  1. Hola, soy Fran de Argentina, he comprado mi helix lt hace un tiempo y queria ayuda para lograr conseguir el sonido del siguiente video, sugerencias de amps, delay, etc... Muchas Gracias!!! https://youtu.be/UCxMW4nqhKU
  2. Please advise I have been trying all day to get my chorus to stitch on and off via the switch. Everything else works (distortion, overdrive and delay) it's just the chorus. its the analogue chorus and its third in the chain after my amp. Thoughts would be great thanks :)
  3. Can you access Noise Gate and Chorus on board without using App?
  4. Sometimes, when I turn up the Master Volume, it'll start changing the Chorus settings. If I tap on the Chorus knob, it will go away, but not a complete fix, as it will do it again when it gets bumped, so it sounds to me like it's a loose connection After doing more testing, I found out that it only does this when the knob is in the Chorus area, as soon as I move it to Phaser/Tremolo, the issue is completely gone. I've had this amp for years, and never had an issue with it. That is, until I go to sell it. Does anyone know if there's something I can do? I already tried a Factory Reset. Electrical contact cleaner, perhaps?
  5. I've done a short demo of the stuff I've been playing with on the $50 ST Micro ARM 7 eval board: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OoRuUit7FyM Enjoy! ChewingAluminum(Foil)
  6. Is there a way to use any of the mod effects like phaser, chorus, flanger with tap tempo? I set "Tempo Select"='Global' but my mod effects don't seem to follow it. Many effects with "Rate" could have a parameter to indicate "Tap" or "Preset" which would determine if the "Rate" is to be set according to the tap tempo or the preset's "Rate" setting. That way all of the effects and delays could follow the tap tempo where desired. Is there a way to do this?
  7. I have noticed that the effect sound for the 70's Chorus and ScriptModPhase are strongest at the 50% "Mix" parameter level. This does not make any sense to me. On most non-Helix effects when you turn up the mix level, you get less direct guitar and more affected signal. At 100% you get the most effect available in the output. On the Helix, turning up the "Mix" to 100% decreases the effect signal to almost zero, such that the chorus or phaser sound pretty much disappear. Turning the "Mix" to 0% also results in almost zero (which is what I would expect). I am using the XLR (left) mono ouput direct to my mixing board. I brought this issue up in the Bugs topic and got a couple of good speculations as to why the "Mix" parameter is operating this way but I am still unsure as to whether this is a bug or not. This does not seem to be normal behavior. Can Line6 please weigh in on why the chorus, phaser, and I presume several other (all?) effects are showing this behavior. If it is intentional, what is the difference between running the "Mix" parameter at for instance 25% versus 75%? How is the "Mix" parameter implemented on the Helix?
  8. Hey folks - I was wondering if anyone knew what pedal "Sine Chorus" is specifically modeled after. I checked the list of info for each effect model that Line6 provides on the site, but all it says is "Your basic digital chorus (as opposed to the analog type vibe of the Analog model), with a sine wave as the modulator. Smooth going down, with bass and treble controls for bassing and trebling." I'm curious because I'd like to get the standalone pedal Sine Chorus is modeled after - really enjoy how you can make the guitar tone sound permanently bent without any whammy bar business and not too much goofy chorus warble. Even though it's chorus, it's can be made a subtle effect that bends the tone without coloring it too much, I guess like a smoother version of a detuner.
  9. Hi guys. Just purchased the TC Nova delay as well as the TC Hall of Fame reverb pedals. Checked them in the store and sounded excellent. Now I just discovered when hooking the the pedals to my POD XT the sound is very bad. The sound as kind of distorted like it delivers way too much input. I don't get this? I usually run a Maxon OD808 in front of the POD XT and it sounds brilliant. I only use the "Balance" option in this pedal though, and not the overdrive. Anyways my setup is this: Guitar -> Maxon OD808 -> Hall of Fame Reverb -> Nova delay -> Pod XT Also tried going guitar -> Hall of Fame -> Pod XT with same crappy result. What am I missing here??
  10. I´m trying to get the full stereo capabilities from pod hd 500 and therefore want to use a chorus at the end of my chain. Unfortunately I high notes sound terrebly painful. Without chorus the sound is good. My effect chain is TubeComp, Graphic EQ, BF Lux nrm, Stereo Delay, Plate Reverb. Treble is not boosted anywhere I can place my chorus at the very beginning, sounds ok, but no stereo of course. If I use it after the tube comp, it sound like treble is boosted at maximum. Any Ideas? Is my devce broken? Thanks for any advice
  11. Hi all, I love that thick sounds you get from double tracking with really tight playing. BUT, I'm recording a tough rhythm section and having difficulty playing multiple takes that line up well. I know - I need to practice. In the meantime, does anyone have suggestions for how to set up a chorus effect so that my left and right channels would sound close but distinct? Any ideas for which chorus and settings? Maybe split the signal path after the amp and have a very light chorus in only one side and pan the two paths? A quick search here didn't show anything useful. Going direct out with S/PDIF to an interface, if that matters. Thanks - Brian
  12. I have my SonicPort/Mobile Pod set up as such: IPad2 Graphic Equilizer, No Amp, No Cab Delay Chorus Reverb Then into my tube amp. When using a built in amp and can outputting to powered speaker, it all wotks fine. Last night I had my first practice with my band where I used the sonic port and with two notes only the fundemental did into come through, only the octave. First fret B string ©, and first fret low E string (F). When I "toe tapped" the chorus out of the signal, the fundamentals showed up. Anyone else had something like this happen? Cheers.
  13. Hi, I have a podUX1 with PODFARM2, I designed a preset for a cool VanHalen tone with soldano, compressor, tubescreamer, chorus, plate and short delay. I wonder if a solution exists to bring the preset onstage (in an hardware pedal for example). I don't care of the amp simulation, I would like to have the chorus, plate and delay only in the same pedal and not necessary change the settings of each effect. To summarize, the pedal with only a footswitch which has the settings predefined (for the VH tone I love :D). An analogic solution will not be very accurate and programm a DSP for a numerical solution seems to be really hard to emulate the same tone of podfarm :(. I hope someone has an answer... Sorry for my poor English, Thanks in advance :), Lucas
  14. Hi there just bougt an M5 stompbox, but, I can't work out how to set it up as a chorus or flanger. Can anyone help me with some settings?? Cheesrs Colby
