  1. For anyone who may have had a similar issue, I was FINALLY able to get the amplifi to work on windows 10 after pulling my hair out and trolling the forums for answers. I'm not sure if this will work for anyone else as it was SUPER simple, but after simply adding the amplifi as a bluetooth device, it wouldn't work, gave me errors. I tried a bunch of stuff and then... I ended up getting it to work by simply going into the windows SOUND properties window and right-clicking on the "AMPLIFI_75_75 Stereo" device and choosing "Disable", then immediately right-clicking and choosing "Enable"...BOOM! Suddenly worked! Hope this helps someone else out there! -sd
  2. *** Problem has been solved. If you use iTunes Match, any song you try to play through the AMPLIFi App will not play. The actually song has to be on your actual device.*** The biggest issue (not for me because I am an apple user) is that this is NOT geared for anyone who uses anything else but iOS and buys their music through iTunes (this iTunes part is a problem for me because I do not buy all my music through iTunes). With the AMPLIFi app, you can only stream music that has been purchased through iTunes. Also, this music is the only music that pulls up suggested tones to match the music. ***All devices (iOS, Android, Mac, PC, Windows Phones) will be able to stream their audio to the amp via Bluetooth (provided it has Bluetooth capability). But the amp's tone matching functions DO NOT WORK with anything else but iOS and music strictly purchased through iTunes. I am assuming that this is how the tone matching works. Line 6 must have teamed up with Apple and use the metadata in the music from iTunes to match up tones. Even music that you put into your iTunes library from CDs or if you purchased through Amazon will not be able to be streamed through the AMPLIFi app and have tone matching capabilities.*** I have found this out when I was messing with the free iPhone AMPLIFi app. Check out my video of that here.
  3. In the last year or two, I have totally rethought my entire guitar playing life and came to the realization that this is not my living, but rather an intense hobby. Where I used to think I HAD to have the latest, greatest most awesomest gear just to survive as a player, (lightning in a bottle anyone?) I have since reduced the compllexity of my gear hoarde to basically my acoustic, and an electric guitar setup of Strat/Tele -> A few quality analog pedals -> Fender blackface tube amp. I am happy with my sound and have no desire to buy every pedal ever made anymore. Which brings me to Amplifi. Even though I am happy with my sound, I also resolved to practice far more using my wasted gear surfing time for actually working on songs and techniques. Still, it would be nice to have a practice tool that does the things Amplifi claims to do, such as bluetooth speaker, MP3 song mixing along with your guitar output through a reasonable facsimile of the tone for the given song and the ability to (finally) control it all through my Android devices. Sounds like the ticket to me for $400... ...except I know how things can REALLY be. Like bluetooth sound stuttering, firmware update bricking, wonky knobs, funky control schemes and other sundry issues. So I ask the community - if you use Amplifi, does it work reasonably well doing the things Line6 claims it can do with a bare minimum of fuss, or are there "issues" lurking that will more detract from the goal of practicing than aid in it?
  4. I posted a few day ago about my problem with the Amplifi 150... In a nutshell, when the update hit I was very impressed, so impressed I canceled my classified add to sell the Amplifi. Since the first night messing with the app & Amplifi I have not been able to reconnect with the Amplifi 150. Music streams just fine, but the Amplifi and the app will not connect to each other. Contacted customer support and the representative did not even take the time to read my full problem. He responded back, telling me to take steps that I had already taken. Had he read the full problem, he would of realized this because I clearly listed all the trouble shooting steps I had taken. In my response back I told him I had already tried his suggestion. His reply was to take it to an authorized service center. If my Amplifi 150 had been working for the past month, I probably wouldn't be so frustrated. I was about to sell the Amplfi when the update came out, after trying the updated app, I canceled my classified add and my faith in Line 6 was restored a little bit. However, after this problem and the response from Line 6, I'm at my wits end. This is the 2nd time that they suggested I take the Amplifi to a service center. The first time I was able to fix the problem myself after hours of trying different things, so I am not convinced that a service center is the answer. Am I the only one going through this!? Posted this rant on the forums in hopes that I will get some sort of response from Line 6 and maybe some feedback from other customers frustrated with recent issues. I am about to leave the Line 6 products for good because of the whole iOS 9 debacle and the issue I am having now. I have also had many other problems prior to this, so this is just the last straw for me. When the Amplifi works it is a genius product that I love and use daily in my teaching studio. Hopefully Line 6 can get this worked out and keep a customer!
