  1. This isn't a request, this is actually a solution. Mind you the performance of your PC, will determine how usable it is. I am also pretty sure that this isn't news to some of you, I just haven't found anything yet on these forums detailing that someone else has done this. I have pictured, my desktop, with both the Windows version and the Android version (in a vbox emulator) running simultaneously. If you notice, the Android version (on the right) has usb OTG access to my 240 HC, while my PC version does not. This is because it won't let me share with usb access with the PC and the Vmachine to the same bus at the same time. When I shut down the Android emulation, it gives me USB access from the PC version. What this means is that I can download tones from the cloud, using the Android app, and by saving them to my tone bank in my Spider V, I can then shut down the Android app, and then edit said tone in Windows without having to change from a tablet/phone to my PC. Directions are forthcoming...
  2. Hey everyone ! After years of playing on a spider classic 15 i have decided to buy the spider v 30 (Cus I wanna) Im planning of getting it next month or so I've noticed that it doesn't have a port dedicated to androids, but it says pc/mac/android. Apperantly it needs an adapter or something.. My phone has a usb type c, and yes supports otg I don't know what to get only because i have a type c I want to use the app because it is alot more simple to control my settings and effects there. Please help : ) I appriciate it.... (Sorry for the bad english, im latvian)

  4. There seems to be an issue with the Firehawk Remote App for iOS (iPhones). I am part of a Facebook group that is trying to share tones using the link that the Firehawk Remote App provides. We can all share tones via link, but it seems only Android devices can actually load the tone. The problem is that iOS devices seem to have an issue loading and go to the 1A preset. Can we have some Line6 assistance here? Thanks!
  5. I recently got a Spider V 240 and I'm trying to use my Note 8 to use the spider remote. I don't understand why they isn't a normal USB port for android and computers. What type of adapter do I need to plug my normal USB having phone into the android port?

  7. Hi, I recieived my AMPLIFi 75 amp yesterday and went about updating the firmware on it last night. After a good deal of frustation (The PC app kept failing to update) I managed to update it via my Mac but now I can't connect my android device, the bluetooth connects fine and the app is clearly seeing something as it says that the firmaware isn't up-to-date and so I can't us the app to make changes. I've checked on the Mac and it shows the amp firmware as definately being 2.6 and the phone app is too. The phone I am using is the Nexus 6P. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  8. All! I have a HD500X and an Android Tablet with an ORG synthesizer install. I have OTG / USB midi cable plugged into my tablet. The sound coming out of my amp is only from my HD (As if the synthesizer did not exist). How do I make the guitar sound process on the tablet synthesizer? Is there any hardware? Is there another setting? I do not want to buy a Roland G55 for this. Adriano

