I have been using the Helix into a L2M linked into Powercab 112.  I have the powercab on a slanted amp stand and the L2M underneath in horizontal position.  You wanna talk power, way more than I need, not sure I even need a second 112.  However, the 212 is definitely awesome, but probably not necessary for me at this time.  Sucks that I am gear junkie.  I am getting better at saying no, only took 45 years.

I am thinking of going with a second powercab 112.

Hello all. My 3 month old L2M that is hooked to my helix via AES cable is having an issue that I was hoping somebody might be able to help me with. When L2M is on floor (horizontal) the speaker mode button is sometimes unresponsive. Upright (vertical) the speaker mode button works when held down for a few seconds. Is it normal to freeze up when hooked to helix horizontally ? Or does it just sound like it is broken?

Is there possibly a "DT" type Tube amp coming in the future, dedicated to the Helix?  For now I am running my Helix into a L2M and I am in heaven.

Just pulled the trigger on a l2m to compliment my helix. I can't believe how amazing it sounds. Thanks for all the great info!

No danger of that... Over short distances, you would most likely be OK with a mic cable, but even then there's more of a chance that you could have issues with signal degradation. Using an AES/EBU cable is best practice.

I just realized I've been using a regular mic cable with my helix and stagesource l2m, did I just mess up my equipment?

It sounds like reverb. Same reverb on every other device I've ever owned. What's the big deal turn it up turn it down turn it off.

I don't trust myself lol, someone please post a step by step you tube video.

Any luck with your Helix, mine also has a small break under one of the scribble strips.

Great job Line 6 ! You have created some great products over the years, but the helix and now this editor are fantastic, my favorite of many pieces of gear that I own. Thank you for making playing guitar even more fun!

Hello there, I picked up a new Helix the other day and I am running it through my Egnater Renegade head using the 4cm.  I am pretty green with the whole 4cm and I am experiencing an strange issue.  

I set up the Helix top path with a few effects and a send and a receive, no amp models or cabs, just using my amp distortion.  On my dirty channel when I start playing I am hearing 2 guitar sounds, 1 is distorted and 1 is clean?  I am not sure what I am doing wrong and I am not sure if the Egnater Renegade effects loops is series or parallel (if that even matters).

Any help would be appreciated.

As for the HD500...it's an incredible modeler, especially for the price. But I'm gonna go with the helix and still use my dt50 with it too. I usually stick to one topography when I play live (because of the loud "pop" when it changes topography). So I'll just set it to the one I like the best and tweak slightly on the Helix to hear what I want. :)

 

The main thing that the DT amp does is bring the digital modeling alive with tubes. The DT will still do that with the helix (or any other modeler).

I hope the helix does indeed bring magic to the DT amps.  I can't wait for the 2 hour andertons videos on you tube.  lol

No offense, It sounds like a HD 500, just three times the price with colored bells and whistles. I love line 6 and have supported them from day one, but my HD 500X and DT 25 sound amazing and I will be sticking with them for the long run. The DT series is the best from line 6 and will go down as one of their best amps ever. The reviews and sales speak for themselves.

The DT series is fantastic, works great with the 500x and jtv guitars. This new amplifi is just a new addition to their catalog of gear. I don't want it, not interested but maybe someone will enjoy it.

As long as they continue to support and improve DT and jtv gear, life is good.

I had a feeling those types of pedals would be appearing soon, actually surprised line 6 didn't produce the first one.

So far so good, just got mine 2 weeks ago and was a bit stiff. After continuous playing springs feels much better now. Great guitar.
