  1. Hi, I'm wondering if there's any way to record from the amplifi to an Android device; either by USB or Bluetooth. Thanks for any advice.
  2. Hi all, I'm a new Firehawk FX owner as of yesterday. I downloaded the app to my phone (Galaxy S4), updated the firmware on the unit, and had it jamming through the P.A. in under ten minutes with full functionality from the remote app. A friend gave me a Verizon Ellipsis 7 tablet which I intended to use exclusively for the Firehawk remote since the screen is much larger than my phone's and would improve work flow and be easier to mess with on stage. I downloaded the app and connected the Bluetooth (solid blue light from the pedal's Bluetooth button) and I was able to switch patches and edit tones but I noticed I did not have certain features that I had on my phone. What I was missing: 1) The tuner could not be selected from the drop-down menu on the app. If I held the tap switch on the pedal the tuner screen would appear on the app and the tuner would work but it displayed a message saying "You must be connected to Firehawk to use this screen". 2) The master volume could not be selected from the drop-down menu. It was on the menu but it was in gray and could not be selected. 3) The "Device" selection from the drop-down menu could not be selected to view preset patches. It showed a Firehawk pedal but it was in gray and could not be selected and simply read "none" whereas that option on my phone would read "Firehawk". 4) The effects switch assign function was totally absent. If you pull up an effect block and scroll all the way to the bottom, there simply was no switch assign menu. I'm assuming that since the whole Firehawk system works flawlessly with my phone I must have a compatibility issue with this tablet or it's Bluetooth for some reason. Can anyone give me some things to try to make this work? I'd hate to blow more money on a tablet that's only going to be used exclusively for this pedal. Thanks in advance!
  3. Purchased a used FX100 at substantial savings and this is my third day w/the unit. Day one- Download and install both Line6 Updater and usb driver- check Update to ver 2.50.2. -check Update again in update mode- check Factory reset and pedal calibration- check Test Bluetooth connectivity, positive response w/both Galaxy7 and Galaxy tablet(SM-T230NU)- Check Test all factory presets- check Test all functions including pedal, tuner, audio playback, editing, saving, and sharing patches to cloud- check Day Two- Jam for a few hours and have fun playing w/different settings- check Connect unit to Windows10 PC and test connectivity to DAW(REAPER) w/positive response- check Day Three- Fire unit up and try to connect Bluetooth first to tablet and then to phone- FAIL Test Bluetooth functionality w/both devices on BT speaker w/positive response- Check Go to forum and post troubles- check I'm at my wits end. Tried clearing all devices and restarting all components. Failed like 6 times. Please, I need a solution, good people of the Line6 community. Thanx edit hours later- This is the RECing I did using the fx100. But the only patch off the unit is the rhythm guitar(2D: Wind Cries Mary). The bass sounded horrible patching through an empty user bank so I had to connect my UX2 interface and used a Guitar Rig5 patch. The lead is run through a blank patch in the 100 and into GR5. I couldn't find a decent sounding preset for the lead. Woulda been nice to configure one of my own. I used a clean vibrato for the lead. "Beach Party" http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=13539765
  4. Hey everyone! I just got a new Samsung Chromebook Plus last week. The kind that has the Google Store on it. Fingers crossed it connects to the amp right! It didn't. The app worked. I could connect (bluetooth) to the amp. But the app didn't recognize the Amp. I did a search online and there was no support for this, so everyone else has it figured out, or no one has done it yet. Yay for individualism. I created a help ticket with Line 6 and we figured it out. Once the Amp is connected to your Chromebook, open Amplifi and Click settings, Device Selection Check the box for Show Advanced Routing In Tone Editing, Click your Amp That's what I did and it works now.
  5. hi I bought device on internet a week ago and I got today. and when I trying to update on computer, but it's not working constantly with some reason( I don't know what is problem... (I did follow their saying 100%) -One interesting things, to make updating mode, I turned on, pressing A and C, BUT It should be appeared 'updating...' but it shows FX S&Q. what the heck is it? so I tried to update on tablet which is android, but it says, "Firehawk Remote has lost its data connection to the device". and It's not working. besides I tried with iphone, I can't even open firehawk remote.,, I did any answer from line6 page which is forgetting device(bluetooth), reinstall the app, anything. Plus-+ my version is 1.01. (I think it's the lowest version.) please help me. thanks
  6. You may have noticed a feature in the Settings Menus on the Firehawk/Amplifi Remote app called Advanced Routing. This feature helps manage having multiple Firehawk/Amplifi devices when connected, so you could Airplay music to another Bluetooth device while still controlling tones on a particular device. It would allow you to airplay the music stream to something other than the Firehawk/Amplifi, while still controlling tones on the unit. If you pair two Firehawk/Amplifi to a single mobile device, you should see some additional options as well.
