  1. One of my idiot sons friend thought it would be a wonderful ideal to take my marshall head speakers out and plug directly into my spiders guitar inputs. Naturally blowing the spider amp sky high. Anybody can guide me into which board i should be looking at. Opened amp up and to my surprise they are only a couple of boards in amp. Man any help would be greatly appreciated.
  2. So I had it all set up to get a new rig and yesterday my car decided to lollipop out on me and I had to pay a huge bill to get it repaired. I now only have a 2x12 cab and my HD500 and I've been reading around and found I can get a power amp to get a good signal from my HD500 to my cab, but mostly I see XLS1000 or so which put out 1000w of power so how is it that people can use this without blowing there speakers? Do they just crank the HD500 master and just leave the power amp at maybe 2? And if we're having a loud practice or playing shows how could I turn it up without blowing anything? I'm really looking for as much info as possible on this because now my dream rig is out of my reach and this is the only other thing I can do with having a brand new 2x12 sitting around collecting dust. I've been looking at an XLS, QSC, and my buddy at GC was looking around at his used stuff and saw an Altec Lansing 1210 and said it maybe awesome to try and only cost $60. Thanks for looking!
  3. Hi there, I have the Pod X3 Pro. I have had what I believe to be the same issue in this legacy post - http://uk.line6.com/supportarchivenew/thread/65387/ It did the pop thing and then died and didn't switch back on. So, as well out of the warranty, and I as I imagine costly to send to the nearest service centre in the UK, I decided to follow the advice on that post. Everything worked fine as expected.... I found the fuse OK, But - as per the image below it seems to state 2.5amp slo-blow fuse is required. However the moderator posted in that post to replace with a 1 amp slo blo fuse. So, I've scoured the web a little bit and it appears other people have mentioned 2amp fuses, 1.5 amp fuses as replacements etc for the x3 pro!... So, I am all confused now!! Which fuse should I use to replace with?? Frustratingly, I actually have a 1amp, a 2amp and a 3 amp slo blo fuse lying around,!! Just not a 2.5 amp one!!.... So, which should I use? One of the 1,2 or 3 amp ones - or look around to see if I can get a 2.5 amp one??. It seems a lot of work for a 50 pence fuse! ;-) Thank you in advance G.
