  1. No don't do that!!! email me or PM me here. I'll need your transaction number.
  2. Can anyone tell me how to access the Global EQ from the App? I can't find it anywhere.
  3. I have a laptop (Win 7) that's done that from the very start from v1.01. My main DAW however shows the text clear. Never could figure out why it was like that on my laptop though.
  4. Just curious, what cab are you running in the Helix??
  5. Hmmm, What's your input set too? Guitar? Multi? and mess with the ohm input setting too. I think I leave mine on Auto.
  6. I'd try turning the input pad ON. Almost sounds like digital clipping. You may be overdriving the input.

  8. This issue has been resolved via email. His Helix needed to be updated. He was on firmware 1.12.
  9. Just for fun!! Here is my Mick Jones Foreigner patch. It uses a Custom IR I created from Mick's isolated guitar track for this song. https://soundcloud.com/glenndelaune/mick-jones-foregner-guitar-sound If you want to try it out be my guest. Here is the download link. https://www.glenndelaune.com/Patches/GD-FOREIGNER-HELIX-PATCH.zip Thank you guys so much for your continued support. Enjoy . . . :-)
  10. Even though all of the guitars I am using lately are passive, I am using the input pad. I find I am able to drive the amps distortion farther without it sounding "unnatural". To my ears it gives me a more 'Creamy" "Smoothed out" overdrive sound. Kind of like compression but without the squash and added noise!! If that's makes any sense.
  11. Yes absolutely you can use my Custom IR's on other patches. I've done that with great results. Thank you guys.
  12. Well, I thought I could use this thread to post all of the video's I've done for my Custom Artists Patches Volume II so there would be one place for all of them. Thanks G-man for starting this thread. I'll start with the latest first and then go on down from there. There's alot of 'em. Guys I also want to take this opportunity to thank you all so much for your support throughout the years going back to the old POD 2.0, then the XT-Live, then X3-Live, then POD HD, then HDX series and so on and so on. So, here we are now with the Helix. You really can create ANY sound you have in your head with the Helix. So here we go: (as the OP stated these are from my upcoming Line 6 Helix Custom Artists Patches Volume II due out later this month). Steve Stevens Custom Artist Patch Joe Walsh & Don Felder Custom Artists Patches Randy Rhoads Custom Artist Patch Eddie Van Halen Custom Artist Patch (Pound Cake Era) Frank Marino (& Mahogany Rush) Custom Artist Patch Billy Gibbons Custom Artist Patch Alex Lifeson (RUSH) Custom Artist Patch Angus Young (AC-DC) Custom Artist Patch Andy Timmons Custom Artist Patch Tom Scholz (Boston) :
  13. First off Thank you so much for your support. I sent you a private message with my contact information. We'll get it sorted out for sure. Thank you again Sir.
  14. Check this out. This is an excerpt from my latest video. This portion demonstrates my Stereo Spread method. Jump to 3:13 for the stereo spread part.
  15. Hi Hamish, Try plugging your USB into the Rear of your computer and Not using a "Hub" or front USB connection, which is actually a Hub. Mine did the same thing once when upgrading to V2.0.
  16. I think the answer is Yes. With an update Line 6 always addresses "bugs" that were in a previous firmware that have been reported. Just recently with V2.0 the Eb tuning trick used to drop your guitar down to Eb didn't work so good. It worked Very good before the update. Line 6 has addressed that issue and in the new V2.1 update the Pitch Algorithms for the Pitch effects have been reverted back to V1.12 settings. So they are listening. Best thing to do if you think you've found something odd is to post it here so other people can check it our for you.
  17. I'd bet the ones you lost can be found in this thread: http://line6.com/support/topic/17076-links-for-free-impulse-responses-ir-here/
  18. It can't hurt to try it again. Here are the detailed instructions. Pay particular attention to items 2, 3 & 7. IMPORTANT! YOU *MUST* FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS TO INSTALL 2.0! 1. Shut down all Line 6 software as well as any software that streams audio, including, but not limited to: iTunes, Spotify, DAWs, etc. 2. Use your CURRENT EXISTING Helix application to back up all of your presets and IRs (if you want to keep them). If you’re running Helix FW 1.12, your current Helix application version should be 1.12. NOTE: You may want to back up individual Setlists so you can restore them to empty setlists without affecting the new 2.0 factory presets. 3. Quit the CURRENT EXISTING Helix editor application and download and install the NEW Helix editor application (2.00), available here: http://line6.com/software/ This also installs the newest version of Line 6 Updater (1.09). 4. If you’re using Helix Rack with Helix Control, turn off Helix Control. 5. Using the latest Line 6 Updater (1.09), update Helix/Helix Rack to the newest firmware (2.00). At the end of the update process, Helix/Helix Rack will reboot automatically and begin rebuilding presets. Wait for this process to complete. 6. If you’re using Helix Control with Helix Rack, connect and power on Helix Control. The inspector will ask if you want to update its firmware. Press Knob 6 (OK). Wait for the update to finish. 7. Turn off Helix/Helix Rack. HELIX FLOOR: While holding footswitches 9 and 10 (middle two switches on the bottom row), turn on Helix. HELIX RACK: While holding knobs 5 and 6 below the screen, turn on Helix Rack. DO NOT LET THE SWITCHES GO UNTIL YOU SEE THE MESSAGE“Will reset Globals and restore stock Presets, Setlists and IRs…†to appear and then let go of the switches. YOU MUST RESET GLOBALS AND RESTORE PRESETS, OTHERWISE HELIX 2.0 WILL NOT WORK PROPERLY.
  19. Yes Tom my previous patches are all compatible with Version 2 after ding the necessary updates to the Helix.
  20. You probably just need to update your Helix Editor on your computer. You may or may not need to do this final step. As outlined by Line6 on the instructions for the update, read this again carefully please.
  21. You're welcome. I've been sending that same message to lots of folks the last few days. Happy to report all it was is that the Helix editor needed to be updated. The Firmware update goes so deep that the current editor just doesn't have the same functions that the new one does. It's amazing how much stuff Line 6 added here.
  22. According to this, The Helix Editor 2.0 should be the very first thing you download and install before you even update the firmware because you need the latest updater to install the new firmware. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 1. 23. Yes I had one other person tell me the same thing.
  24. Do you mind sharing your settings for the simple pith shifter effect?? I think I tried that as well with no luck. Ive always used the Pitch Whammy at -1 and -1, mix 100%. That doesn't work for me since the V2 upgrade.
