  1. Why is this such a deal breaker? What is it that the lack of this control prevents you from doing? If we can get an understanding of that perhaps we can offer an alternative that you can use with the HX One. The HX One allows you to use only one FX model at a time, and it is used in conjunction with other equipment in your setup. The FX model in use at any time either has a Level control or it doesn’t. Those that don’t are actually modeling a real world pedal that also has no Level control. Imagine you were using this analog pedal with no Level control in your setup; how would you handle that? Presumably you adjust to the lack of this control by adjusting other equipment in your setup. Or would you simply not use any analog pedal without a Level control? If that’s it the answer is simple - just don’t use the HX One digital models either.
  2. Connect your monitors directly to the POD Go audio outputs.
  3. I don’t see anywhere in the manual where this list of ‘things stored in a preset’ is defined. Can you point me to it? If it’s not defined in the manual then I don’t know where you are getting the idea that there is something called Preset Level (the last item in the list) that is separate from the Level parameter that is included in some but not all ‘FX model settings’. To my understanding there is no such thing. In short, if the real-world analog pedal being modeled has no Level parameter then neither does the digital model, and there is no separate Preset Level in the model. I don’t think I can be any more clear than that. I think you understand fully but simply wish it were otherwise. It ain’t. Continuing to ask for clarification won’t change anything.
  4. Yes, there is a Level parameter for many individual FX models. If there is one on the original analog pedal being modeled then it also appears in the digital model. But there is no master/global Level control for all presets, which is what I think you are asking.
  5. I believe you can re4cord a maximum of 2 tracks simultaneously. The default is 1 track/tone but you can enable Dual Tone mode. The 4 inputs provide you with an instrument, Line, or Mic input option for each Tone/track.
  6. Any feature or capability that is not described in the manual does not exist in the device. I don’t see the feature you describe in the manual. Hence, ….
  7. I don’t know whether or not there will ever be a 4th snapshot for the Stomp. Also I don’t have an HX Stompmto experiment with so this is purely theoretical…… There might be a way to use one Snapshot and one or more FX blocks turned on/off appropriately to provide you with what you would otherwise call Snapshot 4. For instance, could you blend your Crunch and Rhythm snapshots so that Crunch = Rhythm + OD FX? Or your Rhythm to be Clean + Mod + Del? You get the idea. Doing that, and configuring certain Global Settings appropriately (e.g. snapshot toggle), you might be able to use 3 defined Snapshots plus the Bypass feature and Mode switching to yield a 4 snapshot setup. I haven’t investigated this approach so it might or might not work or be practical.
  8. Change the Wah activation to a footswitch?
  9. You will probably need to download and install v2.0. Since it’s new to you, you will want to download and install the POD Go Edit program anyway. Do that first and then run POD Go Edit with your POD Go connected via usb. You will be prompted to upddate the firmware if you are not already up to date.
  10. If using HX Edit to name the snapshots make sure you hit the ENTER key to complete the naming procedure.
  11. The yellow picks indicate that the preset and/or IR are not public domain, but were most likely purchased in the Helix Marketplace. Have you purchased these presets/IRs, entitling you to use them? If so, within Helix Native log into your Line 6 account. If the indicators don’t disappear you may have to reauthorize your purchases.
  12. Does the click track send MIDI Clock info? If so, check Global Settings -> MIDI/Tempo
  13. You can arrange your presets in any bank/slot you want by using the Save Preset feature. The Save operation is a 2-step procedure. In the second step you identify the Save location (preset destination). Specify the target location before pressing the Save button a second time. You can also use the Copy/Paste features with the preset in HX Edit.
  14. Your physical guitar cab/speaker will colour the sound a lot; you will not be able to get all your tone from the POD, and it will sound very different if you switch to a different physical guitar cab/speaker. When connecting to a guitar cab you should not use cab/IR models in the POD preset. If you do want to control your tone mostly from the POD you will need to not use your guitar amp at all. Rather, use PA speakers or studio monitors, both of which are commonly called FRFR (full range, flat response). In that case you would use a cab/IR model in your POD preset. You can experiment with the levels. Typically your amp FX Return will take instrument level. You’re right about using the input pad with active pickups.
  15. I know you’ve reviewed the Global Settings -> Switches/Pedals options but you may be missing something there. The manual is very helpful in this regard.
  16. A typical acoustic setup would use compression, EQ (maybe two), Studio Preamp (no guitar amp), perhaps an IR (there are some free ones out there) and chorus, delay, reverb to taste. You’ll notice the need for a deep EQ cut in the 200-400hz range with any Variax acoustic model. Experiment. If you want to purchase some very good presets, Helix Marketplace can help. I bought the Glenn DeLaune Acoustic package for Helix and was very satisfied. He may offer a POD Go acoustic package but if not you will be able to adapt the blocks and settings.
  17. I suspect you need to tweak something in your Line 6 account settings.
  18. Another thought - does the Channel Volume level knob control the level of the power amp even if there’s nothing physically connected to the Channel Input? If so, there’s your answer because it should also control the output level of the PWR IN signal.
  19. You use the HX Edit program to export the preset. There will be an option to specify the file location for the exported preset file. The default is somewhere specific but I change that for my own file organization purposes,
  20. OK - but it still seems odd to me. The PWR IN should expect an instrument level signal I think, exactly what the POD Go Amp Out is sending, because it is routing this signal to the internal power amp section. If you need to boost it you certainly can but I would be concerned about speaker distortion. Before buying something, try connecting the POD Go Main Output at Line level into the PWR IN jack. In the POD Go preset just use a preamp model - no FX - and disable the Cab/IR in the POD Go preset. This will tell you what the signal level will sound like if you get a preamp box. Compare it to the sound of your guitar connected directly to your amp guitar input with a similar amp (voice) selected.
  21. Do you mean the Factory Presets? If you want to restore the Factory Presets perform a Factory Reset. On the HX Stomp you do this by holding down FS 2+3 while powering up. This restores default global settings, factory presets, and factory IRs. After doing this, rather than copying down values, simply Export the presets you are interested in. Then Restore your backup file. When you want to experiment with those factory presets simply Import them again. There are many reasons that your manual procedure may be inaccurate or incomplete. Rather than worry about that, do the above.
  22. I took a quick look at that amp. Unless I missed something, it doesn’t seem to have an FX Return jack. It has an 1/8” Aux input. Is that what you’re referring to? If so, that’s almost certainly a line level input. What you’ll need is a little preamp box to boost the instrument level input to a line level output. Shouldn’t be expensive.
  23. Ha Ha! I wish I could take credit for that but I picked it up here some years ago. You can pick up a lot of gold by hanging out here and reading stuff even when you’re not seeking help for something. I regularly use the opposing min/max setup to blend amp Drive (or distortion FX) levels with Channel Volume. Go from pristine to heavy distortion and anywhere in between by rocking the pedal while maintaining the overall volume level.
