  1. Possibly a bug or possibly something I'm not doing right: I'm trying to use path 1 for a guitar using the Guitar Input, and trying to use path 2 for a bass guitar using the Aux Input (found on the back) When I set this up, so that Path 1 uses "Guitar" as the input, and Path 2 uses "Aux" (neither are using the Multi-Input), signal from the front Guitar port is always sent to Path 1 AND Path 2, when I would expect it to be sent to Path 1 only. If I use the return jacks I can get it to work, but then I'm losing one of the return slots. Is this a confirmed bug? Ta very much, redev
  2. Is there a way to have the AUX IN simply be used to plug in a playback unit so I can play on top of pre-recorded music (using headphones)? I don't want my ipod that's plugged into the AUX IN to be colored by my guitar preset tones. Do I have to go out and buy a 2-channel mixer for this or can the Helix do it on its own?
  3. Hello Everyone, Hopefully this hasn't been answered many times, so I apologize if it has... I own the POD HD500X and recently bought a new guitar (ES-339). I started messing around with running a vocal mic and the guitar into the POD and splitting channels. The results are good, but there are some songs that the lack of DSP on the guitar side has me itching for a little better quality that I'd normally get if the other channel's effects weren't being used for vocals. So here's my question: After demo'ing a BOSS VE-20 Vocal Effects pedal, I was pretty impressed with the quality. I've decided to buy it and the only thing I have left to consider is how to set it up with my POD. I'm just a bedroom musician and I use my POD as the audio interface for direct recording into my DAW. SO... I'm wondering will the AUX or CD input on the POD be a good/very good way to mix in a vocal effects pedal or will I be much better off buying another audio interface and plugging the POD and the Vocal pedal into it? I'd like to save some money and skip buying another interface, but it is important to me that I be able to do vocals and guitar at the same time. Most nights practicing now are spent playing along with a song on YouTube and singing and playing along with it. I have a blast doing that and I'm just hoping to get the best quality possible. If anyone could help answer this question I'd be extremely grateful. The difference here being an extra $150-400 out of my pocket for an audio interface I may not need. So here's a pre-thanks for taking the time to read and answer. :)
  4. I'm trying to play songs from my laptop through the POD into a guitar amp. I jam along with a second amp but. However, I'm getting a lot of noise. I'm running a 1/8" cable from the headphones jack on my laptop to the aux in on my Foor Pod Plus. I then use a 1/4" sheilded instrument cable to run from the POD mono out to the instrument input on a guitar amp. I get really bad high frequency interference-type noise coming through the amp. The strange thing is, if I hook up my iPod instead of my computer it is crystal clear. Or if I have my computer hooked up and use headphones via the POD instead of the amp, it is crystal clear. Only this computer + POD + amp scenario creates noise. I *could* just load the songs onto my iPod and use it, but it would be a pain and not nearly as convenient as using my computer. Any ideas what could be causing this noise and how to fix it? Thanks. Scott
