
  3. If I'm not mistaken the Tone Cloud option is only available using the Android or iOS version to the Spider Remote for now. You can vote for this feature to be added using ideascale... https://line6.ideascale.com/a/dtd/Include-Cloud-Tones-in-PC-Mac-software/917678-23508 BTW... When Spider V was released Remote only worked for Android and iOS, but Line6 did listen and released a PC/Mac version so there is hope! :-).
  4. Did you read the first thread on this page? Lots of useful tips on how to connect. First make sure the switch at the back is set correctly. Also make sure you have the proper OTG cable for your phone. Most phones use the standard OTG adapter but some need a specific one. If everything failed, the Spider now has a PC remote software you can try.
  5. I remember reading on another forum that the GT10T is simply the code name for the transmitter in the GT10 kit. So it should work fine. I believe you just have to plug you transmitter in the amp for the pairing to occur and you are good to go.
  6. Press the play pause button. If the amo is in the drum loop section, press the selector dial a few times until the music note on the left of the screen is highlighted then if you turn the dial you will switch from loop to metronome to riffs and then back to loop. Seems complicated when you read it, but on the amp it's easy to do.
  7. I pretty sure it won't work. I think Line6 uses a propitiatory signalling format between the foot controller and the amp. BTW the FBV3 works very well and is very nice to use with the Spider, but it's a bit on the expensive side.
  8. On Spider V you can download tone from the Tone Cloud, not from customtone. You can do it from Spider Remote on your Android or iOS device.Just look for the Tones icon at the bottom of the screen. On PC or Mac the feature is not available yet, but you can vote for it here: https://line6.ideasc...re/917678-23508
  9. I was about to ask the same question. I will probably try to update tonight or later this week. It's nice to see Line6 still releasing updates and improvements.
  10. I don`t know about the HC, but my V240 combo can be very very loud. I would suggest opening a ticket with Line6,
  11. I play on a V240 at home. So yes you can use the 120 at home no problem. You won't get to use the full volume, but you can tune it to sound good at low volume.
  12. I don't think you can change the reverb and compressor into something else.
  13. Click on the block you want to change in the chain by clicking directly on the icon of the device. ( If you don't click on the icon and click any where else in the block you will open or expend the control for this device/block.) Click directly on the word Type. to open the list of Type. Select Modulation and the list of modulation affects will open. I hope this helps...

    Android 7.0

Tonight out of curiousity I decided to retest my Samsung S6 with Spider Remote. I normally dont use my phone with the amp since under Android 6.01 the phone would freeze and was not usable at all. Under Android 7.0 I got 15 minutes of stability until I lost connection to amp. So it's not perfect but there is progress.
  15. Bluetooth would have been nice, however you can get a much longer cable if you want or need, atleast with Android. (No clue about iOS) I'm using a 15 feet cable currently with no issue. Just search for USB printer cable. The app is not perfect, but it makes tweaking the amp much faster. You can also do all of this from where you are playing. No need to reach for the amp controls.
  16. Did you try the updater to update the firmware? Does the updater sees the amp? If the updater does see the amp and the update works fine, the you know the cable, the amp and the USB port are ok. If you have installed.the ASIO driver the the problem might be in the setup of Pro Tool.
  17. On Android, select Details at the top. A flashing floopy disk icon will flash at the top. Select the floppy disk icon and you will have options to save.
  18. Keep in mind some devices don't work well with OTG even with the proper cable. This is why I use an old tablet. Bigger screen and more stable then my Samsung S6.
  19. Line6 should pin a FAQ thread at the top of this forum to cover this and other good pieces of information spread in many threads.
  20. Short of hacking something I don't think you will get it to work. XP has not been offered for 9 years and the support for it has been dead for 3 years now. You can try to download the some old drivers and see if you can get your computer to believe the Spider V is something else, but I don't think this is time well invested. As a workaround you could try to feed the headphone jack output into a line in on the sound card your computer if if you have such an input. The level might needs some serious tweaking, but it might work.
  21. I use a ugreen usb 2.0 otg adapter female to micro and a standard usb printer cable. The adapter I got online for less than 7$
  22. You have to use the Android or iOS app to control the amp. USB on PC or Mac is used for recording or updating the amp. Note: on Android you need a compatible device and an OTG adapter.
  23. Did you run a USB OTG checker? What USB OTG adapter are you using? Some devices do not play well with OTG USB. My Samsung S6 does not work well, but all my other devices work fine. I use my amp exactly as you describe I have my tablet next to me when I play.
  24. Did you try updating the firmware on the fbv3? I'm running the latest firmware and I see notes and flats just fine on the left of the screen on the fbv3. I remember reading on TGP that someone else had this problem and it was solved by loading the firmware.
  25. I agree with you, I really enjoy my Spider V and I can some really good tone out of it. It's also super flexible and allows me to create some unique stuff. The app could be improved to allow control of all the features including the drum riffs, tuner and metronome, but overall it's a lot of fun. I just added the FBV3 to my Spider V . The FBV3 is expensive but it seems well built and works very well with the V. My only grip is the control of the looper which would be easier to use if the function switch was at the bottom. It's not a big deal just a bit annoying.
