  1. There is a new Facebook group started to support the amps, share tones, and ideas, hints and tips.. https://www.facebook.com/groups/771666262911262/ or Look up Line 6 Amplifi series of amps on Facebook
  2. Can anyone give me some pointers on how to get the best sound out of my JTV-59? After watching more videos showing off the sound, I'm convinced something is not right, maybe its the Amplifi amp I'm using (which means I can't use the VDI cable, WHAT???), or is it the 20 year old 1/4" that I play through, or is it just me...I cannot get mine to sound anything like the sounds in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=meqkcELwew0 I'm mostly referring to the acoustic models that sound amazing in the Line6 video - 1:20-2:25 is a great example of the acoustics that I bought this guitar for! There are some cords that when I play I can tell that the modeling is dropping some strings like it can't process all 6 at once. The 12 strings are the worst by far, in the video you can hear some pretty harsh strumming tones as he plays, I have to play mine SUPER light to get 75% of the sound that he is getting in the acoustic models, and my latency is terrible on top of that. My intent is not to bash on this guitar, I love it, or at least I'm trying real hard to keep loving it. And to be fair, most of the NON-Acoustic models seem totally fine to me. I am desperately hoping that someone can give me some pointers on places I can look to get a better sound, something doesn't seem right to me. FYI, my serial number dates my "NEW" JTV-59 as a November 2012 build if that's any clue as well. Thanks!
  3. Hey there, I am curious what you all think would be a better set up when playing live... An Amplifi 150 or An fx100 with one of the stagesource speakers.... to my understanding there is no way to connect the Amplifi to the Stagesource set up.. :( with out miking it at least. and obviously without using the headphone out.
  4. Does anyone know if the AMPLIFi can be used with the Fbv 1 shortboard, and if so, what all can it do? I just bought a Flextone 3 amp for fun, but I want to get the floorboard for it soon and I was hoping to be able to use it with the AMPLIFi also.
  5. Hello everybody, and mainly to the staff team, since this question is about future developement of the Remote app. I'm a Pod X3 user and the "jam along" function is something that i really missed... this is why I am giving a serious look at the Amplifi TT. I installed the remote app on my tablet, and checked the "music library" section. As I see, and as confirmed in the FAQ, the file library must be "local", no way to access a NAS via standard media servers (using standard DLNA protocol) Do you plan to add a feature like this one on the remote app? Because it would be a HUGE step forward in the home/studio environment integration. :-) This "limitation" is the only thing that keeps me from running to the local store and buy one Amplifi TT! Thanks in advance! And thanks for the awesom stuff you always bring to us rig enthusiasts
  6. Hey everyone! I have a Spider IV 75 amp. So I know that the fbv mkii shortboard is used as a tool to enhance the experience with the amp and that the AmpliFi fx100 is a multi-effects pedal. I've been looking at purchasing the mkii, but then found out about the fx100. My noob question: Which one should i purchase? Is the amplifi pointless and not the right call to go with the amp? Will it work like the shortboard in that I can switch between tones I've made on the amp? I do also play live in a small setting and have just been setting up a microphone to the amp. Thanks for the help! And if you need me to clarify anything just let me know. Albert
  7. Very happy and impressed so far with the Amplifi 75; will get a separate TT for recording pretty soon. As of now, I am really only missing two things: are you planning to release a desktop version of the app? When I want to use a TT to record, it feels clunky having to go via iPhone/iPad to change tones Maybe I am blind, but is there any way to just browse the tones (as opposed to search or "matching" via songs)? Thanks!
  8. Hey guys, Here is a quick video comparison between the AMPLIFi and the POD HD500x's AC 30 Top Boost Amp Models. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l10Snbbjc4Y
  9. I'm practicing mixing and mastering songs. Here is a quick sample of a little jam I did today. http://soundcloud.com/chris-arnold/12-21-2014-jam/s-UKWuZ
  10. I have recently started getting this error when I boot up the app on the iPhone and iPad I am forced to log in every time I boot it up. These two issues are new, I have had the app and amp about a month and this started last week. Full text of error is: Oops! We encountered an unexpected error. Please try again later. getMyTones failed with error 15877 (No Token!) any ideas?