  7. I've had a 150 since Dec 2015. It's been a pretty good amp so far, and I really like it. Just lately I've noticed that I have to manually connect my phone to it. When I power up the amp, the bluetooth light on it just doesn't come on at all. I have to push that button, then manually select it on my phone. A lot of the time I don't bother using it with my phone, since I have a FBV Shortboard MKII, but when I want to it's a bit of a pain to have to start fiddling with the amp and phone before it pairs up. Thoughts?
  8. So, anyone who has been following the development of Windows 10 (which is mere weeks away from release) would know that Microsoft has developed special tools for an effortless way for developers to "port" Android/iOS apps to Windows 10 devices. I know there were no plans earlier to release Amplifi Remote for Windows, either for mobile or desktop. But now, with Windows 10 making it so easy to just use the existing code (from the above link - "Candy Crush Saga as it exists today on Windows Phone has been converted from iOS code using Microsoft’s tools without many modifications."), should the Windows Phone and PC users among us have some hope for a release? Hey, you guys did it for Apple Watch. :) Unless I've understood wrong, since apps are almost "universal" in Win10, a mobile app AND a PC software can be made by basically re-using your existing code. I'm just trying to repeatedly point out that this will take little effort, and will have HUGE advantages, both for your users and your company. ;)
  9. Unable to connect Samsung S5 to amplifi FX100,
  10. Hello, I just migrated from iOS to Android. I have an Amplifi FX100 and an Android phone. The FX100 has all the current firmware updates and my Android app is updated as well. In the app, when I go to Music Library, all I see are some alert tones for my Weather Channel app and Google Hangouts. There is no music in there whatsoever. I do have music downloaded to my Play Music app, but it doesn't show up in my Amplifi app. What am I doing wrong, or does the Android version of the app not support tone matching? Thanks in advance for the help. - Jeff
  11. Hi everyone, Does anyone know if there is a way to do USB recording without having the record stream have the music library track layered on top of the guitar? I like to have just the guitar recorded, but also be able to listen to the music library track I am playing at the same time through my headphones. Is there an easy way to achieve this that I am not considering? Also, does anyone have any tips for the easiest way to align multiple recordings, say for lead and rhythm guitar individual recordings. I have been using audacity but no matter how hard I try I always get that slight delay that produces an echo effect. Thank you.
  12. Hi all, I've got a combination of: Google Nexus 4 running Android 5.1.1 Amplifi Remote app v2.13.0 Amplifi 75 v 2.10.0 I can connect to the unit using Bluetooth, and play audio out, but the Amplifi never shows up as a connected device. If I go to settings, I get a message of "It appears you are connected to an AMPLIFi device, but its firmware is not up to date. Please update your AMPLIFi" PC based Amplifi Utility confirms it's on latest firmware. Any suggestions?
  13. Hi Everyone, I'm seriously considering to buy the Amplifi 75 and also the FBV Shortboard MKII. I've been reading the threads here and I must say I don't feel confident enough to buy them because I don't have a service center or anything nearby I can return them to. Once I buy them, they are with me for life. As I read, after the 2.x firmware update, Android can control the Amplifi as well. Could you tell me anything about this? Are there connectivity issues or anything else? How has been your experience so far? I have an Android phone (Xiaomi MI3), I'm hoping this will work with it but ideally I'd like to use my Microsoft Surface Pro 3 with an Android emulator running on it to emulate a tablet. Or is there another way to control it from Windows (10)? Are there any major differences between the phone and tablet version of the app? Despite all the problems people are experiencing, are they worth to buy? Thank you in advance. Cheers!