  10. Hi all, I'm a new Firehawk FX owner as of yesterday. I downloaded the app to my phone (Galaxy S4), updated the firmware on the unit, and had it jamming through the P.A. in under ten minutes with full functionality from the remote app. A friend gave me a Verizon Ellipsis 7 tablet which I intended to use exclusively for the Firehawk remote since the screen is much larger than my phone's and would improve work flow and be easier to mess with on stage. I downloaded the app and connected the Bluetooth (solid blue light from the pedal's Bluetooth button) and I was able to switch patches and edit tones but I noticed I did not have certain features that I had on my phone. What I was missing: 1) The tuner could not be selected from the drop-down menu on the app. If I held the tap switch on the pedal the tuner screen would appear on the app and the tuner would work but it displayed a message saying "You must be connected to Firehawk to use this screen". 2) The master volume could not be selected from the drop-down menu. It was on the menu but it was in gray and could not be selected. 3) The "Device" selection from the drop-down menu could not be selected to view preset patches. It showed a Firehawk pedal but it was in gray and could not be selected and simply read "none" whereas that option on my phone would read "Firehawk". 4) The effects switch assign function was totally absent. If you pull up an effect block and scroll all the way to the bottom, there simply was no switch assign menu. I'm assuming that since the whole Firehawk system works flawlessly with my phone I must have a compatibility issue with this tablet or it's Bluetooth for some reason. Can anyone give me some things to try to make this work? I'd hate to blow more money on a tablet that's only going to be used exclusively for this pedal. Thanks in advance!
  11. Hey everyone! I just got a new Samsung Chromebook Plus last week. The kind that has the Google Store on it. Fingers crossed it connects to the amp right! It didn't. The app worked. I could connect (bluetooth) to the amp. But the app didn't recognize the Amp. I did a search online and there was no support for this, so everyone else has it figured out, or no one has done it yet. Yay for individualism. I created a help ticket with Line 6 and we figured it out. Once the Amp is connected to your Chromebook, open Amplifi and Click settings, Device Selection Check the box for Show Advanced Routing In Tone Editing, Click your Amp That's what I did and it works now.
  12. Purchased a used FX100 at substantial savings and this is my third day w/the unit. Day one- Download and install both Line6 Updater and usb driver- check Update to ver 2.50.2. -check Update again in update mode- check Factory reset and pedal calibration- check Test Bluetooth connectivity, positive response w/both Galaxy7 and Galaxy tablet(SM-T230NU)- Check Test all factory presets- check Test all functions including pedal, tuner, audio playback, editing, saving, and sharing patches to cloud- check Day Two- Jam for a few hours and have fun playing w/different settings- check Connect unit to Windows10 PC and test connectivity to DAW(REAPER) w/positive response- check Day Three- Fire unit up and try to connect Bluetooth first to tablet and then to phone- FAIL Test Bluetooth functionality w/both devices on BT speaker w/positive response- Check Go to forum and post troubles- check I'm at my wits end. Tried clearing all devices and restarting all components. Failed like 6 times. Please, I need a solution, good people of the Line6 community. Thanx edit hours later- This is the RECing I did using the fx100. But the only patch off the unit is the rhythm guitar(2D: Wind Cries Mary). The bass sounded horrible patching through an empty user bank so I had to connect my UX2 interface and used a Guitar Rig5 patch. The lead is run through a blank patch in the 100 and into GR5. I couldn't find a decent sounding preset for the lead. Woulda been nice to configure one of my own. I used a clean vibrato for the lead. "Beach Party" http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=13539765
  13. hi I bought device on internet a week ago and I got today. and when I trying to update on computer, but it's not working constantly with some reason( I don't know what is problem... (I did follow their saying 100%) -One interesting things, to make updating mode, I turned on, pressing A and C, BUT It should be appeared 'updating...' but it shows FX S&Q. what the heck is it? so I tried to update on tablet which is android, but it says, "Firehawk Remote has lost its data connection to the device". and It's not working. besides I tried with iphone, I can't even open firehawk remote.,, I did any answer from line6 page which is forgetting device(bluetooth), reinstall the app, anything. Plus-+ my version is 1.01. (I think it's the lowest version.) please help me. thanks
  14. You may have noticed a feature in the Settings Menus on the Firehawk/Amplifi Remote app called Advanced Routing. This feature helps manage having multiple Firehawk/Amplifi devices when connected, so you could Airplay music to another Bluetooth device while still controlling tones on a particular device. It would allow you to airplay the music stream to something other than the Firehawk/Amplifi, while still controlling tones on the unit. If you pair two Firehawk/Amplifi to a single mobile device, you should see some additional options as well.

Spider Remote Android Connection Troubleshooting While app/amp connections of Spider Remote on iOS are relatively simple, on Android, USB connections to devices like Spider V are more complicated. Not only are some Android devices wholly incompatible with USB host mode (required for connection to Spider V), some are only partially compatible, or exhibit bad behavior under some circumstances. Furthermore, there are important permissions-related actions that you must take, in order to enjoy the best user experience, and to ensure that firmware updating via Spider Remote Android works correctly. This guide assumes you have at least Spider Remote v1.0.2, so please make sure you have the latest version before proceeding. Testing the Device for Compatibility with USB Host Mode If an Android device does not support USB host mode, it cannot connect to Spider V amps. If you are having trouble connecting to your amp, the first step should be to run one of the free Android applications that will test a device’s compatibility with USB host mode. For example, the application USB Host Diagnostics has thus far proven to be entirely accurate. Here’s a link to download that app. https://play.google.com/store/search?q=usb%20host%20diagnostics&c=apps&hl=en Giving the Proper Permission to the Device To make your Android device work with your Spider V amp, you must first give permission. To carry out this action when the amp is first connected; the following dialogue box will appear. You then check the box ‘Use by default for this USB device’ and then press OK. Problems with Termination on Some Devices On certain devices, such as the Galaxy S6, we’ve seen some trouble with the app and amp connection. It manifests itself as the app crashing and temporarily losing USB capability. Dealing with Troublesome Devices Unfortunately, not every Android device can be tested. Problematic devices generally fall into one of two categories. 1. A connection is not possible. In this case, the device almost definitely does not fully-support USB host mode. Unfortunately this is out of Line 6’s control. If you think you have USB host mode, please run the USB Host Diagnostics app mentioned above. 2. Connections are possible, but the device’s USB port sometime ‘hangs’. This behavior might be noticed as the inability to charge the device after a successful prior connection, or even the inability to access it from a desktop computer. In this case, you are most likely experiencing the situation above described in ‘Problems with Termination on Some Devices’. Here are some best practices to minimize the issue. If you find yourself in this state, it is necessary to restart the device. Some devices may require a hard-restart of the Android, the method of which may vary among manufactures. On such problematic devices, and in the case where you must force-quit the Spider Remote application, you should also first sever the connection between the Android device and the amp. Do this by either powering off the Spider V, or by removing the USB cable. Once the amp connection is severed, if will be safe to force-quite the application. Note that the app will briefly display (at the top of the screen) ‘Device Not Connected’ when the connection is severed, and also when the device is not connected and the user presses the USB icon in the action bar.

