If you run the standalone app and don't get any audio output from your interface, the root cause is likely that your Mac is not allowing Metallurgy to use its mic. During the installation or upon launch of the Metallurgy standalone app, if prompted to allow Metallurgy to access the computer’s microphone, click OK. You can also manually edit this setting within the Mac’s System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy tab - Microphone settings.

Hi everyone, Previously, I have used my POD Go in combination with my laptop (Windows 10) via USB. I was able to automatically get my Windows sound to play through my POD Go, and hear both desktop audio and my guitar via the headphones output. I could jam along with YouTube backing tracks playing from my PC without any issues. Now, on my new PC (Windows 11), I do not seem to be able to get the audio from my PC to play through my POD Go using USB at all. My POD Go is recognized by the POD Go edit software. I've installed the drivers both automatically with the Edit software, and later on individually as well in an attempt to solve the issue. The POD Go is fully up to date (Firmware 1.4). I'm not sure if it's supposed to, but the POD Go doesn't show up in my output sound devices. I am not using any DAW software and am only trying to use my POD Go in combination with desktop audio. I am aware of the aux in workaround, but would prefer using the already existing USB connection. If you happen to know what is going wrong, or if I can provide any additional information to clarify the situation, please let me know!

Hey guys, been searching for a while and haven't found anything about this. So, the thing is I'm looking for an audio interface to record my actual amp with a microfone. The thing is that, sometimes, I like to play quietly, using just headphones or want different flavors or just jam and play with different tones than my amp is able to provide. Would the POD Pro translate the mic signal well enough or is it possible that it adds something, some color to the sound? Should I go for an m-audio or a focusrite instead and use an amp sim?

I’ve used my iPhone as an audio input into the USB port of my HX stomp to play along with backing tracks and songs. Since I updated to 3.0 (now 3.01) the iPhone won’t play sound through the USB into the Stomp, but instead keeps playing through its built-in speakers. The USB on the Stomp works, I can play audio from my laptop, just not from an iPhone or iPad. Any clues as to what might be going on?

I have Toneport UX2 and am trying to record onto OBS. When acting as a sound card (i.e. watching a video), OBS picks up the audio. But when I try to record guitar or mic the sound does not get picked up. I've tried everything I can think of . Presently I record the video onto OBS and the audio into Sonar, then export the audio into OBS. Then I have to line up video and audio manually. Please can someone help me solve this problem.

In trying to use my HD500x as an audio interface, the audio level is EXTREMELY low... barely audible. Anyone else experiencing this or have a fix for it?

Scenario: I have my Focusrite audio interface setup as my In/Out device Audio settings. I have my HX Stomp connected to the Mac via USB. I do not want to use the Stomp as an audio interface. So, I turn on the Focusrite, launch Logic, all is good. The Focusrite shows up under Audio device as my in/out. However, when I turn on the Stomp, Logic “grabs” it and makes it my Audio device. I can’t find a way to stop logic from recognizing the Stomp as the Audio device. I would like to use HX Edit with the Stomp, but not have it be my audio device. Current work around is to unplug the USB cable and only plug it in when I need it. But it just seems that there must be a way to stop Logic from using it as an Audio device but still allow HX Edit to be usable with the Stomp. many help would be greatly appreciated. Mac using Catalina and current Logic Pro. Stomp is current firmware.

Hey Guys! I got my hands on a HX Stomp and today we are going to run through how to get up and running using it as your audio interface on a Windows 10 PC and with Presonus Studio One 4.0 I walk you through setup and how to record the processed guitar as well as the DI or, Direct Input so that you can reamp at a later time.

Hi All, I created a patch for Linux Kernel 5.3 to enable HX stomp/Helix I need some help to confirm that is working properly. In particular would be really helpful if you can try the kernel 5.3 and confirm the USB ID for Helix devices case USB_ID(0x0E41, 0x4242): /* Line6 Helix Rack */ case USB_ID(0x0E41, 0x4244): /* Line6 Helix LT */ case USB_ID(0x0E41, 0x4246): /* Line6 HX-Stomp */ case USB_ID(0x0E41, 0x424a): /* Line6 Helix LT - firmware >= 2.8 */ This is displayed in dmesg when the device is discovered (open dmesg -w and then plug the device) [ 322.404503] usb 1-6: new high-speed USB device number 13 using xhci_hcd [ 322.531804] usb 1-6: New USB device found, idVendor=0e41, idProduct=4246, bcdDevice= 2.00 [ 322.531806] usb 1-6: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=3, SerialNumber=2 [ 322.531806] usb 1-6: Product: HX Stomp [ 322.531807] usb 1-6: Manufacturer: LINE 6 [ 322.531808] usb 1-6: SerialNumber: 3021888 [ 322.535789] usb 1-6: parse_audio_format_rates_v2v3(): unable to retrieve number of sample rates (clock 16) [ 322.535907] usb 1-6: parse_audio_format_rates_v2v3(): unable to retrieve number of sample rates (clock 16) In particular if the device is supported the last two lines will show as unable to retrieve number of sample rates set it to default as 48Khz What I need is a list of helix like devices and the list of idVendor, IdProduct. Can you help me? Also for Line6 did the new update to support the new Mac Os X bring some news for Linux Users as well?? Thanks Nick

