  1. Just updated the Remote App on my iPhone 5s with latest iOS and it crashes on launch.
  2. I was just wondering that, now, in 2019 which one of the two should I go for? My requirements? 1. A goodish sounding practice amp, only for the home setup I am not experienced enough to be gigging. 2. It would be amazing if I could plug in my acoustic guitar and get some sweet acoustic sounds from it. 3. Functionality as a bluetooth speaker for house parties and movie nights. I know, I am asking for a lot, but of course, both these devices fit my requirements. I just vary Amplifi's software problems (like updates bricking the device) and connectivity issues. Do they still exist? or have some updates smoothed everything out. If updates have made things better I'd pull the trigger and just go ahead and buy it. Any of you have any other suggestions? Regards

  4. Now that Line 6 is in new ownership, when can we expect ANY form of update in regards to the future of the line? Is there even a team, a person, that has responsibility for it's content? I've had mine 4 years and it feels as if they never cared for the amplifi ecosystem once it went out to stores. Please give me a reason to continue to support Line 6 products.
  5. I have been searching for an answer but am. It able to find anything, so I will post my question. i have both an Amplifi 75 and a pod HD bean. Although I really enjoy the amplifi as is, there are times where I would like to plug my HD into it to utilize the amps, effects, editing etc. In essence use the Amplifi as a set of speakers. I have read and tried with variable success using the aux in jack. I was wondering though if you can attach the pod HD to the amplifi with the USB port. I used this in past through my computer and it worked really well. Just asking as I noticed that in the manual for the amplifi it has changed from “future use” to audio in/out for recording. Anyone tried this or have any knowledge about this. Asking before I start plugging in this where they may not be meant to go.
  6. Anyone else have an issue with the Amplifi app in ios 9.3? seems to still work ok on my ipad 9.2.1, Bluetooth is connected, playback works, but he app doesn't see my device. Iv restarted it 100 times..
  7. Hi, can I connect the Amplifi TT on a Vox cabinet speaker with a 1/4 inch cable directly through amp out (or mani out) or I would need to connect it to a stack amp first?
  8. I'll start with a simple question, which someone may be able to answer off the top of his/her head. Then, I'll go into a tedious explanation of what I'd like to accomplish. First, the question: If my JTV-59 is connected to a compatible Line 6 device with a VDI cable, will the analog output at the guitar's 1/4" output jack be suppressed, or could it be connected via a standard guitar cord to play through an amplifier? Now for the rest of the story, which may spark an alternate solution, or may result in a 'You can't get there from here' unhappy ending... The battery on my JTV-59 doesn't seem to have much longevity, despite the fact that I use the mag pickups more than the modeling. I'd like to be able to power it for everyday use and practice by connecting it to my Pod XT Live via VDI. But I'd prefer to go wireless into my Amplifi 30 through a Relay G10 plugged into the 1/4" output, because I like the sound of the Amplifi more than the output of the Pod XT played through my stereo amplifier. In this scenario, I'd essentially be using the Pod XT Live as an expensive power supply. But that's ok -- it's paid-for... If the output continues to be available at the 1/4" jack while connected via VDI, it would also open up the possibility to use the Pod XT Live to change models on the JTV, which would be VERY cool. I'd still be using the Amplifi for amplification, but wouldn't have to play with the knobs and switches on the guitar in the middle of a song. Another option that solely addresses the power issue may involve the XPS footswitch, which I've basically never used, although I have at least two of them, supplied with my Variax 500 and 600 guitars. Maybe it would be possible to power the Variax with the XPS and it's 3-conductor guitar cable, and plug the Relay G10 into the 1/4" output of the XPS box? I know: I could try these combinations, myself. And probably will. But I thought it would be useful to throw these scenarios out there and see if others have tried or given thought to possibilities such as these. Look forward to hearing any ideas or suggestions...
  9. PC/Mac USB Editor for Amplifi: :) Do any of you guys think that this should be available? :) Its such a shame that line 6/Yamaha don't seem to be addressing this topic  <_< The limitations to phones and tablets, for such a great concept seems futile <_< And yes I do like emoticons
  10. I just received my amplifi 75. Tried updating over bluetooth and update failed. But I cannot factory reset the amplifier, I powered down the amp, pressed down the Master volume button and tone button. Nothing happened. I powered it down again and did the same thing for a minute nothing happened. I even kept pressing them for 5 minutes and nothing happened! Is there a way around this is there something wrong I'm doing??