  5. This is my first real complaint with the Amplifi Fx100. I cannot seem to get an overdiriven or distorted tone to my liking. To me they just dont seem believable. I am playing through a Peavey Classic 30 and my analog Distortion and Overdrive sound fantastic but the tones Im getting from the Fx100 seem buzzy and thin. I will keep playing with the settings but any help would be greatly appreciated. Im sure Im just doing something backwards and am not getting my gain and volume settings right. Anybody else have this problem?
  6. Hi, as soon as I try to connect my iPad to my Amplifi, It disconnects immediatly. Does anyone have tais problem ? Amplifi software update: 2.13.09 iPad OS: 9.0.1
  7. It seems I am having an issue saving Presets. I save them to "My Tones", I then save them to the hardware position of my choice. I can then navigate via the pedal buttons to each preset I just saved and they show up as such in the Amplifi app. But then after turning it off and then back on later the tones are still there with all of the settings I left them with but the names of the presets have been set to Default. Be advised I am using the Android app on a Kindle Fire Hdx. I am not sure if there is a "cardinal rule" to saving the presets but I have tried every possible way. Its annoying because I am having trouble remembering what preset is in what location until I see it in the app. During a gig this is not a problem. My cheat sheet lets me know what button to push. Anybody had a similar experience? Am I just overlooking something simple. It needs a global "Save" button to save the everything at one time including the hardware.
  8. Hello, I am trying to record in my DAW using my Amplifi TT, but I am having some difficulty as I am able to hear my input both though the DAW and out of the device itself. I also have a POD HD 500X, and the audio control panel has a "Hardware Monitor Level", which has the exact function I am looking for on my Amplifi TT. My input is going in the guitar in, and the output is via the headphone out. I have the TT connected to my computer via USB. If I mute the input in my DAW, I can hear the TT's input fine. When I unmute it, I can hear it "stacked" twice, so to speak. Can someone assist me so that I can only hear the output through my DAW? Thank you!
  9. I have a Amplifi FX100 that I have had for over a year but have only used two or three times. How do I prepare this unit for resell so that I can get rid of it and have the new owner be able to register it and have it work? Thanks in advance for your help! Peace & prayers!
  10. Hey Guys i recently got a new phone, the samsung galaxy s6. I've installed the amplifi app onto this new phone, and tried to set it up to my amplifi 75, but the phone can't seem to detect the amplifier? I've updated my amp to the latest firmware, and the app is on the same update too. My previous phone (the galaxy s3) works fine the the amp, but I seem to be having issues with this new phone. Any advice?
  11. Hi. Just bought an Amplifi FX100 and tried to download the Remote app onto my iPhone 4 running iOS 7.1.2, which is a config that all spec sheets declare as OK. Surprise! The only version now present on the App Store is 2.12, which can only be installed on iPhones running iOS 8.2. More surprises! iOS 8.2 can only be installed on iPhone 5 and later! Result: I can't use my brand-new FX100 without changing my smartphone to a newer and more expensive one. Question: does anyone know where to find an older version of the Remote app (and how to install it without the App Store or iTunes)? Thanks.
  12. Hi everyone, I'm still reasonably new to the Line 6 world so bear with me. I have a AMPLIFi 150 and a Shortboard MKII which I use when my iPad isn't nearby to switch between presets, etc. My question is, can I use a Mission Engineering Expression pedal (say as a wah?) with the AMPLIFi + shortboard? I have it attached to the MKII but I don't know how (or if?) the AMPLIFi will recognize it? Thanks!

    Blue Screen

has anyone else experienced blue screening when unplugging their Amplifi TT, or any other Amplifi product from their windows computer? I was recording guitar, then when I finished, I unplugged the USB from my laptop and it caused a blue screen. The worse part is I lost what I did.
  15. Can not update to 2.10. Each time I try it gets about 5 mins into the update and I get the update failed message. Put the amp in recovery mode, and now the amp shows up as an 'Amplifi 75' Start the update again and it fails within the first minute. I don't have access to a PC or Android, Everything I own is Apple. Anyone have any suggestions!? Of course I need this amp tomorrow for some recording, I hesitated to update, but I wanted to take advantage of the USB recording. I have had this for over a year and I am probably going to try to return it. EVERY TIME I update I run into some sort of problem.
