  1. Must submitted an application to join the Facebook group!!! :)

Yeah, but they get processed pretty fast!  :)

And, the latest version of Brewsters Toybox (v8) is exclusively available in the files section in the Facebook Helix Worship Team Users group...    There's an amazing community in there!

    USB multichannel output through sends

The ability to assign the "audio interface" part of the unit to default USB 1,2,3,4 to Sends 1,2,3,4.

The idea is to allow users to have their DAW output something like click, cues, and backing tracks through the Helix (USB 1,2,3.4) and out to the 4 Sends without the need for additional hardware and without taking up unnecessary real estate in a patch.

This is sort of done now with USB 1/2 being able to be sent out directly to the 1/4", XLR, and Digital outputs. This would be an expansion of that concept allowing additional USB audio channels to be directed through the Sends as well.

  3. Wow, this one is driving me nuts...  I can not, for the life of me, get Abelton Live to send my HD500X the tempo...

    - Ableton preferences > MIDI Sync > Port output to device > Sync = on

    - I can control Ableton from the HD500X (starting/stopping loops etc)

    - HD500X tempo sync set to Global

    - All channels are set right

    - Cables are plugged in right

I can't figure out what I'm missing or why it won't sync the tempo...

  4. I have a Molten Voltage Tempode which allows me to sync tempo across all the midi devices on my board.     It works fine for everything except the HD500X - sort of...

Once I send the tempo change signal, everything syncs except the HD500X which requires me to hit one of the footswitches.   The moment I do that, the tap tempo light syncs properly and all is good.     Seems pointless to have that extra step though.    According to Molten Voltage, the Tempode sends out MIDI Start, Stop, and Clock commands.

I also discovered that if I have the HD500X sitting at the 6/10 Setup screen (Midi/Tempo), it will sync immediately.     But the moment I'm not at that screen, I need the extra step.

Any clues as to what I could possibly do to correct this?

  5.

If none, I'll be finishing my custom one anytime soon, and if anyone's interested I'll be willing to share it. Does make your life a bit easier when you don't have to remember all the bank, patch and controller numbers and values while preparing a live set.

How did you make out with this?    Looking to automate my patch settings from Mainstage 3...

  6. You might want to experiment with the Tap Tempo feature. That way you can use the same preset and adjust the delay timing by tapping with your foot rather than creating different presets with different bpms.

I hear you on the separate patches.   Sometimes I need to have my tempo set right for the beginning of the song (ok, most of the time) so I too create patches for each song when there's heavy delay.    As I side project, I have a P&W band and we are using Logic Pro X/Mainstage for live (backing) tracks.   I've been trying to figure out how to get that to set the tempo on my HD500X automatically...     That, I guess, is a topic for a different thread.
