  1. My band is doing Elton John's "Rocket Man". There are big slide effects here and there throughout the song that I want to emulate on my Helix Floor. I've got the Poly Pitch sounding great. It is set up to do a 4-beat octave slide-up at the touch of a momentary stomp button. I've got a few more quicker ones that go down. All bring up the reverb. So far so good. Now I want to add an automated semi-fade out that happens at the same time, over those same 4 beats. I'm not finding any way to reduce the volume over time. I'm thinking that there has to be something hidden in an effect somewhere. Any ideas?
  2. Is anyone here pretty experienced with automating preset and snapshot changes inside Logic Pro X? I’m having an issue with automating the changes to while sending hotkey messages to control Logic. Curious if my problem is in command center or in the setup of the midi track within Logic. Hotkeys work perfectly until I start to automate patch / snapshot changes. As soon as I add the automation track, the hotkeys glitch out. I've also used MIDI notes instead of hotkeys and still encounter the same issue. So, for example. I’ve got hotkeys set up for play, stop, cycle, next marker, and previous marker. Momentary switches. Works perfectly without issue. Then I add the automation track. When I hit the play button on the Helix, the button acts like a latching button and causes the whole project to glitch out. Only way to fix it is to turn off the Helix and restart Logic. Hopefully I’ve explained this in a semi-understandable way haha thanks in advance for any advice on how to fix this!
  3. Hey guys, Just wondering if anyone can help me ... So live, I currently automate snapshot settings using CC#69 (I believe) using the laptop in Cubase. I was just wondering is there any way to also change presets / banks using midi messages? Can't seen to find a clear answer searching google and the forums. My plan was to have my helix set out like a setlist so each preset would be named after a song then each song would have it's own sounds and fx etc. But I need it all to be fully automated with the laptop as we play to a click with iems etc. TIA Mike \m/
  4. Hey folks, I have a Helix Floor and want to control it via Midi. When playing live, we use a Live Player for click and backings and this player can also send midi signals. I am already able to switch programs via the ProgramChange Midi-Command. But I want also want to "press" a footswitch via Midi, it should function the same way as I would have physically pressed the switch. I assigned two funtions on footswitch 2 (bypassing level block and changing the gain parameter on the amp sim). If I read the manual p. 47 correctly, I'd need to send CC50 64~127 to "press" the FSB2. I made sure I am in stomp mode (manually hitting the footswitch works), but when I send the CC it switches to preset 26B instead of "pressing" FSB2. Any idea what I do wrong? Thanks in advance, Frank
  5. I updated Native to 3.10 and now have noticed that some of my blocks are missing some of their assignments. For instance I had a expression pedal controlling the delay time on the Cosmos Echo (midi cc4) and a Bypass parameter (midi cc12) working just fine before updating to 3.10. Now the Time parameter is gone and when I add it back it will not save the time parameter, it just disappears when I reload the saved preset! A similar thing is happening with my volume block. In the video you can see that both parameters (bypass & time)are there then after switching back and forth presets the time parameter is gone. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Leroy IMG_1107.MOV
  6. Hi, I've been successful in changing patches on my Pod HD500 using Cubase LE AI Elements 8, but the Pod just doesn't toggle the effects on/off when a midi command is sent to it. The Pod is sending and receiving signal as I have even recorded effect toggles from it to a MIDI track, but the Pod only responds to the patch changes, not the effects toggling. I'm not sure if I need to change any settings in the Generic Remote Settings. Can anyone help please? :)
  7. Hi Guys, so I noticed I cannot assign multiple blocks to one automation Switch to toggle multiple blocks at once by a single automation lane (in Cubase in my case). It's even mentioned in the manual so I get that it's intentional. Could anybody explain why? It would directly correspond to how Helix Floor footswitches work so I'm a bit puzzled. I would often use this feature because whenever I start automating I feel I'd like to make that change more pronounced (say switch on drive and mod and delay at the same time for a solo). Currently I end up with multiple automation lanes having exactly the same shape just to control 2 or more block toggles (or min-max parameter value changes) at exactly the same time. I guess I should use snapshots but I always start with a simple one block switch and then just want to add 1 or 2 more blocks to the same switch so it's not convenient to change the lane in Cubase... Just wondering, I can live with it, just this seems like an inconsistency in otherwise perfect system. Thanks for any opinions.
  8. Has anyone managed to get the Helix working as a proper MIDI controller for Helix Native 1.10 in Tracktion? I am currently using Tracktion version T6. I was able to set the Helix up as a MIDI controller with no problem for other Tracktion plugins' parameters but Helix Native will only show me two parameters, 'Wet' and 'Dry' levels, that can be assigned to MIDI control or automation. I have set up the parameters that I wish to control within Helix Native using the "Automation/Controller Assign" tab but the assigned parameters/controllers do not show up anywhere in Tracktion when I try to assign the Helix as a MIDI controller to them. Tracktion's internal automation envelopes can't seem to see my Helix Native parameters either. The "Learn" function in Tracktion does not help and also can't see any Helix Native parameters. Am I missing a step, is this a Tracktion problem, or is this a Helix Native issue with automation and MIDI not being properly implemented yet? Maybe I am just missing part of the procedure. Has anyone successfully set up automation and MIDI on Tracktion for the Helix Native plugin? If so, could you please post up your procedure. Thanks!
  9. I have very little technical knowledge but have been tinkering with settings and I'm a bit stumped as to how to go about it. I am hoping to have the Bender effect oscillate between the toe and heel values. Is that possible? Loving Pod Farm & my ux2.
  10. I have the rack, and controller, and I am still putting it through the courses. I haven't played any guitar through it yet, I am still getting it integrated with my studio. Its looking good so far. But I seem to be running into a brick wall on something. I am wanting to control (automate) from within my DAW (FL Studio) on my pc, some parameters insind the Helix. Specifically I am wanting to control things like Wah position, and amp gain with automation clips from on my PC. I am not able to find which midi CC this would be on in the manual. If anyone can point me in the right direction I would be grateful.
  11. Hello all, This is my first post in the community, and I'm wondering where I can learn how to automate my Helix Rack to properly and effectively change presets as well as manipulate the values of individual chain loaded effects. Here is what I'm looking to accomplish with Helix (for live use) and as of right now I know nothing of where to start: I'm running my show with Ableton live 9 lite. I want to use MIDI tracks (envelope automation) in Ableton to change my patches throughout the songs and set, as well as automate the toggling the on/off of stompboxes and delay/reverb swells & ramp-ups of the mix percentage within each patch. All I know is that I need to assign the parameters in which I want to control to the open MIDI CC channels in Helix, but I do not know how to technically achieve this the most effective and proper way. Any input or direction to reading materials on this subject is greatly appreciated. Like i said, I know nothing about this process. Thanks!
