  1. It's very helpful to put a looper block first in the chain.

record a phrase then audition IRs with different amps while it plays back.

Focusing on the sound rather than playing is great however part of the thing is how it feels as well.

You'll probably find that real world amp/speaker/mic combinations work best.

Start there, a random search could be endless.

I have bought way too many IRs since getting the Helix...

Seems I always end up liking Ownhammer best. Especially the latest releases.

Some Celestion IRs really good as well.

In this business over 50 years I can truly say we have it good these days...

  2. Try the Grammatico (default setting) into the Powercab set to LF-RAW it's absolutely amazing!

Turn off any cab or IR and let the Powercab do it's thing....

Add the KOT or Zen Drive.

Finally feels like a real amp and can really compete with my Mesa Lonestar Special.

L6 Link to control the Powercab Plus is FANTASTIC!

It's works beautifully with 2 Powercabs

    It's in the output block.

So why didn't we just release the models as 2.75 and release the features as 2.80 later? Two reasons:

    • Releasing and then ramping up for another release slows things down considerably
    • We're not your monkeys

    Settle down, Beavis.

    The first reason was sufficient.

    Second reason uncalled for...

  6. When the split path gets merged the dry signal from each path gets summed thus it is louder.

For instance reverb and delay on separate paths which I like.

Sounds great but not sure if I like this....

If you take one path and go %100 wet, such as say delay then use either A/B split (not Y) to send how much to the delay.

Or use the merge/mixer block to balance how much delay.

Another way is take the merge block and send path B straight to the output.
This way sounds different, best in my opinion so far.

    Horses for courses I guess.

    Any opinions?
