  1. I think the philosophy was to create a unit that is so easy to program that it doesn't require editor or bluetooth.

Now they revised this to some extend by writing an editor software (soon).

I had an H9 before and while it was fun using an ipad with it, I much prefer a unit with a great integrated screen and some extra ease of use gimmicks like touch sensitive buttons etc.

  2. The manual for such a product must explain every parameter of any effect or setting. Currently the manual maybe covers 50%. The rest is trial and error. There is no excuse for it.

Smaller companies often are better with these things as there are too many meetings and discussions and too little action. Some intern could write a proper manual in a week. Wouldn't need all the different languages even. But it ain't gonna happen.

  3. Guess you're talking about the mags only? Don't forget, the Variax is no 'normal' electric guitar (if such thing exists anyway  ;)) - because of the piezos. Maybe L6 could find an option for the mags (only) in the helix signalflow someday...

Well the models sound better (more natural, more guitar like) through cable and the guitar input, too, try it!

However switching and pickup selection through Helix presets won't work then.

  4. While it was quite bass heavy  played on its own, when I cranked it in rehearsal the Friedman ASM was killer. And it's not very expensive. But you have to cope with the weight.

  5. For amps that cannot switch channels via control change (where you could define two alternating values in one helix foot switch) it could be great to have the ability to assign optionsl TWO program change values on s FS, one for on, one for off.