  11. For all of those who, like me, are waiting for the native Windows Amplifi Remote App: there is a way to run the Android version on windows and /or OS X systems. :) Install the latest version of VirtualBox and the matching extension package (Free) and create a virtual machine running the latest version of Android that is available as x86 ISO package. Than use you google account to get the Amplifi app from Google Play and you are all done. There is one glitch: it might be that this is not working with your built in Bluetooth hardware and in that case you have to disable it and use a USB bluetooth dongle. (To get ANdroid running I mainly followed the recipe given in this blog: http://www.fixedbyvonnie.com/2014/02/install-android-4-4-kitkat-windows-using-virtualbox/ Thanks Vonnie!) I currently have it running on a windows 8.1 tablet (EP121) and PC. I was running the app uptil now on my Minix TV Box. Allthough it was rather cool to have the largest guitar tuner in the world on my 40" TV Screen, the none-portability of my TV is less practical. But for you who did not think of it directly (like me): there is a good chance that your TV Box runs Android and you canb simply ionstall the app on it. I am also testing on a MacBook Air.(Here disabling the internal BlueTooth needs some hard core tweaking as Apple has drifted far away form it's open approach of the legendary Apple i and II for which they even supplied the source code of the bios in the manual). And once more: dear LINE 6 People. Surprise us with a native windows app. You will not only make your windows eco system users very happy! Not only that, but you also will be rewarded soon with a huge possible increase in fanbase as your Windows 10 App will work on Windows Tablets, Windows Desktops, WIndows Phones (from cheapest of $70 to the Apple 6 rivals costing half of what Apple charges), Windows TV Boxes, WIndows Remote Controls, Windows Foot Pedals and WIndows Washing Machines for all I care, as the windows 10 kernel will be the SAME for all these devices. This also means that Windows Apps can and will not be ignored anymore by the global app makers (including you) as up til now. So I hope that you are already on it and, in trademark Line 6 style, will surprise us unanounced with a native Windows app next week. And if not: please get moving!
  12. Hi everyone, I have an Amplifi 150 and i kinda love the guitar effects and was considering to buy a pedal footswitch to control its effects. Which pedal is better suited/your preference while using it with an AMplifi? FBV Shortboard MKII or FBV 3? I noted that the FBV 3 has some features (E.g. Programmable lights) Which are not compatible with Amplifi 150. FBVShortboard MKII: https://line6.com/foot-controllers/fbv-shortboard-mkii FBV 3: https://line6.com/foot-controllers/fbv3 Thanks!
  13. Hi all, I've had my Amplifi 75 for about a year now and have never really gotten to use it to it's full potential because of the constantly failing bluetooth connection. I previously had an iPhone 6, and it was hit or miss whether or not the amp would connect and show up in the Line 6 app, but now that I've switched to android it won't work at all. I've updated both the firmware on the Amp, and the application on my Galaxy s6, yet no dice. My phone will connect to the amp, and the app will work for about 30 seconds at which point the app starts spazzing out and the bluetooth light on the Amp starts blinking and the connection is dropped. I have tried unpairing and repairing but nothing will work. Occasionally I get the amp to stay paired long enough to play music through it as a bluetooth speaker, but it still never shows up in the Line 6 amp, making it effectively useless as an amp. If anyone has any solutions or ideas as to how I could remedy this issue I would seriously appreciate it! When I did have it working I loved the sounds I was able to create with this amp and really want to get that back. Thanks in advance for your help!
  14. Word of advice for every one consider buying AMPLIFi products. Seems like the support for none Apple users is quite limited. I bought FX100 as it was advertised as compatible also with Android. When I got my unit I found out it was shipped with firmware older than v2.0 so it was not possible to use it with my Android phone. I downloaded the AMPLIFi Utility software and latest drivers form the Line 6 web site and try to update the unit. This was unsuccessful, the update failed almost immediately. I search the support and forum form the Line 6 and found out that others had same problems. There was also advises how to use the USBupdater.exe what I tried and get the same file format error. I was using Windows 7 64 bit desktop PC. Finally I was able to update the unit with a Windows 8 64 bit laptop what I was able to borrow. Well, now I noticed that there was new firmware 2.50.2 available. There was now also newer util Line 6 Updater and drivers available. Downloaded them and tried the update with catastrophic consequences. As before the update failed as before but now the FX100 won't start at all it just goes to the flashing preset pedals recovery mode. This once again seems to be the case with some other users also! I somehow believed that these issues would have been resolved already with the new software. Now I have Windows 10 64 bit OS with desktop PC. I tried almost everything. I disconnected my USB keyboard and mouse, the only USB device connected was the FX100. I used my PC remotely with linux laptop to do the update. This way the update run approx. 25% until failing. I have 2 USB 2.0 ports on front and 4 USB 2.0 ports on the back of the PC. With desktop PC's it is quite common that you have several USB ports. And it actually means that there is internal USB hub in your PC. And it does seem like the Line 6 update utils just cannot handle this kind of situation. With the laptop that I was able to do the update previously had only 2 USB ports on different size. I guess that in this case there was no internal USB hub as it would in case of several USB ports. It seems like the updater utils are just really really really poorly made software. This problem has been around for years and still this is not fixed. I have to say I am really disappointed with the Line 6 and this AMPLIFi product line. Don't have experience using them with Apple devices, but is seems like those are better supported. Unless you are Apple user or if you do not have Windows laptop with just single USB ports I would advise you to stay away from this AMPLIFi products they only cause you headache and misery. I rest my case.
