  1. Thank you so much. Yes I sent that out to you today. I say two weeks but usually only about 7 working days!! to get to UK. Good point Big R, yes my screen protector is made of Lexan. It's Not Plastic!! (Google It) The only adhesive is around the 1/8in. edge of the screen protector and that sticks to the metal part. It's cut perfectly to fit around the screen itself and not touching the screen but adhering to the case not the screen. You can see all this in my demo video. May I take this opportunity to say . . First . . Thanks to all of the Line 6 community for all of their continued support throught the past years.. I've been a member here on this forum for many, many years. Those of you who know me and have been here for a long time can attest to that. I have actually built very nice relationships with several of you guys and I enjoy talking to you on a regular basis. The screen protector thing for the Helix was just an idea I had because when I got my Helix, I noticed the screen was dented. It didn't bother me too much and like I say in my video, you really couldn't see it when the Helix was powered up. I needed some form or protection so I came up with this screen protector. I make them each by hand myself. I apply the the front flat black 3M tape for the outer edge and then I apply the backing 3M Two way adhesive to the edge of the piece, all the while trying not to remove the front and the back protective film. It's a pretty tedious process but I love working with my hands. Sure, you guys can find different screen protectors for your Helix, and I encourage you to. YES, try to find alternative screen protectors. There are many, many out there. I just made mine like I thought it should be made and I am willing to make more for any of you who want to have the same protection I have. . . .Anyway . . . Thank you again for all of your support and I must say . . Line 6 Helix!! What an incredible tool for the modern working guitarist!! You guys hit it out of the park with this one!!
  2. Thank you very much. It will go out tomorrow. I sent you a confirmation email.
  3. I didn't see the need for the scribble strips to be protected. Those pieces are so small but that screen is huge so I thought some form of protection is needed there.
  4. Screen Protectors are ready. Thank you so much for all of your support guys!
  5. My Custom Screen Protectors for the Helix will be ready next week. Here's a sneak peek! Here are a few screen grabs from my demo video. Had to get enough in stock before I released the video. They came out very nice.
  6. That depends on what's in the patch. if it's just say, Amp, Cab, delay verb then yes it's almost instantanious. But fill up both Patchs 1, 1B, 2 & 2B. That's where the lag get's around at least 250ms.
  7. An editor would be nice but . . if you have a patch librarian (which we already have) and the unit itself it so user friendly, after a few months of using the Helix and editing on the unit itself, a software editor would be . . . . . .???? Another thing to take you away from practicing and creating and playing and having fun and getting better at playing your instrument. Right?? what are your thoughts??
  8. If any of the outputs are set to "Instrument" instead of "Line" then you'll get a volume drop when you switch to those outputs.
  9. Most big rig systems are mono so it's best to make sure your patches sound good in with a mono feed to FOH. If you use any stereo FX like Chorus, etc. when you engage these stereo FX running into a mono PA you will get a loss in volume and the sound will just seem to dissappear.
  10. Yeah there is no Micro-Pitch setting on the whammy in the Helix. I use a mono chorus to achieve this effect, Set the depth around 75%, set the Rate to Zero, Mix to50% and use the level to dial in how much of the effect you want to be heard.
  11. Mine sounds incredible through the front of this thing set on a clean channel.
  12. It's very easy. First go to the first amp and press the top right button rigth over the PRESET Knob, Press Footswitch assign, turn the Footswitch knob to the pedal you want to assign it to. Then go the the other amp, do the same thing. Then use the Bypass button over the joystick and Bypass one of the amps.
  13. Ah Yes that's it. Forgot about the pre/post thing. Thank you :)
  14. I noticed when I engage the looper and record a loop and let it play, then when I add FX to play on top of it (within the same patch) the FX are added to the recorded loop. I want to be able to, for example, play and record a loop using my Variax on an acoustic model and let that loop play and then play over the top of that loop with let's say a Les Paul model that I manually change with some delay and chorus that are already assigned to footswitches.
  15. yeah I was wondering about the screws too so here is the way I mounted mine. I cut two pieces of 1/4in. thick PVC sheeting material. One piece was 3 x 19in. This was for the bottom side where the footswitches are, the other piece was 3 x 15in. and that was for the bottom back part just under the I/O/s and connections. I used Double stick asdesive to adhere the pieces to the bottom of Helix and I attached Very strong Velcro to that and attached that to tht ebottom of my case. Worked very well!! I use the PDC 4100-G pedal case from Rondo Music. I've had it for yaers and it's very road worthy.
  16. Very easy to do. Just go to the delay settings at the bottom of the screen, press and Hold the Time knob and you will enter the controller assign function. From there just set your Min & Max values and assign the controller switch to the swtich you want. You'll have to do this for both delays since you're using two of them.
  17. In the Gobal settings under "Footswitches", Stomp Mode Switches When set to "10 switches," FS1 (BANK ) and FS7 (BANK ) are re-purposed as additional Stomp switches. This is only for Stomp footswitch mode; while in Preset or Looper footswitch modes, BANK and BANK are retained. Guys Thank you all so much for the kind words and show of support. Big shout out to Line6 for making an incredible product!!
  18. Oh yes well I do undterstand that and I am using that alot. I guess I didn't know it was called X/Y. Too bad one of the controller parameters was labeled "AMP" and that controller could switch between amps. Thanks again for the help.
  19. I'm still trying to understand the X-Y thing. Can you explain to me how i would do the X-Y changing of two amps without actually having two amp blocks loaded? Thanks for your help.
  20. I'm sorry, I meant two splits in the same path. Like two splits in Path 2. Also, is there a way to make the amp change amps? For example, Can I have let's say the Brit 2204 change into the Jazz Rivet and assign that to a foot switch? So that way I wouldn't have to use two amp blocks taking up space and DSP.
  21. Can a Pathway have more that one splt?? I'd like to use a paralell path to have two sections. One would be for effects before an amp so it would merge right before the amp and the other split & merge would go after the amp.
  22. Yeah the LA Studio is the most "trasparent" one so I use that very lightly. The Deluxe has lots of parameters but I find it squashes my tone too much. Placement is very important too. Just like in a real pedal board, I usually go Volume then Compressor then Wah (that can be reversed if you like) then distortion, overdrives then AMP and the after that any time based FX.
  23. Well, once I wrapped by brain around the Helix, and after having a few questions answered by "Digital Igloo" and "Phil_M" I can't think of anything that needs to be changed. I think it sounds great. I'm wondering about the AC-30 models though. I'm not hearing that "High-End" "Glassy" sound those amps are famous for. My favorite amps are the "Brit 2204" and the 'German Ubersonic". The "Jazz Rivet" is great for clean tones. Not loving the reverbs too much though. I don't use much Reveb but the "Chamber" seems to be the best sounding one to me. In the POD HD's the "Hall" sounded best to me. Anyway . . Loving the Helix so far. I've been tweaking patches for hours upon hours now and I'm really making sone headway. I'll be demoing some of my sounds very soon. Probably by the end of next week. Thank you Line 6 for an incredible tool for me to use in my music creation!!
