  1. The "Effect" option and the entire LFS2 footswitch is a latching footswitch with LED lights. This allows you to turn on the effects and make channels changes. The LED will correspond with the effect being on or off. If you're switching channels, this overrides the effect option in the saved preset. Even though the saved preset might have the effect turned to the "OFF" position, this will still appear as ON with the footswitch. This is why you may not getting certain settings as "Saved" when you have the LFS2 pedal connected. Since the pedal is overriding the saved preset default settings. This is normal behavior for the LFS2 latching footswitch. The footswitch options correspond with the LED lights. You can save it correctly with the LFS2 disconnected, or with the Catalyst Edit software. If you see the lettering at the top of Catalyst edit as RED, this means the preset is changed. TAN lettering would mean its saved and hasn't been changed.
  2. Hello Is it possible to use the Helix hx effects to switch between all four channels on a ENGL powerball amp? I have previously had problems with channel switching when using a Carl martin octa switch. When using this I can only switch between clean and crunch channels when using a mono jack. When I use a stereo jack I can switch between crunch and lo-gain, but I want to be able to switch between clean and lo lead (can't even access the hi-lead channel). Is it possible to choose any of the four channels I want when connecting the helix hx to my channel gain input on the back of my amp? I haven't bought a Helix yet cause this is a very important feature for me, so I want to be sure it can do it before buying. Thanks :)

    Relay G70/75 FAQ

Q: How does the G70/75 system work with other Line 6 Wireless? Even with RF2/RF3 co-habitability, that does not necessarily mean that every channel will work in the same environment. Check out the chart below to see what channels are available when using our other Relay products. Note: The G70/75 will only work in the same environment as current RF2 wireless systems. Those relay systems with older firmware (v1.0) limited to using RF 1 will not work. Q: What are the dimensions of the receivers? G70 receiver Height 2.06" Width 5.53" Length 4.06" G75 receiver Height 2.63" Width 6.22" Length 4.65" Q: Are all Line 6 Wireless receivers and transmitters interchangable with the G70/75? A: No, Only G70/75 receiver work with the TB516G transmitter Q: How is the Relay G70/75 receiver powered? A: The receiver is powered by the supplied micro USB power supply, or an optional DC-1g Q: What are the frequencies for the cable tone? Q: How do I update the firmware for my G70/75? Check out the instructions here! Q: My Windows system won't update the G70/75 When attempting to update the TBP516G transmitter using Windows 7, some users have reported that the transmitter either does not establish a connection via USB, or loses the connection during the update. It is worth noting that Windows supplies the driver for the Relay G70/G75 transmitter. There are two scenarios where the transmitter is not recognized by the updater app after connecting via USB: the updater is launched before the transmitter drivers have finished installing. This may occur more often on slower computers, computers that already have several open windows or processes, or with machines that have a slower internet connection. the "Driver not successfully installed" message appears. In this case, click "Change settings" then choose "Yes, do this automatically (recommended)" in the Device Installation Settings dialogue box, then select "Save Changes". In the event the "Driver not installed" message box is not present, you can navigate to Device Installation Settings using the following steps: Click Start, type 'devices and printers' in the search box, and then click Devices and Printers. Under Devices, right-click the icon for the computer, and then click Device installation settings. Choose "Yes, do this automatically (recommended)" and select "Save Changes" button. After changing this setting, remove the USB cable, then insert it again so that Windows can detect the transmitter and install the driver for it. It is possible to see the transmitter update fail shortly after it starts. This can occur if one of the transmitter drivers has not finished installing before you initiate an update. In this case, the updater will typically display that the firmware version is unknown. The workaround here is to wait until the driver completes installation, or disconnect the USB cable, reconnect it, then start the update again.
