  1. Hi guys. Really need some help with my Simplifier deluxe direct rig routing. I’ve got a HX stomp thru the FX loop using a stereo 7CM set up. I was under the impression I could use the 1/4 inch outputs to by pass the Simplifier cab sim so I can use IRs & cabs frm my HX stomp. Currently I’ve got these outputs connected to the HX stomp left and right returns. Seems the preamp frm the Simplifier is no longer working, even tho it says on the manual that disabling cab sims leaves the preamp - effects loop & reverb all operating. I’ve got the XLR outs to the PA. Tried using the 1/4 jack outs direct instead but no signal at all. Any help at all would be so appreciated! Thanks in advance :)
  2. Hi, I was wondering if Helix offers a way to have a cabinet emulation but without any microphone coloration added to it? I am running a frfr scenario and the sound I get is much like what I would get from a monitor as it is "micked" (microphone algorythm in helix's cab block). The problem is that I wan't to be able to put a microphone in front of my frfr speaker in order to send this signal to FOH. I wanna do so because I mainly play small venues as opening act and most often, old school soundmen don't like this "d.i." thing. The problem is if i get a microphone to pick up a sound that is already sort of micked, then the actual mic coloration will add up to the simulated one and enhance some frequencies in an unpleasant way (high mids). Basically, I want my frfr to sound more like a real amp rather than like a micked amp through a monitor. I know I can bypass the cabinet block altogether but then I only have the preamp through the frfr and it sound's like s*** also, would the line 6 powercab remedy this situation? Thank you guys!
  3. Any hope of convincing the developers to add a Fryette Deliverance 60/120 amp sim with the more and less gain channels, Deliverance 2/4x12 with Fane speakers? Seems to me like it could be a good addition without doubling up what's already there. I'd be in favor of the Sig:X too! Also, seems like an HM-2 Boss Heavy Metal pedal sim would be fun too! Thoughts? Or bubble bursts?
  4. Hello! I'm interested in Helix LT and i was wondering if i can edit each of my presets to have cab simulation on the left output (to connect straight to PA) and on the right output without cab sims (for amp connection through fx-return) Thanks in advance!
  5. Hi! I'm from the Philippines and the gigging scenario is usually like this. Most of the time clubs here would have a decently powered guitar amp (50-100w) but not all clubs mike the amps so it can sit well in the mix with the vocals, drums, and bass. I use an HD500x. To get more consistent sound both on stage and at the audience I was thinking of sending the PL outs to the onstage guitar amp's FX return, and the XLR outs to the PA. The problem I have though is that if I set up my patches with any of the cab sims on, the FOH sound may be good, but the stage sound from the amp would be usually muddy. If I set the output mode to Combo Power amp, I know I would get a good sound on stage but I fear that I would have that harsh DI no cab sim sound coming out of the PA. So I guess my questions boil down to the following: 1. Do the XLR outs have some sort of "always on" compensation / speaker sim even if the active patch has the cab sim turned off? 2. If not, then I would have to turn on cab sim so that the HD500x's XLR PA feed would sound right, correct? How do I now make the stage amp sound good in this set up since the cab sim already colors the sound? Thank you MH
  6. I apologize if this was asked previously elsewhere. I tried perusing the manuals and searching the forums... For the last 4 years, I have been using Guitar Rig with Rig Kontrol live. Honestly, I might still be a happy user if NI would keep their products up-to-date and not discontinue their hardware. I can't do a live show anymore without experiencing bad audio drop-outs and worse. Time to ditch and look elsewhere... One of the cool things I was able to do with GR, however, was route speaker simulation (cab sim, etc.) to ONLY one side of the outputs. My common setup was to run the output with NO cab sim to my on-stage amp, and the output with the cab sim ON to the DI/PA system. The tones were just a little off from each other, but my stage amp has V30's, and so I'd run the V30 cab sim for the house line, and with a little EQ, I was a pretty happy camper. This became the better option, rather than A) Mic'ing the stage cab for the house feed (not a fan), and B] Running the cab sim ON to my amp signal (Redundant yuck.), or C) Using NO cab sim (horrible shrill line out). So obviously, that's my question. Can you, somehow, route the outputs on the HD500X in such a way where the speaker simulation is running to, say, the Balanced XLR output(s) - meanwhile the 1/4" amp outputs disengage any cab sim? Or...is there another option/configuration I'm not aware of that addresses this issue? Thanks for the help!