I am not getting any audio out of my Pocket Pod 1.0. I bought it about 6 months ago and was working great until tonight. I plugged my guitar and headphones in and I was getting static and changes in static as I was adjusting the controls on the device. I also checked the cord and no trouble there. I only use it at home and not sure why it suddenly stopped working. Has anyone else ever experienced this?

I have been using a Pod X3 Live for about 4 years. It was bought 2nd hand so its well out of date now, and parts cannot be easily obtained in the UK. Last year the power supply went down totally and my techie boffin pal rigged up a workaround, because the parts to reinstate it were not available. He did warn me that it may not be economic to repair again and would probably blow again. Anyway it suddenly stopped dead and went blank a week ago, admittedly after I had been perhaps over-enthusiastically wa-wa-ing, (which might be a clue?). I smelled burning so something shorted out. My boffin pal had a look and tells me its all powering up OK, and there is no obvious burned out part visible, but there is no audio output at all! Its probably bound for the scrap heap to be replaced by a second hand HD500X off ebay, but I'm wondering if anyone knows if there might be a simple fix for this? My immediate thought is either that the sound output power supply (on the board?) has blown, or its something to do with the expression pedal failing. A second question is whether I will be able to load in my setups via Gearbox into the HD500X? I think so, but nobody I have asked knows for sure. It would be so great not to have to reinvent the wheel!

No Input - MacOS Mojave 10.14
Line6Kody posted a article in Computer Audio Set Up and Troubleshooting
Apple's new OS Mojave 10.14, has implemented a new security feature that can block input signals if not allowed access. Once a user has launched a DAW or stand alone plugin for the first time after the Mojave update, they will prompted to "allow mic access." If mic access is denied, user will not be able to receive an input via the specified software. To manually approve your software navigate to: System Preferences > Security and Privacy > Privacy > Microphone From this menu, user will be granted the ability to approve any software that was previously denied.-

usb Can't hear audio from computer (YouTube, etc) via Helix output
Lawrence23 posted a topic in Helix
I have followed the directions in the Helix manual as well as searched the forum and googled, but I cannot get music playing via YouTube or other player on my computer to play through the Helix. The manual says I can play along with YouTube or other player, but I cannot get it to work. I have USB hooked up and can see that there is audio playing via the Helix speaker in Windows (10) audio control panel, but I cannot hear it through my speakers that are connected via XLR output from the Helix. Both the input and output of the Helix are set to Multi, per instructions. Anyone know of a solution? -

Hi there, I use my POD HD 500 as sound interface and it's been a few weeks I'm experiencing this issue: by no apparent reason the sound goes off and the only way I've found to fix this is to restart the computer (I tried disabling / re-enabling the POD as an audio interface, unplugging and plugging it again, both power and USB, nothing happens). If i'm listening to something in Youtube or Winamp, the player stops and can't play further, but strangely, if I'm working in Reaper (using ASIO drivers), I can still play things normally inside it. I have no clue why this is happening, it's the same Windows install for a while, although I'm guessing it's something to do with some recent Windows update maybe. Is there anybody else having this problem? My specs: POD HD 500 Windows 10 Pro x64 AMD Phenom II X6 1090T 4 Gb RAM ddr3 1600 Asus m4a89td GeForce 260GTX 1Tb HD* All drivers / softwares / firmware are up-to-date in Line6 Monkey. * I have only 5Gb left in my Windows partition, need to fix this, but I don't really see how this can cause the audio problem Thanks in advance

I have set up the VSTs for for Podfarm in Reaper. I am currently running EZdrummer 2 and importing drum tracks easily; however, I am having issues recording through the Podfarm VST. I cannot hear my guitar when I'm playing along with the drum track, whether recording is armed or not; however, the track does pick up the signal when recording and when I hit playback, I can hear the guitar tone through Podfarm. The problem is that it is nearly impossible (at least for me) to record along with a drumbeat without being able to hear my guitar. How do I set up Reaper so that I can hear myself both when I am recording and when the recording is being played back? PS, this is my absolute first time attempting home recording, so I am an extreme beginner.

