Zoom/Loom only see the inputs of your Helix. Reapers output isn't one of them, it's routed straight to the output section of the Helix. On a Mac, I'd possibly use Soundflower (a virtual audio cable) to route everything into Zoom/Loom, no idea what to do on a Windows machine. Most people doing such things more often use interfaces with a socalled loopback function, but the Helix doesn't have anything like that. There might be some nifty routing options via some of the Helix' USB "streams" typically used for re-amping, but I can't check myself as I don't have a Helix anymore (just an HX Stomp).

Well... err..., yeah, it's a bit tough to say so, but even as someone who was always playing the "enough amps already, use what's there, who cares about authentic XYZ?" advocate, I have to admit that the amps added in the 3.7 update are just fantastic and pretty much all I'm using now (in case the HX Stomp is my amp platform, which it isn't all the time). Especially the 2203 and Voltage amps are great and pretty much the best dirt pedal platform I can imagine. Oh yes, I would've gotten along just fine without them, and in case I had the choice between those and, say, a global block functionality being added, I'd take the latter in a heartbeat - but still, I can't deny having huge fun with those new amp additions. In a nutshell, I'm a bit split-minded. In general, I rather take new functionality and utilitarian improvements over more sounds any day, though.

Sorry to possibly come across as a smartass or so, but where's the awsomeness in these requests? People are asking for separate power amp models pretty much since day one and as far as new amp models are concerned, I'm sure each and every amp on earth has been asked for already. Sure, valid requests (especially the poweramp one, as it'd add some new core functionality), yet IMO far from qualifying as "awsome".

If only it was like that - in that case you could've saved some installers locally (which is what I did). But they just won't install anymore anyway. Anything with 32bit traces is gone since Catalina already, one of the next macOS updates (maybe this year already) will have no Rosetta support anymore, so anything with Intel traces will not work anymore, either.

What's the big knob for you? The volume one or the joystick?

Man, I'm telling you... first I learned to live with macOS. Then I learned to almost love it. And then I just learned to hate Apple. Add to this that I'm also using quite some things from Native Instruments, hardware included. There's no worse combination. It's either Apple killing compatibility or NI not delivering updates anymore. As a result, heaps of plugins aren't working anymore (all Battery versions <v4, Pro 53, Intakt, older Kontakt versions, B4, FM7, Bandstand, Kore, now also Absynth, etc.), and as if that wasn't bad enough already, my Maschine MkI, Kore Kontrol and Rig Kontrol 2 are all rendered doorstops. NI: "It'a all Apple's fault!" (when it clearly is not), Apple: "It's all NI's fault!" (when it clearly is not). Blaargh!

Unfortunately, Apple's pace at doing so is unrivalled. Planned obsolescense galore.

As I'm on a "vintage" Mac (Mac Pro from 2010) running Mojave, I can't exactly tell, but my best bet would be that there's some Intel "traces" in Line 6's software, requiring Rosetta to run in the background - which, AFAIK, Apple will throw out at one point in time (which will be when they happen to think developers had enough time to adjust). And that point will happen rather sooner than later because Apple doesn't give the slightest damn about their customers.

Correct. Don't look for the correct plug for too long, better get an adapter cable (or two, just in case). That way you should be able to use pretty much any halfway decent power supply.

No (and this is very important), the Stomp needs a 2.5mm plug. Any standard plugs won't fit (which is really, really stupid, btw.).

Sure. And it seems to work as in the manual. No idea why it wouldn't work for jeremiahzellers, though. Also no idea why Digital Igloo wrote something different in the release notes, but "not some global reverb or delay" is pretty unclear anyway (what's up with the "global" thing?). As said, can't check anything by myself.

No, before you tell someone they're misunderstanding things, you should rather check some facts before, because in this case, very clearly you are the one to misunderstand the function (or at least the way how it is intended to work). This is straight from the manual: "If you’re willing to sacrifice one of Helix’s two DSPs, you can achieve true preset spillover, complete with delay and reverb trails." Whether this works as supposed is another thing, but at least it is supposed to work.

This is happening automatically once you activate spillover, so he doesn't have to actively sacrifice that very DSP. And as he seems to have activated spillover, I don't see how he could misunderstand anything.

Pretty sure it doesn't come with a wrench, so you'll have to get one. I adjusted my EXP as well (and carefully lubricated it with a little bit of the good old WD40), but I don't remember which size the wrench was (I have a whole lot of them hanging around) and can't check, either, as I'm just owning an HX Stomp these days.

That's true. Not a biggie in case you just use a volume block and leave it at unitiy gain. Needs pretty much no CPU, doesn't affect the sound. Should still be possible to get dual mono signals from the Helix without adding a block.

Fwiw, back when I was using a Helix Floor (I downgraded to an HX Stomp), I was always inserting a mono effect as the last thing in the signal chain, simply because I wanted to be able to also use stereo FX mixed to mono (such as ping pong delays that don't exist in mono), because my live business is all strictly mono. There should be an output setting allowing you to run dual mono without having to waste a block (which I simply can't afford on any of my HX Stomp patches).

I'm not talking about BT or Wifi in existing devices. A USB cable does the job just fine. NUX has done that already, they released mobile editors for their Amp Academy which also only supports USB. Works a treat. Could be every bit as possible with the HX family devices.

If I wanted to build a plugin-compatible rig, I'd either get a Macbook Air (or maybe a Mac Mini) and possibly think of something to remote controling it, so it never gets exposed on stage. The reason for using a Mac being that right now there's no more efficient computers around. Would however defenitely come with quite some additional costs, as you needed the software, a decent audio interface, a rack of some sorts and a controlling unit sitting on the floor. But others than that, it's very doable. And it'd be an incredible flexible setup, both soundwise but also from a utilitarian POV.

While the idea is great, it certainly won't happen with a device such as a Stomp. All programming issues aside (and these will already be enough, but still...): How are you going to manage a plugin with hundreds of parameters on that screen with 3 encoders only?

Yeah, quite unfortunately Firefox ocassionally tries to open files that it should rather download (even if you told it to at least ask before doing anything). Usually rightclick "save target as" helps, but sometimes that's not available.