  11. Q: If the AMPLIFi product works as a sound card through USB, what would be the way for connecting a pair of studio monitors to do the mixing with? How does the IO on AMPLIFi with USB recording enabled work? Is it a 2-in/2-out? If so, does AMPLIFi act as the 2-out monitor? A: The AMPLIFi amp becomes your sound card when using USB to record, so while you're recording using an amp, it's easiest to monitor computer playback through the amp – it really does sound great. You could always use the headphone outs to get a direct signal into studio monitors via a mixing board or other solution, but the intent is to use the amp for monitoring – at lease while you are recording. Once you are done recording, you can can mix using whatever setup you like. For AMPLIFi TT or AMPLIFi FX100, you would just connect monitors to the main outs on the units. Q: What bit depth and sampling rate can you use when recording with the AMPLIFi series? A: The AMPLIFi series can record in 24bit with sampling rates from 44.1k up to 96k on Windows and in 24bit with sampling rates of only 48k on MAC OSX. When using the AMPLIFi series for operating system audio you can adjust these within Control Panel on Windows and System Preferences on MAC OSX. When using the AMPLIFi series within a DAW, you can adjust these within the Audio Preferences/Options of the DAW. Q: What operating systems are the AMPLIFi series USB audio drivers compatible with? A: Our Windows ASIO USB audio driver is compatible with Windows 7 and Windows 8 and can be downloaded from our software HERE. The AMPLIFi series is CoreAudio compatible on MAC OSX 10.7 and above, therefore does not require the installation of any additional drivers.
  12. Hi guys. I wanted to share this quick clip I made of me jamming with my AMPLIFi 75 through my recording setup. I have the AMPLIFi 75 going out stereo from the headphone jack and into my Zoom R24 recording interface. Then, I put it into two tracks and pan left and right. It sounds AMAZING! And I just got these Presonus Eris 5 monitors and it sounds great. The AMPLIFi sounds great and I cn edit everything from my new iPad. I also used the HD500x for my bass tone. Here is the video.
  13. The Bluetooth connects easily and quickly but the amp either says hardware not responding or more commonly syncing. After a minute of the status saying syncing the app just closes. The Bluetooth connection still shows connected, the app is just not communicating with the amplifier. I reset the amp, reload the program and all the other troubleshooting. After 5 to 15 minutes of trying all kinds of things it works and sounds great. I am however really getting fed up with not being able to just turn it on and play. I have the latest firmware update and have tried all troubleshooting documented. I have had the amp for a month and this has been an ongoing issue on and off. I would have returned it to the store but it simply sounds so good when it works. I have been hoping for an update that would fix this but so far no luck.

  15. Hey guys, I finally got my AMPLIFI 75 watt yesterday. Check out this video of me jamming along with my JTV-69. I made a patch so all the acoustic and reso guitars sound good. Watch here:
  16. Now that the Amplifi App offers 25 "Banks" of 4 presets … I was wondering if anyone could confirm if the FBV Shortboard MkII Pedal allows you to scroll thru / access the multiple Banks?…. I currently have the MkII Mini but there is no Bank selection footswitch so I have no access to the newly provided Banks via the amp or pedal and can only access these banks by pressing a selection on the app (iPad or iPhone) itself, which is not the best option for playing live… Long story short … Trying to figure out the best way to be able to access all Banks on the Amplifi 150 / Amplifi App via a foot-controller … (or if these banks can be accessed by any combination of buttons being pressed on the Amp itself?) Thanks for any direction, Scott
  17. I still own a PODxt Live (and separate expression pedal), both still in pristine condition. B) I WANT to buy an AMPLIFi 150 for all its creamy goodness, as a major upgrade to my current practice amp. Can't wait to demo the amp at the nearby Guitar Center. I'm NOT crazy about also immediately buying a new FBV Shortboard MkII or other new foot controller / expression pedal to access the AMPLIFi's 100 onboard presets (when the Android device is not in play). I've already downloaded the new AMPLIFi Remote 2.0 (Android) app. Tested one side -- mobile phone only, without the LINE 6 hardware in the room. My new Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is not yet listed as officially "supported", but automatic music library recognition/acquisition, tone discovery, creation and editing all work like a charm, smooth as butter -- GREAT JOB LINE 6 !!. QUESTION: Can my PODxt Live's foot switches (BANK UP / DOWN and A, B, C, D) control the AMPLIFi's 100 onboard presets in the same manner that they control the PODxt's onboard presets? In other words, can the PODxt be used ONLY as a foot controller for the AMPLIFi, adding/subtracting nothing from the AMPLIFi's signal chain? If so, what are the required connnections? Firmware updates? Thanks in advance to ANYONE who has a reliable answer! Cheers!

  20. So, I was using my Amplifi today, and the bluetooth just quit. I've reset all of my devices including a software restore on the iPad and the amp bluetooth is never picked up anymore on the iPhone and only sometimes on the iPad. Any troubleshooting tips that you guys can give to help out? I've also power cycled and updated the amp