I'm using the latest updates on OSX, drivers, softwares and helix and you know, everything. When reamping helix in logic the audio starts to cut and pop and mess up after a while. First a little and gradually more and more. It helps when I initialize the core audio from preferences > audio settings. The I/O buffer is at full 1024 Why do I have to keep doing this? It does kill the workflow and sometimes recording the reamp is ruined.

Hey Everyone, I've been trying to get assistance out of Line 6 but it has been about as productive as asking a brick wall to sort out my drama's so I thought I'd give this a shot. Recently bought a new laptop (Dell Inspiron 15 7000) and for some reason whenever I open POD Farm all other audio is muted. I have the UX2 selected as the playback device and all audio plays through the device until I open POD Farm. As soon as I open the app all external audio stops and even if I hit play in iTunes or Guitar Pro there is silence. If I close POD Farm the audio cuts back in. I have looked through settings in POD Farm and can't seem to find anything. Never had this drama previously with an old crappy HP laptop. Basically just want to be able to jam to some songs whilst playing but it seems I can only have one audio source playing. I am using the Tone direct drivers and not ASIO4ALL. Have tried using ASIO4ALL but the audio doesn't come through as clear and seems like there is a higher latency. Anyone ever had this drama?

I just bought a used Line 6 POD 2.0 for my brother-in-law because he liked the convenience I have at home of just plugging my guitar into my POD and having the sound come out of my computer for learning songs from the internet or on mp3 file. My home setup is to use a regular guitar cable from the Left output of my POD 2.0, convert it into a stereo 3.5mm mini jack before my computer and plug the stereo mini plug into my computer's 3.5mm line-in jack. I have the direct/A.I.R switch on the POD set to direct mode. I use the Realtek audio card built into my motherboard and I have the line-in enabled in my computer sound settings. I'm running WIN7 and I use Audacity for any recording but mostly I use it just to have the ability to play and modify my guitar sound while it's coming out of my computer speakers. The problem is it turns out my brother's computer is a DELL All-in-one computer with WIN10, DOES NOT have a physical line in jack and only has 4 USB inputs, one speaker-out jack (in which he has installed a couple of Bose speakers) and one mini-headphone jack. "No problem" I thought - we'll convert the POD 2.0 1/4" out to a USB. I got him to purchase an Alesis Guitarlink cable that converts the regular guitar cable 1/4" to USB for supposedly plugging guitar directly into computer USB. The cable has a red LED on the USB end that lights up when it makes connection. The cable lit up as it was supposed to but nothing comes out the speakers. A look at his computer sound settings shows under the recording tab his realtek audio card and two other recording devices, "stereo mix" and the USB port. No matter which one I select as default - I can get all of them to show strong incoming signal when the guitar is strummed (bars go to max) but none of them output sound to the speakers. There is no 'line-in' listed in the recording devices tab as my own computer has. The 'properties' of each of the recording devices listed show volume level turned up and the 'listen' box checked. Very frustrating! I tried setting his POD direct/A.I.R switch to both settings and it made no difference. Music files play fine on his computer. Any ideas?

Hello, I've gone straight into my Helix via USB from my mac - just to play audio to play along with and it works perfectly. Has anyone done the same with a Nexus 5X. I have a OTG connector, I've tried the USB audio player pro app, but no joy. My Nexus can see the Helix I just can't get sound to play from USB. Any thoughts? Tips? would be much appreciated. Cheers Mark

Hello guys, I recently had to return a Amplifi FX 100 due to audio playback glitches / jitter when streaming via bluetooth from my android devices (phone and tablet). Do this issues exist in the Firehawk FX or any other bluetooth issues with android for that matter? Thank you in advance, Pedro

I've recently bought both a TBP12 transmitter and a G30 receiver. Both are set to RF1. When they are both set to the same channel, the receiver shows full red bar (indicating a lot of interference). This goes away when they are both on different channels, or the transmitter is turned off. This suggests to me that the receiver is recognising my transmitter as interference. Wondering if anyone has had a similar issue or a fix for this? Thanks
