  1. I had an issue with my HD500 this weekend and wanted to get some opinions. I was rehearsing for a gig this weekend and all of a sudden my HD500 starting rebooting. It would reboot, then come up to the preset screen and stay on anywhere from 10-20 seconds to maybe a minute at the most before rebooting again. At this point I had to leave the house and got back about 20 min later. I plugged the HD500 back up holding the left arrow button to do a global reset. It would boot up to the Line 6 logo screen then automatically reboot. It never got past the Line 6 logo. So then I booted into safe mode and reflashed the firmware. When I rebooted it again I got the same thing, it wouldn't get past the Line 6 logo. I'm in a bit of a panic at this point because I have a show the next day and need my HD500! Luckily a friend of mine also has one and let me borrow his. I go to get it and I'm back in maybe an hour and a half. I decided to boot up my HD500 again just to see if there's any change. Low and behold it boots up like nothing is wrong. I ended up using the HD500 I borrowed just in case, but I haven't been able to reproduce the problem with mine. I'm glad it's working now, but I'm nervous about it acting up at a gig. The only other time I've had an issue with my unit was about a month ago right before a gig it reboot on it's own. But it came right back up and no further problems until this weekend, I've got it sitting on my desk at work today and I'm going to try leaving it on all day periodically changing patches just to see if it acts up again. Has anyone else had this happen intermittently like this? I don't want to have to replace it, but I have to know I can count on it. If it's relevant I bought it new at the end of 2010. Thanks!
  2. As the title says, when I select an amp model and then begin to either change the drive or bass settings, the setting I put seems to be affecting the amp model selector - ie if I choose the 'metal' channel and start turning the gain to 9 o clock, 'Class A' is being selected on the amp models. This hasn't happened before, and it's incredibly annoying. Is there a way for this to be fixed?
  3. Hello there, I bought this machine about a year and a half ago, loved it ever since. Recently I upgraded my desktop with a new SSD to replace the older smaller one, but since that moment the GX hasn't been working properly. I've had it plugged in for a year and a half with the speakers plugged into the GX to play not only my recordings, but also normal sounds from Spotify etc. Worked perfectly, until the new SSD. It plays sounds etc, but every 5 seconds I hear a crackling noise. You of all people understand my frustrations. I've downloaded all the GX drivers (I think, googled for Line6 GX driver and downloaded that), the Asio4all drivers and I've updated through Monkey as well. Completely updated Windows, too. Speakers work perfectly without the GX, but as soon as I want to plug them through the GX it starts crackling. Do I need to change any settings I don't know about? Please help me, I'm desperate...
  4. Hey, so my DL4 cut out the other day and I've opened it up to find that batteries have exploded and leaked acid all through the pedal. The circuit is pretty burnt and it won't start at all. I've only ever run it off a line 6 official power supply. And am always super careful with the unit. Has anyone else had any problems like this? Also, being based outside of Europe, or the USA. There is no number or emailing address for me to get in contact with line 6 about the issue. If anyone could shed some light on where I can get in communication about customer support, that would be fantastic! Love the DL4, I just want to get it revived :(
  5. Hi to all , I just purchased a DT25 head and I am trying to connect it to Monkey to see what firmware I have. I first tried using a cheap Chinese ebay cable and I was getting no lights on the midi side. I went out today and bought a hosa midi to usb converter and I am having the same issue. No lights on the Midi side, just on the usb side. I connected Midi in of converter to Midi out on the amp and vice versa for the Out. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again.
  6. Hello there, I bought a POD studio UX1 a few years ago and as far as i can remember it used to work fine. I decided to start using it again yesterday but found that i cant because; The LED doesnt light up at all when it is plugged in the UX1 is not recognised and is listed as an 'unknown' device I feel i have tried everything, i have; uninstalled and re-downloaded/installed all relevant software multiple times, I have gone and bought a new USB cable which does exactly the same thing I have checked all USB ports in my laptop and they work perfectly with all other devices I have done the obvious such as restarting the laptop and waiting for a while.. The only other coclusion i can think of is that the UX1 is faulty, but i cant see why as its been looked after and barely ever used. I would also like to mension that when i plug the USB cable in, it does make a sound, not the 'da ding', a USB device should make, it makes a 'dung dung' sound, not the 'di dong' one when you unplug a device. thats the only way i can describe it, and that also means the cable should be working. I am also running on Windows 7. Somebody please have a solution to this because i was really looking forward to actually using my UX1 Thanks
