I found the sound I wanted on the X3 but I can't get it on the 500x. UNIVIBE. To hear it hit click on "univibe". You can hear it in this song on the melody during the verses. What I ending up doing was hook up my Roger Mayer univibe as outside effect. I still can't find that sound in the 500x.

I found gearbox on my old PC and copied it to my new PC and IT WORKS will all my old presets in Windows 10!!! 

Yes it's USB and it works fine!

I was thinking about using the 500x for my sound card. I have an Edirol FA-66 firewire that works fine and it's easy to use. I am building a new set up for my DAW new speakers, 2 monitors etc. I don't play out anymore so at the moment the 500x is used for effects as needed

I had to replace my PC recently. The usb cable that came with my Pod 500xhd is too short so I bought a 10' printer cable to connect to the new PC. Are the 2 cables the same? Is it OK to use the 10'cable? Thanks for any info!!!

I've tried to delete created presets but couldn't. I'm still new. What I did was over write the ones I didn't want.

Thanks for the presets!!!! I till get the worbble and weirdness in both. I have something in my set up that makes the presets unusable. The SRV preset is ok but when I start play Pride and Joy the sound gets out of tune as I do 2 or more strings or play faster. Thanks !!!!

I'm playing the SRV, Hendrix, and Guns and Roses songs in Eb. It's not the same but I don't think anyone in the clubs can tell

It's the 1st and ONLY thing at the beginning of the FX chain. I've tried every combination I can come up with. 

Shot in the dark but what firmware level are you at ?

I can't get this to work. With the pitch glide I set the mix at 100% and -1.0 down. It goes to Eb but sounds bad and unstable. I recorded a friend at a gig tuning down and he has no problems doing it and I couldn't tell by listening he just used his Pod. He showed me how at the break.  Mix 100% and mix down -1.0. What am I NOT doing right? please help

Is there something I need to do in parameters? Do I need to tun the pedal off? 

The Pitch Glide effect does this perfectly. Just setr the mix level to 100% and turn the pitch setting to -1. i use it all the time for Alice & Chains and SRV and it does a greast job. Oh and make sure you position the effect at the begining of the chain for best results.

Could you tell us how on youtube? I really need this function. The band leader will not change the set list or the time I have to retune. The guitarist before me used a HD5500x and could go to Eb just by hitting a button. That's one of the main reasons I bought my Hd 500x. Doing what you describe does not work and I get bleed over and worbble. I have my settings as you stated

I was told by LINE 6 support that it couldn't be done!   Line 6's written response to me was "We have just spoken.  I have put in the feature request." d parks.

 

It took me a couple of hours this morning but I figured it out!  Thanks for the hint in placing the effect at the BEGINNING of the chain.  I didn't know that. 

 

For what it's worth to the others reading this post, my settings are: PITCH: -0.9, MIX: 100%, FX TYPE: Pitch, FX MODEL: Pitch Glide.  This gives me my 1/2 step down tuning and allows me to play along with the great ones: Hendrix (Red House), SRV: (Pride and Joy), and Gun N' Roses: (Paradise City)!

I'm taking mine back to where I bought it for a replacement tomorrow. My friend can tune down without any problem yet mine with the same settings does not work

I don't have that much money! I have to work for a living........... ..problem solved... 

I have a friend with the same HD 500x I have that can set his as described above and go to Eb with a hit of a switch yet mine will not without the worble or bleedover. I just don't get it. 

Btw, I don't have time to retune between tunes. I have about 7 seconds before the count off to the next tune. I watched my friend do it last night on all the SRV and Guns and Roses tunes. Is mine defective?

I've set my Pod with 2 channels for tonight. A clean and Crunch and effects for each.

I still have the problem with getting the wah to work with the HD Editor. As long as my Pod wasn't hooked up to my PC I seemed not to have any problems. When I went in and edited with the  HD Editor the wah was erratic. The wah wouldn't function. I unplugged from the PC and reset it and I think I'm good to go for tonight.

What  could be causing the editor not to recognize the movement of the Expression pedal? On the screen it moved  erratically and not smooth. It was over and under jumping all over the place 

Thanks! I don't have much time to know the HD500x. I have a gig tonight and running it directly to the PA. I need to set it up so I don't have to spend much time between songs. The band I'm joining goes from one song to the next.  It's overwheming

I have a HD500x

I am trying to set the footswitchs and effects. I watch videos and when they turn the knobs and the cusor moves immediately. On mine when I turn or try to scroll the knobs I get SYNC IN PROGRESS in the window and a delay. I can't take that much time to change something on a gig

Every thing I do gets a sync in Progess  message. This is ridiculous 

My pod HD500x is defective. I tried with tech support and a friend that has the same pod came over. The Wah doesn't function in any setting or preset. It's stuck in a set position when activated and there's no Wah Wah. I am getting a replacement tommorrow. My question is Do I delete my old registration then add the new serial no. and will it create a problem with Line 6 Monkey? Any info is greatly appreciated!

I created a few presets but can't find how to delete them. I don't see any delete choice. Just save.
