  1. Just curious, is there a reason why you're using a DI in front of the Voicelive GTX and then after it into the Mackie? I've always just plugged my acoustic straight into my GTX and then out into either my mixer or into the L2t... Thanks!
  2. I have an endorsement deal... I endorse a check over and they give me product. LOL :) :) :) :D :D :D
  3. I just sent Line 6 a short video of my rattle/buzz. It's uploading to YouTube and can be seen here: http://youtu.be/R9zxsbDBHWU after it finishes processing... The video doesn't really do "justice" to the amount of buzz/rattle given that's it's a cellphone video...

  5. Line 6 responded to my Support Tickets (well - for only 1 of the 2 I submitted, since I have two L2t's with the rattle). They asked me for a recording, so I'm going to whip out my video recorder to demonstrate the rattle...
  6. I agree Velok - and up to now, there are NO YouTube videos that talk about a rattle in the Stagesource speakers (at least when I just searched YouTube for: Line 6 stagesource rattle). All that come up are reviews and demos (of which NONE of them talk about a rattle). YouTube videos do affect sales - both positively and negatively. Tons of positive product reviews and demos drive sales or inspire "GAS" - I know I've been afflicted by that particular "disease" after watching some videos. And a lot of negative reviews have swayed me from parting with my hard earned money. While my initial intent is not "shame", it seems that the only time companies seem to listen and/or take action is when it affects their bottom line. We're not talking about $300 - $500 powered speakers (although even at that price, it's still hard earned to me) - we're talking about speakers that are 2x - 3x more expensive. Much like I would expect a high end/high dollar vehicle (Mercedes, BMW, Lexus, Cadillac, etc) to work relatively problem free after turning the key, I want the high end sound equipment that I paid for with my hard earned sweat to work without issue. But maybe I'm asking too much....
  7. Hmmm. Was thinking the other day . . . what if I made a video of the rattle and posted it on YouTube... What if others did the same? Would it get any traction? If it did, would that encourage Line 6 (and/or Yamaha) to give the issue a little more priority? Not everyone researching these speakers checks the Line 6 forum, but a lot will sure do a YouTube search... Seems these days that the only way to get a company to take any action is to have negative press - which is disconcerting in itself...
  8. You are right about the shipping, but even at $80-100, (and having only to pay 1/3 to 1/4 of the price with the payment plan) I wouldn't mind trying something out for 30/45 days and only pay $80-$100) rent - especially if the odds are good that I would probably keep it. I was just really wanting to comment on the "try it free" trial that is being "recommended" so much and share my experience. I wish it were a better deal...
  9. I signed up for the "try it for free" trial when Line 6 sent me an email about it. When I was finally contacted by my local dealer, this is what my experience entailed: This "try it for free" trial is really not a try it for free - you still have to use your credit card to put down a deposit - which is the amount of the speaker itself. Then you only get one day to try it out. And then return it. With the multitude of other retailers - Guitar Center, Zzounds.com, Sweetwater.com, AmericanMusicalSupply.com, etc - having a 30 - 45 day satisfaction / return policy, this "try it for free" trial from Line 6 really isn't "all that". I could order from zzounds or american musical supply on their "payment plans" where they split the payment into 3 or 4 installments and shell out less money than the Line 6 "try it for free" program. At least that's my experience. Maybe others have had a different experience... Tom
  10. That would be useful info - the serial number range for the known affected units - and at what point the issue was (if it has) been corrected. What about it Line 6?
  11. BucF16, No dog in this hunt, but from the M20d FAQ... Q: Which SD cards are compatible with the StageScape M20d? A: Any class 10 SD card will work with the StageScape M20d. Only class 10 SD cards are supported. SDXC cards are supported, as long as they are class 10. We do not recommend using SD cards larger than 32 gigs. http://line6.com/support/page/kb/_/live-sound/stagescape-m20d-mixer/stagescape-m20d-faq-r113?st=0#comment_0 Hope this helps... Tom
  12. Also well said, Mav... We pay good hard earned money for a quality product - and should expect the quality. There's an old saying: "Great Product, Great Service, Low Price - choose two, because you can't have all three". When we choose Line 6, we are definitely choosing the first two: Great Product, Great Service - and forego the low price and pay the premium... I don't think it's too much to ask for a buzz/rattle free product...
  13. I'm quite surprised that Line 6 even let's these pass the QC line. I just picked up a 2nd L2t - and this one definitely has a buzz/rattle - but only on notes lower than a G on the Low E string of my bass... First one, luckily, does not have a rattle or buzz...
  14. What did you decide on? I have a couple of EV ZLX-12P units and have thought about using them with the Line 6 Stagesource wondering if they'll play "nice"...
  15. I would say stop using the app to get your tone. Choose one (like you would have to if you had a Spider) and adjust to taste... Just a thought...
  16. Hey Tim, If you have a PODHD500, PM me you email address and I'll send a couple over for you to try . . . Tom
  17. I've plugged my acoustic bass into my L2t - sounded great. Because it goes down to 40hz, it sounds much better than my EV ZLX12P - the EV only goes down to 65hz, so that's a half octave gained...