  15. Just picked up an Amplifi FX100 and trying to run the remote app (the whole reason I bought it) on my iPad 2, which is running the maximum iOS of 9.3.5, but the installer tells me it needs iOS 10?? It's just a simple interface, right? So how come it won't run on a slightly older OS from like only 2 years ago?? Am I missing something? I'll be kind of peeved if I've bought this Amplifi FX100 to use with my iPad only to find it can't run the remote software....?? Would an older version of the software work??

    New sounds

Is there a reason why there have not been any new sounds (amp & effect models) added to the Amplifi since its inception? I constantly get email updates notifying me of new firmware releases for Helix with added sounds. Yet us Amplifi users are still stuck with the same amps and effects since 2014. Can anyone share insight on this? Thanks
  17. So I recently bought a FX100. When connecting with my phone (iPhone 6), it says that it has connected. But then when I try to alter any settings it just doesn't work. There is no response, while it says that it's connected. I tried updating, but the updating via mac doesn't work. The device shows up but doesn't install. Does anyone know what to do?
  18. Is it possible to use a bass guitar on the AMPLIFi 150, or even on the 75?
  19. Hello, Is there any way to record a clean signal (without any processing, like true by-pass) from your guitar directly to your DAW while monitoring a processed signal? (For further re-amping of obtained clean signal)
  20. Hi, I recieived my AMPLIFi 75 amp yesterday and went about updating the firmware on it last night. After a good deal of frustation (The PC app kept failing to update) I managed to update it via my Mac but now I can't connect my android device, the bluetooth connects fine and the app is clearly seeing something as it says that the firmaware isn't up-to-date and so I can't us the app to make changes. I've checked on the Mac and it shows the amp firmware as definately being 2.6 and the phone app is too. The phone I am using is the Nexus 6P. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  21. This topic is for AMPLIFi TT/FX100 users to provide suggestions and notes on things they would like to see improved with this effects unit and related tools. *****This is not a thread for complaining; provide your feedback with respect and clarity.
  22. Hi everyone, So I go my FBV 3 foot controller to go with my Amplifi 150. It is strong on the build site and grotesquely weak on the documentation side. Thanks Line 6 for putting all the guesswork in our hands. The instructions (all 3 x ½ pages) are about as useless as you can get. I finally figured out how to change switch banks but still can't figure out how to change the LED colours of the upper row. If anyone has knowledge to share with regards to this setup, please let me know. Thanks everyone. - JP
  23. I have been using my AMPLIFi 150 for almost two years. It was working fine until a couple of days ago. My iPad Pro is connected to the AMPLIFi via Bluetooth, but it won’t sync. I can play music through AMPLIFi via Bluetooth but the app kept indicating that the device is not connected. Everything works fine if I use my iPhone6 instead. I am on iOS11 public beta 5 on both devices and I am using AMPLIFi Remote 2.60.2 for both devices. Issue is raised to Apple via feedback on public beta as well. By the way, please make a firmware upgrade to support the lights on FBV3. I don’t want to buy FBV3 if the lights don’t work properly. I don’t want to buy FBV2 either in case I buy the Firehawk 1500 later.
  24. You may have noticed a feature in the Settings Menus on the Firehawk/Amplifi Remote app called Advanced Routing. This feature helps manage having multiple Firehawk/Amplifi devices when connected, so you could Airplay music to another Bluetooth device while still controlling tones on a particular device. It would allow you to airplay the music stream to something other than the Firehawk/Amplifi, while still controlling tones on the unit. If you pair two Firehawk/Amplifi to a single mobile device, you should see some additional options as well.