We’ve found that with certain new product launches, it’s helpful to keep a running thread of your experiences with connecting various Android mobile devices, whether it works or not. With such a wide variance in offerings and specs, it’s impossible for us to test all of them, so maybe this thread will help answer some customer questions, while possibly helping Line 6 spot issues/trends with a given group of devices. Here is the Spider V / Android Device USB Compatibility Check article that should help you find out if your device support USB Host Mode, which is required for the Spider V Remote app to communicate with Spider V amplifiers.   18. Some Android mobile devices do not fully support "USB Host mode", which is required for the Spider V Remote app to communicate with Spider V amplifiers. We have found that a free third party utility app called "USB Host Diagnostics" reliably identifies potential issues with USB Host mode support. This tutorial will guide you through the process. Access the Google Play store and search for "USB Host Diagnostics" made by a developer called "Chainfire". The app is offered free of charge. Download and install it. Launch "USB Host Diagnostics". The screen should look like this: Locate the "Start diagnostics" text and tap it to start. The app will ask you to disconnect USB devices. Disconnect any USB devices and click the OK button. The diagnostic process will start and the app will ask you to connect a USB device such as a laptop or a USB thumb drive. After a few seconds the process completes and you will be asked to upload results. Uploading is appreciated, but not necessary. On the final screen you will be able to see the test results. Scroll down to locate the "Verdict" section. In order for your Android device to work with Spider V, "OS" must report "Yes", and "3rd party apps" must report "Full".
  19. Hello guys ! I'm wondering if there is a way to use the Helix as a midi controller for an Android/iPad tablet in order to turn pages on PDF files. The aim is to turn the pages of my lyrics files stored on the tablet. This would be great, and would let me avoid the buying of a specific pedal for this.
  20. I've had a 150 since Dec 2015. It's been a pretty good amp so far, and I really like it. Just lately I've noticed that I have to manually connect my phone to it. When I power up the amp, the bluetooth light on it just doesn't come on at all. I have to push that button, then manually select it on my phone. A lot of the time I don't bother using it with my phone, since I have a FBV Shortboard MKII, but when I want to it's a bit of a pain to have to start fiddling with the amp and phone before it pairs up. Thoughts?

