Yes, you can have multiple instances of the same Send block. Only one instance of each Return block, though.

Should be pretty straightforward. Just turn the MIDI clock send on on the Helix and MIDI clock receive on on the H9. MIDI clock is sent out on all channels, so it should just work as soon as you have the two connected.

If you have phantom power being sent to the XLR outs, yes, they can be noisy. Otherwise, they should be fine.

Commercially available IRs are almost always normalized to line level. The signal path through the Helix is more like instrument level, so the -18dB is set as the default level because that would make the signal through the IR block close to unity gain. Of course, you may find you need to tweak it either way for any given IR... But that's the reason.

I'm not exactly sure what you're asking... But it sounds like you're wanting to use one of these expression pedals to control wah. The auto-engage feature was added with the 2.10 update, so you actually don't need to assign the wah to a footswitch to turn the block on and off. You can select EXP1, 2 or 3 for Bypass Assign and then assign that same EXP as a controller for the wah, and it will turn on once you move the pedal past a certain point (whatever percentage you select).

You could use a pair of the 1/4" sends (or just one if you're running in mono) for your monitor output rather than the 1/4" out, and just insert the Send block in your chain right before the output block. This way you can set independent levels for the output block and the send for each snapshot if you want.

There never was a Preset Mode setting of "8 stomps". In order to eight (or 10) stomp switches, you need to actually be in Stomp Mode. Just hit the Mode footswitch while in Preset Mode, and you'll go into Stomp Mode.

Yeah, double-tapping is probably the prescribed method. Funny, though, on my iPhone if I hold for three seconds that same window pops up. Perhaps it's related to the 3D Touch/Long Press features that came out with the iPhone 6s.

If you hit the bank up or down switches, you can scroll through the banks, and the function of FS5-FS8 will temporarily change back to preset select switches, so you can select a new preset. If you want to select a preset from the bank you're currently in, you'd only have to hit the bank up or down switch once. The functionality makes more sense once you've tried it. It's not as confusing as it sounds.

I was only responding to the title of the post, which is a yes or no question. :D

BTW, MIDI clock was added by firmware update in other Line 6 products - the M13 and the HD500 for sure. Possibly the X3 Live, although, I don't remember for sure about that one.

I think you're confusing things. There are really two basic modes for the Helix out of the gate - Stomp and Preset - and you can toggle between them by using the Mode switch. In Preset Mode, you have a bunch of choices to what's displayed by using the Preset Mode Switches setting under Global Settings > Footswitches > Knob 2. But 8 Stomps isn't one of the choices there (it would be redundant since having 8 stomps in Preset Mode would kind of defeat the purpose of having Preset Mode). In Stomp Mode, you do have the choice of using 8 or 10 stomp switches, and that's another setting under Global Settings > Footswitches > Knob 3.
 
I said there are two basic modes, but there is also Snapshot Mode, and to get into that you have to hit the bank up and down switches simultaneously. So it's a little hard to get into it accidentally, but you may have, I suppose. If you have the Preset Mode Switches setting set to anything other than "8 Snapshots", and you're seeing 8 snapshots, you're actually in Snapshot Mode. To get out of it, hit the bank up and down switches simultaneously (just tap them once, don't hold them down).

Global Settings > Displays > Knob 2 (Tap Tempo LED).

The editor itself is just called "Helix". Leave the first pulldown blank, select Helix in the second one, and select your OS in the third, and it will come up.

There will be a new update, 2.10, coming any day now... So there's that...
 
As far as the frequency of the updates, that is what it is. They have been steadily coming, and they will continue. There are some big plans in the future.
 
As far as Yamaha and Line 6, Yamaha really doesn't get involved with the day to day operations of Line 6, or really much of anything, for that matter. DI has said that Yamaha let them borrow one of their engineers for some of the final parts of Helix' development, but it's not like Yamaha is telling Line 6 how to run the business. Yes, they do own them, but Yamaha has been pretty much hands-off with it subsidiaries in the past, and I don't see any indication that's changing, really.
 
Rest assured there is a lot going on behind the scenes. I know some of it, but of course am bound by an NDA to disclose what I do know. I saw this picture the other day, and I think it applies here. What the public sees as the release is just the tip of the iceberg... There's a lot of hard work being done behind the scenes, and it will be evident as to why in the future.
 

Make sure you have the level parameter assigned to a snapshot controller. On the Helix itself, push and turn the knob under the parameter, and brackets will appear. In the editor, you have to go to the Controller Assign tab and select "snapshot controller" from the pulldown menu. The big thing to remember is that you need to see those brackets.

It's the button underneath the "Amp" and "FX" switches, to the right of the volume/reverb knob. It has two curved arrows on it.

It's the volume pedal block. It really only comes into play if you're using one of the FBV pedals with the AMPLIFi, which in that case, you could use the pedal as a volume pedal.

For the record, you can actually sync the slow and fast speeds for the rotary effects to the patch BPM and have them tied to the tempo you tap in. Just hit the knob under the slow or fast speed parameter to change that value to a note value. Or in the editor, just click the button to turn tempo sync on on the effect's home screen.

The face of the Helix is made from extruded aluminum, so no, a magnetic label wouldn't work... But why would you need labels, anyway? It has scribble strips, which are a million times better than labels.

You answered your own question. Using snapshots is the way to do this sort of thing. There's no way to assign the loops to the same footswitch and scroll through them like you're talking about.

If you have the MIDI PC Send/Receive parameter set to on (which I believe the default is after you do a Global Reset), the Helix will send out the PC message associated with the preset you're going to whenever you bring it up.

It's still there... You're looking at the wrong setting. You're actually looking at the "Preset Mode Switches" setting (under knob 2). The setting for how the footswitches are set up in Stomp Mode is under knob 3 - "Stomp Mode Switches".

The bug is in the editor. The Mix parameter isn't showing up in the editor when you select the mono version of the Vintage Delay model. It actually exists on the Helix itself. And, yes, the mix parameter controls the wet/dry mix.