  4. Hello, My receiver recognizes transmitted channels in an unpredictable way. At first I thought it was down to the transmitter, so bought a new one - however, I have discovered that the problem is identical for both the old and the new transmitter. Channels 1, 2 , 11 and 12 set on the transmitter do not connect with those channels on the receiver. However, channels 3,4,5 and 6 on the transmitters, do connect to those receiver channels respectively - 3 to 1, 4 to 2, 5 to 11 and 6 to 2. Channels 13 and 14 on the transmitters do not work at all. All other numbers 7 to 10 work correctly with their respective transmitter and receiver settings. Table below may help. Can this be fixed, or do I need a new receiver? Many thanks Bill. Channel Transmitter Receiver Channel 1 N N 2 N N 3 y y 3 11 4 y y 4 12 5 y y 5 1 6 y y 6 2 7 y y 7 8 y y 6 9 y y 9 10 y y 10 11 N N 11 12 N N 12 13 N 14 N
  5. Hey Guys, I have a few songs our band recorded to SD card a while ago on my marvellous M20d, about 16 tracks in all I think, but since I and the band recorded them, we've changed our channel assignments and main mix setup on the desk to be unrecogniseable to the old recordings. How can I import the old recordings to the new channels, so everything sounds right? At the moment, channels are all over the place for the recording.. effects are weird, drums are coming out of vocal channels etc.. not pretty! Any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks Very Much, Stu
  6. Even with RF2/ RF3 co-habitability - that does not necessarily mean that every channel will work in the same environment. Check out this chart as to what channels are available when using our other Relay products. Note: The G70/75 will ONLY work in the same environment as current RF2 wireless systems. Those Relay systems with older firmware (v1.0) will not work in the same environment unless the G50 is updated to firmware 2.0 or better.
  7. Hi, i have an issue. i got the Line 6 hd500x processor along with the Grandmeister 36 by HughesundKettner but by mistake for the next few day i´m with the Tubemeister 36 (in case you need to know). I tried the amp without the processor and after that i connected the processor with the 4 cable method.I want to use the processor only for effects although i the future i will probably see how good are the simulations : ).So the problem is that after i plugged the processor i tried some presets for 10 minutes and then i touched the amp´s knobs and buttons, and nothing works, the buttons light up in their color when i change the channels and there is no difference, i touch the volume, high, mid, low knobs - nothing, the reverb knob on the back of the amp head, still, nothing. i can adjust only the master volume from the processor. And the main reason is (maybe you will find it funny) i want to see if the tube amp has the same sound with the processor plugged in, i want to have a clean connection between the guitar and the amp with the processor plugged in, and have the hughesundkettner exact sound, and then after that, over that sound to add effects,, knowing that hughesundkettner is ther (im not some crazy fan, i just think that the amp sounds really sweet) Anyways, nothing moves and i hope i didnt do something right,I have no idea if there is special option whenever i want to use only the preamp of my tube amp or the whole amp in its natural sounding, or i just have to disable the amp from the screen (i literally wasted the last one hour trying to figure out why when i connect the processor with the 4 cable method (i didn´t try other method) is my amp "frozen".maybe the processor is using only the power amp of my amp,but i turned every effect from the processor OFF, and still nothing. Thanks Anthony.
  8. Hello everyone! I have this problem: I want to use the effects of my POD HD 500 and the distortion of my Fender Roc Pro 100 Head (with 1/4 footswitch). Whats the best solution to trigger and change the channels (clean, drive, boost, reverb) of my Fender amp through my POD and also activate POD FX? I saw some options, like MIDI RESOLUTION RELAY CONTROLLER or AMP GIZMO. Which is the best option? Someone has experience with this? How do you set up to configure POD + MIDI + AMP HEAD? Thanks a lot! Emi
  9. Hello peoples of the Line 6 forum, I have some questions about the MIC input/output and routing on the HD500X: Is it possible to route the signal from the Mic Input to one of the Balanced Outputs, while simultaneously running the Instrument Input to one of the Unbalanced (1/4") outputs, so that when I play gigs I can route my mic through the pedal and give the FOH guy the Mic output separately from the instrument output (which I would give him from the DI in my amp, further down the signal chain, due to using more effects)? They key thing is I'm curious about keeping the instrument and mic outputs separate, so the channels can stay discrete on the FOH mixing board. Related to that, when using the Vocoder, will the effected sound pass through both the instrument and Mic outputs, or just one or the other? I.e. if running my instr and mic through the HD500X as separate channels (assuming that can be done), when I turn on the vocoder, will I hear the output through my instrument output only, the Mic/PA output only, or both? Finally, does anyone know if the HD500X will have additional effects/packages that can be applied to it? I'm a bassist, and it's very light on bass-specific stuff. I've always had an issue with buying pedalboards because they don't seem really futureproof sometimes. It would be nice if this platform will be somewhat expandable. Thank you!
