I put 2 songs in my music website: "Break Through This Barrier" is on top, and "The Game of Life" is the next one down. One song uses PodXT guitar amp models. The other song has this for guitar: guitar>DOD 555 distortion pedal>Roland Keyboard Cube 60 amp (with reverb). Can you tell which is which? Please tell me how you like these songs and how they can be improved. Here is the link:

I would think the X3Live will sound very similar to the PodXTLive, though I'm still partial to the PodXT sound myself (even if others think it is getting obsolete). If you can, try them all and see what you like best.

Yes, I recognize your screen name. Since you were nice enough to listen & comment on my recent thread, I decided to return the favor. Some people act like the PodXT is obsolete or getting there, but I still like it a lot. I still think the PodXT is the best sounding (overall) amp modeler/effect unit for less than ~$900. There is some nice sounding software out there, but it typically won't work with my Cubase LE4 or Mac OSX 10.6.8 or Tascam US-144 interface. I think your song is pleasant, I like it. :)

This month's amp model mystery was a bit tricky. On "House of the Leader 2", there is no guitar at all until the lead guitar at 1:41 (Roland COSM amp model). I feel I got a massive sound with the electric bass: electric bass with Line 6 Bass Pod(non-XT) on one track, and clean bass with chorus on anther track (both recorded simultaneously).
"The Mystery of Life" has all PodXT amp model guitars. -