  16. Firstly, can I say that I think the FX100 is great. I have had many effects / pedals in the past and usually just gone back to Marshall and Guitar and ditch everything else. I do have an HD400 but never really tweaked it much and the PC editor was good but a bit of a faff to use. maybe over complicated for an average user. For the record I have used FX100 for rehearsals and recording (released material) and it is very effective (I reckon it could easily be used live but I have held back due to potential for monitoring concerns). Try and play tones loud when you get the chance as they come alive more than just listening at home. I use it with a bank of settings using the same Amp. So A is Amp only, B is Amp + Volume and Reverb (for lead), C is Amp + Phaser, D is Amp + Delay I too am not sure where to head next with regard to the Firehawk. I have a HD400 and an FX100 (and an Amplifi 75). Something has to go! Some differences I would like to understand though: HD400 has Line6 Port (which allows control of DT25 and DT50 amps direct from the footswitch). No such port on the Firehawk. Could you the Firehawk FX Loop but not quite the same thing. Brilliant that there is bank up and down switches though as the tapping of 2 FX100 switches to go up and down was prone to error. Independent switching for FX (5 switches) is great as it means I am not limited to just the 4 settings discussed above. Makes it 20 available I think (maybe more in combination) A big requirement for me is to be able to use the Tap function independently of the programmed tone. FX100 tone set with a delay of say 180bpm is locked into the system so I can't switch from A to D (for example) to anything other than 180bpm without tapping again and this is useless when playing live. Hopefully I can tap on intro and then just kick in the delay as required. Hopefully that makes sense. I read somewhere that the tones for Firehawk are in packs. Does this means additional purchases? Outputs look more like the HD400 on the Firehawk but FX100 outputs are comprehensive anyway (other than the Line 6 Port). Wish it had a 'kettle' lead though I guess this bulks up the pedal. Nice to have LCD of loaded tone on Firehawk. Any other advantages / disadvantages people? Which one(s) should I sell to uby the Firehawk.....if any.
  17. Finally received my first watch, it's kind of exciting. Few questions might update after more experience.
  18. hi. can someone share some views on using a POD HD paired with AMPLIFI for reharsals of even live performances. is anyone having success with that setup? the features on AMPLIFI seem quite appealing to me, but i would like to give it a kind of a dual type of use. one for bedroom rehearsals using it as it is, but i would like to use it live as my monitor using the POD's HD modelling and stomps. i've read some stuff about this idea but i'm not totally convinced as i see some people seem to report that it works very well (knowing it's a stereo model), but some others show some objections regarding the use of AUX IN. and obviously there's also the guitar in option with flat settings on the amp. what do you guys say? thanks!
  19. I read in an article about the Amplifi 75 that it is possible to change the music which is played with the app. How can I do this? I want to make the music slower to play with it, in the case I'm not able to play the guitar in the right speed ;)
  20. Hello! Upgrading my Amplifi fx100 to 2.10.00, first time (from 1.01.0). Installed Utility, plugged it in USB 3.0 port (Windows 7 64 bit). Launched in firmware update mode. Pressed Next in the update utility. Seeing "Update In Progress. Do not turn off or unplug your device at this time". Progress bar is empty and it's saying "Installing firmware update...". One hour passed with no changes. How to cancel/retry upgrade process without a risk of having entirely broken device?
  21. Hi, I'm having problems when saving a tone from My Tones to hardware (amplifi fx100). I go to my tones tab, select one tone so it's colored in red (selected), then when I choose save to hardware it throws an error message "please try again later. Your presets are currently downloading from Amplifi" Any idea of what's going on?? If someone had this issue and solved it please help. Cheers, Mike
  22. As the title says...I have a nice pair of Bluetooth headphones and would like to know if their is a way to pair them to the Amplifi TT. I was hoping this might be possible as the TT can stream to a receiver or other audio device that can receive a bluetooth audio stream. I just don't know how to pair them as neither has an interface that would allow me to put in a pin? My fear is I'll have to purchase something like this (Click here).
  23. this doesn't seem to work with the bender effect. i expected the expression pedal to adjust the pitch value. anyone know how to get this to work?
  24. Watch me play some of my owns backing tracks through the AMPLIFi. This amp sounds amazing!
  25. it would be great to be able to save individual settings for the devices in the amplifi app. so, for example, you can save your favourite settings for a tube screamer. so when you load the tube screamer and select it to see the slider menu, at the bottom of the page theres a bunch of presets you can save your self. dent need to many - maybe four or five. could be really useful. it seems to me right now if I've perfected a great reverb i love, there is no way to copy that into another tone preset - the only way i can see is to write down all the slider values and then apply it manually to the new tone your working on.
