  1. in the M series most effects were either mono or stereo effects and although i have not personally checked them all but i believe thats still the case
  2. 1. Yes, the controversy part was people THINKING that bring M series stuff would somehow have taken away from making new models... wasn't the case. 2. all the tones get migrated correctly so none of your current tones change... the "legacy" category appears along side stereo/mono/legacy when selecting effects... it take no more or less steps to get to them... just a slightly different path. I think its a great update, and the reverbs are pretty sweet!
  3. did you actually purchase a license? if you got a free license or was included... .might just be for the plugin version.... or if you picked up a used/second hand toneport or pod studio... it may not have qualified for a pod farm 2 license.... try pod farm 1 the product is not garbage.... doesnt sound like you ever used it. license issues, do not define a product.
  4. well yeah... lots of things WOULD be good... i was telling you what it can do.... it would be good if the footswitches gave my feet mini massages as well... but it cant do that.... for things you think WOULD be good... https://line6.ideascale.com/
  5. might be wishful thinking... just with the LT not having a mic input.. they might think thats a limited use... no reason it couldn't work, but i know they are trying hard to unify the products..... so they dont have a bunch of different scenarios like they did with the pod hd stuff. i don't know anything either way.... just suggesting a possible reason i don't think it will come quickly.
  6. far from underwhelmed... sometimes i get option paralysis.... overwhelmed with too many choices and options... just a flip side of the coin. I can easily get something useful out of everything available, but would be easier if it just showed my favorites. :)
  7. just a addon note... native and the new HX edit i believe are sharing code now... possibly even the point of updating from the previous Helix editor... so i think you'd basically get a tuner in both if it happens at all....
  8. if you want to go back to the last saved point, its easy enough to just go back and forth, out of and back into the preset.... only helps if you're doing the saves though....
  9. be cool if there was a modular wireless add on port... sort of like a USB drive size thing that people can by a transmitter and receiver and easily integrate. and at multiple levels... meaning a cheap and cheesy G10 level when that does the trick then onwards with the likes of the G70 etc just build in the receiver parts that are common to all and the magic parts can be on the modules. (alot of assumptions.... clearly... but an idea none the less.)
  10. I don't think the wait will be much longer.... ;)
  11. I had similar issues a few times, throughout some of the various updates. the quick fix for me was simply fire up a nearby laptop and get it done. be sure you have the latest updater as well... the updater versions can be very sensitive to the OSX version.
  12. looper.... lots of looper.... multiple stereo loops.... ability to store them and keep them and have them be portable etc and if its possible, keep refining the UI... truly Helix's strong point! not saying it needs anything... but whatever else you add from the wishlist risks complicating it! i'd also avoid gimmicks... not everything needs a touch screen just because you can. :D (not that it couldnt make sense in some contexts.)
  13. some will call it controversial.... and i will call them whiners. :D quite looking forward to this one.
  14. Nope, it seems fine for me. i have the rack and a separate pitch black rack tuner and can easily compare. both work, acceptably to me.
  15. only thing i might suggest is to disconnect EVERYTHING except for the power... including any guitar variax usb speakers midi etc etc etc EVERYTHING..... then try power on while holding direction pad left. if that doesnt fix it.... and you still want to try again... remove the plug overnight to allow any static charge etc in the unit to bleed off.... beyond that, you may need service.
  16. wow... only the actual cable and ports are universal.... all software interfaces need tweaked for the host operating system.... just added some reality to your post.... plenty of USB devices require driver updates to work... please continue working on your issues with the support team.... i understand you're not happy with things as they are, but that doesnt mean we get to make up facts about how USB works.
  17. how did you hook it up? and did you install workbench/drivers first?
  18. its a standard ethernet cable like you would use on your computer.... with protective neutrik ends installed.
  19. its a standard ethernet cable like you would use on your computer.... with protective neutrik ends installed.
  20. it's just a controller... the answer would be in the manual for the device you are using the FBVMKII with.
  21. if you'd review the thread here, it clearly asks that you contact line6 support. they have numerous potential solutions for this including physically fixing the device if it needs it... they wont likely reply here... you need to initiate contact. but the answer is there.
  22. you cant record midi with it... but you should be able to record audio and playback midi.... trick is you have to use the outputs on the UX1 also... so plug speakers or headphones into it. at least i suspect that may be your issue.... if trying to play through another soundcard or built in speakers... that doesnt work.
  23. you likely just need to select an older operating system from the pull down.... the program wont come up if you select a newer operating system that the program was never designed for. but here is the link: http://line6.com/software/readeula.html?rid=5162
