  1. Hello again

This will probably come back to bite me  in my shorts. But here it goes. I am yet to see any Demo's about using this amp with a wireless.

Now I did try it with an old AKG analog signal. Although it did receive. It sounded horrible not to mention it had no range .Probably needed to purchase a relay and problem solved. I also use my sonic port due to the fact that my amplify app is unreliable for live application.  I can go directly into mobile POD just in case which is more often than not. And by the way. When accessing amplify app the sonic port or amp one will not work.At all no sound dead in water. Not even a rude squeal. So that's another red herring that needs to be addressed. So I do feel the app is unreliable. Maybe some tweaking and bug chasing the app could be upgraded to avoid these pit falls.

If it is possible. I surely would appreciate you guys covering the bases a lot more in these regards.Such as Demoing wireless applications digital of course.I really feel very confined to a cable lead especially because I am a move around guy. Find myself unhappy not being able to interact with members of Band and for always  fearing I am going to trip over my cable that is plugged into my sonic port that is just resting on my amp with Duct tape holding the chords in place as so I don't actually pull them out by accident. That makes me feel really foolish in a very amateurish way! So in conclusion! . My assessment of this amp is. Does not allow for any user upgrades such as speaker . replacing or upgrading. Seems that you guys are trying to hold all the cards so you will get all of the coin. Probably wrong. Please forgive.  if wrong. Just sayin! No external jack for cab. Does not play well with others meaning sonic port and amplify app simultaneously. Now I have been told that the Line 6 port will work with most apps. Sorry on my amp it does not I either have to unplug from amp to let bluetooth totally take control. Or it's mobile POD. It's either one or the other. Thanks as always!

    Kindest regards,

    Kemster

  2. Greetings all,

I purchased an Amplify 150 about 5-6 mo ago.

To use with my iPad mini primarily for live applications. Replacing a very large

rack system Marshall mono bloc powered with all bells and whistles.. Not going into alot of detail I will just say

that my herniated/bulging discs on 3 of my lumbars with sciatica  thanks me very much. Now since using

my Amplify I feel qualified to make an honest assessment. I enjoyed the luxury of sporting a

full stack range due to 2 cabs 4X12's Celestian 25 greenbacks of course. The first thing I noticed

immediately was there was no external jack in back to run additional cab. That to me is a deal breaker. For some crazy reason that topic has never came up. So couldn't make a true judgement on the purchase. Kind of had to walk out on faith if you will.

As far back as I can recall I have always maintained a stereo cab set up for modulation effects. Thank you

David Gilmore. Second the 1X 12" speaker as great  as it sounds in my studio area( Bed Room) Totally lacks

in my live situation. Looking over the makeup of the amp I am a little nervous about attempting to put a greenback

a creamback a vin 30 or any like speaker for an upgrade or replacement. so that's dilemma two. Now with that being said

Alot of money spending scenarios start coming into play. ISO cab Sound shield etc the list gets a little wacky.Giving old chap the benefit of the doubt. Because the tones are truly slap your momma to die for. And there is no shortage of clever things that it can do for you. No kidding! I am still learning. And yes! I do believe the Amp is still cutting edge as far as recording / learning tool. Still very stoked even with these short comings. But that brings me to my final point. All through out the Demo's arguments of all types of it's versatility. The cleverness the bluetooth the commanding of suck a tonal arsenal library.  The powerful 150 watts the clever small speaker ambiance and probably alot of note worthy mentioning benefits. The one huge important fact to me that was left out or omitted. How does it handle in a live concert type setting. No mention of optimal mic pairing. Set up etc. Now I'm not talking about opening for Malmsteen or Sabbath or anything like that. I am referring to a small enough venue where I believed the set up would work well. It could definitely use an external 1/4 " jack for outgoing. With a selectable OHM setting to accommodate the cab load. And while I got your attention. Please read next post. Thanks!

  3. I have the 150 and I am already wondering how to upgrade the 12" speaker. I admit I have been running it on live sound applications.

But the special 12" Celestion speaker is very cheap. Even mic it just doesn't seem to have the oomph. The tones are stellar. I am just commenting on the 12" speaker only. Probably a chinese version. But looking at the amp.

It looks like a speaker change out/ overhaul would be a major deal.

  4. Greetings

I am pretty stoked like everybody else! Sound,Tones, etc.

I due to the lack of a better word. SOLD my ego stack some time ago.

Seriously! I had a cervical fusion year ago. I currently live with

a herniated bulging lumbar L-4,5 along with needing a new Right knee for about

20 yrs now.( But actually. I was curious about looking into a decent

travel case for that little wonder? Maybe Gator! I don't know.  But here's the rub.

Guitar, lead, and an Amp.Preferably a good to a  great Mic.Depends on you really.Could even be used as an ISO cab.

Tuck it out of sight. Use the midi foot controller that looks like it probably works just as great as the AMP does.

Oh yeah! I'll be singing some serious high praises about that great sounding back saver for quite some time to come. :)

Seriously! Whatever you want. Just dial it in. Go play! It's just that simple. Plug into

your guitar and go have FUN!  See what happens when you can't afford Roadies.
