I have set up the VSTs for for Podfarm in Reaper. I am currently running EZdrummer 2 and importing drum tracks easily; however, I am having issues recording through the Podfarm VST.
I cannot hear my guitar when I'm playing along with the drum track, whether recording is armed or not; however, the track does pick up the signal when recording and when I hit playback, I can hear the guitar tone through Podfarm. The problem is that it is nearly impossible (at least for me) to record along with a drumbeat without being able to hear my guitar.
How do I set up Reaper so that I can hear myself both when I am recording and when the recording is being played back?
PS, this is my absolute first time attempting home recording, so I am an extreme beginner.
