Line 6-ers, I need help. Just want to know the capabilities of the M13 - as I'm thinking of replacing my HD500 with it. I don't use ANY of the amp modelling on the HD500 - but I use the effects. I currently have to have 6 Scenes to cover 1 gig's-worth of effects. (90's Cover band called Sounds Like Teen Spirit) - on any given gig I would use Fuzz, Distortion, Chorus, Phaser, Flanger, talk-box, delay, trem, leslie, compressor, whammy up 2 Octaves, Whammy Down 2 octaves, pitch up 5th, pitch down 3rd, wah, synth, Clean-boost - though I have an EP-101 for that now. It's not impossible - but it is annoying to have to jump back and forth for songs. It works, but It would be greate to get all effects into 2, or Ideally 1 "Scene". My questions: ONE Can I setup 12 effects on one scene - Drives in A, Mods in B, Delay/synth, etc. in C, and so-on. and then be able to turn on any 4 effects at once? E.G. - for Nirvana songs - could have distortion, and chorus on (one in A, one in B - then for Rage songs - could have Flange, Pitch, Whammy, on (A, B, C)? I guess the root of my question is - are you able to setup the M13 like a REAL pedal board - with the only limitation being that you can only have 4 effects on at the same time? (1 from each of ABCD columns)? TWO Does the M13 model input impedances of the individual pedals being modelled? (Like the POD HD 500 does?) Can I change this setting? I couldn't find anything in the L6 documentation on the M13. But the modelling of input impedances, While awesome, was a huge tone destroyer for the 4CM with my current Amp - so I had to set the global input impedance of all effects at the highest impedance (I think 3.5Mohms) to compensate. THREE Does the FX Loop take up one of the blocks on the M13 - or is it virtual...set it n' forget it? (I think I saw in the manual, that you can put it anywhere.) Thanks in advance for your feedback. Grunge on.
It's clear that currently it's not possible to use dsp part and the speakers part of amplifi seperately. You can easely put any stompbox before amplifi but you can not use anything between or after amplifi while using it's speakers, except you may use headphones out and might use that signal to feed and stomps and monitor it through another speaker system. So, if there is not any resteiction by hardware, it would be a practical solution to give an option to send the signal from amplifi's dsp to line-out without monitoring that signal through amplifi's speakers. So that amplifi only monitors signal from aux-in. That way, we can use loopers and other effects, probably using something between for different impedance issue. http://line6.ideascale.com/a/dtd/4CM-for-Amplifi/637650-23508
Hello, I have been reading several posts and found no answer for my problems. First of all, I´m connecting the unit the normal way for a 4 cable method connection. Apart from the fx loop volumes, what should be the position of the bypass know on the amp menu? I have turned it off. Should this knob be all the way up? Should it be at 50%? On the chassis, the AMP / LINE button. If turned to line, the amount of volume is absurd, specially if the bypass knob is cranked up. Should I turn the bypass all the way up and have the chassis option on the AMP? Should the fx go into the amp as a line signal or amp signal? Thank you so much for your time. Regards, Ricardo
Guys: I am using the 4 cable method to connect my POD HD500 to a Blackstar HT60 Stage amp. I am still fighting to get a good tone. Anyway, I need to connect my Wah (Morley Dragon 2) pedal, Tech 21 British and Suhr Riot pedals in the chain. I understand there are two options: 1) Connect the guitar >> wah, than Tech 21/Suhr pedals >> POD HD500 Guitar In 2) Connect the guitar >> POD HD500 Guitar in and POD HD500 FX Send >> Wah, Tech 21/Suhr pedals >> Amp Input. Sound is different. I like most the sound of Tech 21 / Suhr by method "1". However, the wah has no effect in both methods. Please, let me know what is the best way of connecting external pedals in the chain when using 4 Cable Method and POD HD500. Att, Emerson.
