  1. A regular XLR cable would be 75 Ohms. You need an 110 Ohm cable because you're transferring digital data. L6 Link cable is 110 Ohms. Using it with the helix you can store speaker modes. The cable will NOT affect guitar vs. monitor sound that you get but, it will make setup easier. Cheers
  2. Thank You so much Line 6 ! Thank You Digital Igloo for your abundance of patience !
  3. What Peter said is correct. It's worth the time to learn how to use parametric eqs. https://www.presonus.com/learn/technical-articles/What-Is-a-Parametric-Eq
  4. And could be read/stored by both HX Edit and Helix
  5. I am going through the same thing I have the Standard. There seems to be an exaggerated top end with the VDI.

    Helix Native

Can't you already do this with the Helix?
  10. I was thinking the same thing. Perhaps if you're not going use the hardware Helix as an interface then maybe something like the Motu Zbox would help on the impedance side of things. Assuming your are happy with your A/D D/A converters.
  11. I got mine with 2.01 loaded and some things didn't work right until I did a Global Reset. That may help.

    Helix FAQ

I have Never experienced latency with this unit (pod HD500) using the unit alone. But I have experienced it when recording which is a different animal.

    Probably for recording
  14. I just played a large stage/show And after a great soundcheck … showtime No monitors …. at all. Sound man asleep at the wheel .. hey it's part of the gig!
  15. From what I've read, most poeple have had trouble updating while connected to multiple items. Did you try this with POD + computer only?
  16. If your running it as a main PA then, What you would do is add an EQ at the end of your chain (inside the POD) To compensate for the differences on your rig. And not affecting anything else. Cheers
  17. What I did was run the POD line level out and cut the bass 50/60 % on the JBLs That helped a lot. I know it's not the best solution but it might buy you some time Cheers
  18. I had a similar setup with the JBls May I ask, are you running the V-Drums at the same time as the POD?
  19. I'm with you on the "step back" in terms of options both hardware and software. But, sometimes you have to take a step back to move forward. That's how I see it. Do I want the options that were available on the older products? Yes The sounds I am using now (HD) trumps the older stuff in spades. That is way more important to me. I prefer Sound Quality over options. It is not a perfect world but if you have tools you can work with to get your sound then it's a done deal. Also thank you Digtal_Igloo for your abundance of patience. Some people on this thread don't hear what you're saying because it doesn't fit in with what they're thinking. Digital_Igloo
  20. Is anyone using a voltage regulator in their setup? It might be a voltage issue affecting the M20d.
  21. Check your output settings and guitar input pad.