  14. Hi, I have an Amplifi TT and I am using the android app to connect to the amp. My questions is that how do I set a Bank to the amp other than Bank 1 When my amp is paired, I can access the hardware screen In the screen I can see 25 banks I can select the individual tones that I want from the screen but how can I assign a specific bank to the amp When I assign a tone via the hardware screen and then use the physical tone button on the amp to switch It goes to the back to the tones on bank 1 Is this not possible through the android remote app? Thanks
  15. Are there any plans to create an Android version of Mobile POD? I just purchased a Sonic Port VX as a recording interface for my PC and am pretty satisfied with it so far. However, I have never been a fan of iOS, so it would be really cool if there was Mobile POD app for Android as well. Just curious because I noticed that Amplifi recently came out on Android.
  16. I just got the Firehawk and was fiddling with the remote app on my iPhone. I then decided to use a larger interface and grabbed my Galaxy Tab3 (Android). I was trying to see if I could use the Now Playing song to match possible patches (which worked on the iPhone). When i go to the Now Playing in the remote app on my tablet... it doesn't appear to find any songs on the device (even if i am plying a song in the background). Is this an iOS only feature right now? Thanks, Bryan
  17. I use a 10" Android tablet on stage, mounted conveniently on my mic stand. It's loaded with all the band's music (40+ arrangements (and getting bigger), chords and lyrics). This needs just a touch to move from one song page to the next. I also have a Line 6 Spider IV 75 amp which has several different tones in the user banks for different songs. Even though I have set the amp up as efficiently as possible in the set running order, it's a pain (and unprofessional) turning my back to the audience to change the setting - more so when the amp is on the backline and I'm at the front of the stage. I've thought about using one of the FBV boards but I think this would be almost as bad as I'd be always staring down at the floor to change the amp settings. With the release of the new Amplifi TT, which, I gather, has wireless connectivity, I was wondering if, with a suitable app, the Amplifi TT could be mounted on top of, and used in conjunction with the SpiderIV so that I could control the amp tone settings from the tablet. Ideally, I'd want an icon on the song page that I could just touch and which would remotely change the amp to the required tone setting. Can this be done with the Amplifi TT connected to a Spider IV? If not, how could it be done?
  18. Hi, Hope this gets picked up and put forward to Line6 as a suggestion. I tried with the suggestion link on the site but awaiting an account approval of some sort..just wanted to give feedback. I have a Spider IV 75w and FBV Shortboard MKII. Want to get a G50 relay at some point but they are way out of my budget. Great products though. Very impressed with the purchases and the free firmware upgrades. Hope they keep these updating for free as it was the main reason I bought the amp. Would be great to see a Spider Edit web application service either run locally on a WLAN or on the cloud. Obviously would require a USB/Wireless Lan Adapter dongle to connect to the FBV Shortboard MKII USB "B" port connection and initial configuration to connect to the server IP address. I have an Android tablet and would prefer the ability to use that than connect to another computer in an office running Windows 7 when my guitar and amp are in the shed normally. Surely this can be achieved with HTML 5. Just a thought and hope this makes it's way to the suggestions box for some positive feedback to Line 6. Cheers, Alkay.

  20. I still own a PODxt Live (and separate expression pedal), both still in pristine condition. B) I WANT to buy an AMPLIFi 150 for all its creamy goodness, as a major upgrade to my current practice amp. Can't wait to demo the amp at the nearby Guitar Center. I'm NOT crazy about also immediately buying a new FBV Shortboard MkII or other new foot controller / expression pedal to access the AMPLIFi's 100 onboard presets (when the Android device is not in play). I've already downloaded the new AMPLIFi Remote 2.0 (Android) app. Tested one side -- mobile phone only, without the LINE 6 hardware in the room. My new Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is not yet listed as officially "supported", but automatic music library recognition/acquisition, tone discovery, creation and editing all work like a charm, smooth as butter -- GREAT JOB LINE 6 !!. QUESTION: Can my PODxt Live's foot switches (BANK UP / DOWN and A, B, C, D) control the AMPLIFi's 100 onboard presets in the same manner that they control the PODxt's onboard presets? In other words, can the PODxt be used ONLY as a foot controller for the AMPLIFi, adding/subtracting nothing from the AMPLIFi's signal chain? If so, what are the required connnections? Firmware updates? Thanks in advance to ANYONE who has a reliable answer! Cheers!
  21.