Please be aware that with the current AMPLIFi and Firehawk remote apps, connection problems can occur if the Bluetooth device is paired after the app has been opened. In this scenario, we suggest that you: fully quit the app (double click the home button and swipe the app off the dock) pair over Bluetooth launch the app CLICK HERE for a video tutorial on Bluetooth Pairing your AMPLIFi/Firehawk. To pair the AMPLIFi/Firehawk with your Bluetooth device: Enable Bluetooth on the device you would like to stream audio from. Put the AMPLIFi/Firehawk into Pairing Mode by pressing and holding the Bluetooth button located on the upper left of the top panel. It will begin to flash quickly to indicate it is in Pairing Mode, and the Master Volume knob LEDs will change from solid red to flashing white. Within the Bluetooth options of your mobile device, an entry for AMPLIFi/Firehawk will appear. Select the AMPLIFi/Firehawk entry and pair with it. The Bluetooth LED will stop flashing and become solidly lit blue. Your AMPLIFi/Firehawk is now ready stream audio from your device and work with the Remote app. If you are experiencing unexpected Bluetooth performance such as audio playback drop outs, intermittent connectivity between your AMPLIFi/Firehawk and its Remote app, decreased range, or difficulty finding, pairing, and connecting to your Bluetooth device, you most likely are encountering interference with your Bluetooth connection. Here are some common sources of Bluetooth interference: Physical barriers such as the structure/material of the environment or objects in the surrounding area that are within the line of sight between the two devices. Any wireless device that operate in the 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz frequency range. Wi-Fi devices, routers, hotspots, and accessories. Other Bluetooth devices or accessories. Direct Satellite Service system Extreme electrical sources such as power lines, electrical railroad tracks, and power stations. Try the following troubleshooting steps in the order they are listed to help minimize the amount of Bluetooth interference you are experiencing. Please refer to the Bluetooth pairing instructions above when following the troubleshooting steps below: Quit AMPLIFi remote by double clicking the home button and swiping the app up off the dock, then restart the app. Make sure you are in range of the Bluetooth accessory with which you are trying to pair with as most Bluetooth accessories have a range of around 30 feet. Move your iOS device closer to the Bluetooth accessory. Reposition your AMPLIFi/Firehawk so that it is in direct line of sight with the Bluetooth device you are pairing it with. Remove the case, stand, or accessories you are using with your Bluetooth device. Double check that your device is successfully paired with your AMPLIFi/Firehawk. Delete/forget your AMPLIFi/Firehawk device from the list of available Bluetooth devices. Press and hold the Bluetooth button on the upper left of the top panel for 2-3 seconds and let go; it should begin to blink quickly to indicate that your AMPLIFi/Firehawk is in Pairing mode. Try again to pair your Bluetooth device with the AMPLIFi/Firehawk. Disable Bluetooth on the device you are using with your AMPLIFi/Firehawk, re-enable Bluetooth on the device and re-pair it with your AMPLIFi/Firehawk. Make sure the power cable in the AMPLIFi/Firehawk is firmly connected. Turn your AMPLIFi/Firehawk off and back on again, re-pair it with your Bluetooth device. Make sure that you have updated your AMPLIFi/Firehawk to the latest available firmware. For instructions on how to update your AMPLIFi's firmware, click HERE. Check for your environment for the common sources interference above of and move both the AMPLIFi/Firehawk and your Bluetooth device away from the interference or the source of interference away from the area. On iOS devices, you can reset network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Note: This will reset all network settings including: previously connected Wi-Fi networks and passwords, recently used Bluetooth accessories, VPN, and APN settings. Versuchen Sie Folgendes in der angegebenen Reihenfolge um Bluetooth Interferenzen zu minimieren: Stellen Sie sicher, dass Sie mit Ihrem Bluetooth Gerät in der Nähe des AMPLIFi befinden. Die meisten Bluetooth Geräte haben eine Bluetooth Reichweite von ca. 9 Metern. Platzieren Sie Ihr iOS Gerät näher ans AMPLIFi. Sollte Ihr AMPLIFi auf Ihrem Bluetooth Gerät als Nicht Verbunden oder Nicht Gekoppelt angezeigt werden, versuchen Sie das Gerät aus der Liste der zur Verfügung stehenden Bluetooth Geräte zu löschen. Could anyone point out how i'm supposed to find this elusive piece of software. ive registered the amp,. can find amplify 75, but for all my efforts i cant find a piece of software called amplifi utility

    Firehawk Effects Blocks Basics In the Firehawk Remote editor, there are 12 effects blocks that you can turn on and off, and assign different models and parameters to. Some of them can be dragged to different locations, some can't. Of these twelve blocks, only five of them can be assigned as: Drives and Dynamics Mods Delays Filters, Synths and Pitch A quick way to tell which three can be assigned these effects types is that they have a border around them: Notice Stomp, Synth and Mod all are bordered. However, Reverb is selected, so its border is brighter. Here's how to change the effect type of those three blocks: 1. Select one of the three blocks by touching it. In this example, we'll select Stomp. 2. The effect will then show the effect type (in this case, "stomp"), the effect name ("Facial Fuzz"), and a power button to the right to turn the effect on or off. Touch the effect type to change it. 3. You'll then see a "Type" button. Touch it. 4. The block types then appear. Choose one. 5. The block has been changed. There is no restriction on the number of similar effect types or effects assigned to these three blocks. Three stomps, each with a Fuzz Pi on it? Knock yourself out! Just don't forget to save your tone (cloud icon, then disc icon).
  25. Hi everyone, Does anyone know if there is a way to do USB recording without having the record stream have the music library track layered on top of the guitar? I like to have just the guitar recorded, but also be able to listen to the music library track I am playing at the same time through my headphones. Is there an easy way to achieve this that I am not considering? Also, does anyone have any tips for the easiest way to align multiple recordings, say for lead and rhythm guitar individual recordings. I have been using audacity but no matter how hard I try I always get that slight delay that produces an echo effect. Thank you.
