    Make sure you're not trying to find it under the fixed EQ block.  It doesn't show up there.  To add it, you need to go to a free block, choose the EQ type, then you will find the acoustic simulator.

  2. You may want to reset to factory defaults.  Hold Buttons C and D as you power up the unit.

  3. Sounds like something may have happened during the update if amps are missing.  I would try a factory reset:

    Could get an external reverb pedal and either put it after the PodGo, or stick it in the effects loop if you rarely use that.  That would get you the 4 blocks to use as you wish.  Sure, its an additional expense, but it would accomplish what you are going for.

So my 2 cents on this.  I've heard a lot of people reviewing modelers saying they just don't sound like an amp in the room.  I think this is going to vary by the person playing.  I've always been a person who never much cared if it was a genuine Marshall JCM800 or a model of one.  I know for a fact if you blindfolded me & played me both, I doubt I could tell the difference or even care.  I'm the same way with wine.  You could give me a $5 bottle of wine & a $50 bottle, and they would taste the same to me (and I would very much enjoy both bottles).  To me, playing through the Pod Go sounds like me playing, for better or for worse.  I can get good clean sounds & good dirty/heavy sounds, and I can through a bunch of cool effects on top.  For my purposes, I don't care if it is exactly like what its modeled on.  But I'm just playing in my house or the occasional gig at the local bar.  Not to say that anyone who can tell the difference is wrong in snubbing a modeler, to each his/her own.  That's the beauty of music.  Express yourself however you like.  In the end, I think if you're unsure, you just need to play through it & see if you like how it sounds & if it will do what you need it to do.  As far as the learning curve, there are some helpful videos out there on the Pod Go & a ton of stuff on the Helix.  Even though the Helix is a different product, a lot of stuff (such as theory, etc) translates to the Pod Go and I've found a lot of Helix videos very helpful.

I experienced it being too boomy when I first got it as well.  What I found was the placement was my issue.  I just had it sitting on the floor.  If I used the legs to tilt it back it was much better.  Now I set it on top of an old 4x12 cab that I'm not using anymore so it is higher off the ground.  Both of these made it sound much better.

So looking at all the different models in the owner's manual to match up Line 6's name for the model & the real world name, I noticed that there are some duplicates.  For example, the 70s Chorus is a BOSS CE-1 and if you look farther down, there is an Analog Chorus, which is also a BOSS CE-1.  They appear to be in 2 different sections of the Modulation Models because they are shaded different blue.  I see this different shading in different sections of the manual.  I looked but didn't see a description as to why this is, unless I missed it somewhere.  Can anyone shed some light on this for me?




  9. Right now  I'm looking at the Line 6 PowerCab 112 & the Headrush FRFR-108.  Just wondering what people here are running their Pod Go through & their thoughts.  I don't care about the cab modeling on the PowerCab, I would just use the Pod Go for the cab modeling.

  10. I've had mine about a week & mine has frozen up twice while booting.  I'm on 1.10.  Looks like this is a known issue:


    Known Issues in 1.10

    • On rare occasions, POD Go can fail to fully boot up. Just turn it off and back on again and all should be well
    • While updating the firmware, we haven't yet made a cute little "Updating..." graphic. Instead, the screen slowly fades to gray
    • The Tuner's Output parameter does not currently affect audio from the AMP OUT jack
    • On rare occasions, after swapping the locations of two stomp footswitches, pressing one switch may display parameters for the other
    • Pitch/Synth > Simple Pitch and Dual Pitch can exhibit subtle artifacts when the Delay parameter is set between 0.4 and 0.7
    • A minor pop can be heard when selecting IRs while audio is present
    • POD Go does not need a driver to work with your Mac; just plug in and go. However, it is currently limited to a sample rate of 48kHz. Line 6 is working carefully with Apple and will provide a driver that supports sample rates up to 96kHz
