  1. Hi, I've been successful in changing patches on my Pod HD500 using Cubase LE AI Elements 8, but the Pod just doesn't toggle the effects on/off when a midi command is sent to it. The Pod is sending and receiving signal as I have even recorded effect toggles from it to a MIDI track, but the Pod only responds to the patch changes, not the effects toggling. I'm not sure if I need to change any settings in the Generic Remote Settings. Can anyone help please? :)
  3. I've been trying for about 2 days to no success. I followed all the steps on the Cubase Help site that and set the driver to the spider and the inputs to the spider as well but when I press record nothing happens. Can someone please help set me up? I have no idea how to record my amp on Cubase Le
  4. Hi. I've been trying to record the amp via the USB connection straight into my PC then into Cubase LE. But I get sound from the amp and from my computer speakers, and the sound from the computer speakers are delayed just a bit. I'm assuming that since we get a copy of Cubase LE that this is all supposed to work correctly. So what am I doing wrong? Are we supposed to use a recording interface? And if so, how do you connect the Spider amp to it? Confused.
  5. I just got into the cubase program that came with my spider v 240hc, it works great and I have the drivers set up and installed correctly so I can record and playback with no issues. I am curious if there is a way to set up output to another device though because I dont like having to plug my mic into the phones jack on the amp, like I shuold be able to monitor form my mic out, or from my pc headphone jack. Is there a way to configure the spider v driver in cubase as input only, with another device (yeti mic) set for the output? Also can you configure multiple devices for input so I can have my mic and amp inputting adio simultanously? This might be a question for steinberg cubase forums but sine the programs is included with the amps I thought maybe someone here might have some info.
  6. Hi all, I've connected the Helix (v2.5) via USB to my computer (Windows10), hoping to hear the sounds from Cubase 9.5 through my FRFR which is connected to my Helix via the XLR Output. When I play the guitar, the sound can be heard through the FRFR but when I play the music from Cubase, I hear weird sounds (kind of slowed down version of the music with saturation). My settings in Cubase: Studio Setup... --> ASIO Helix Audio connections... --> Outputs=Stereo Out (Output1 for Left and Output2 for Right) Is there a setting I'm missing? Thanks. regards. Ju.
  7. Hi, I just installed new firmware 2.50 for my Helix LT and it looks as though the midi messages sent from the Helix when changing preset are now wrong... When I switch preset, a midi message is sent out but Cubase recognises it a aftertouch? When I playback the midi track Helix won't aknoledge the incoming message (since it doesn't respond to aftertouch) and it won't change preset. Also, If I copy/paste the recorded messages from aftertouch to program change on my midi track in Cubase, the preset changes on Helix happen exactly as they should (which is how I patch the problem so far). Is there something wrong with Helix sending the wrong midi messages since I updated the firmware? Should I try a factory reset? I did try reinstalling cubase (didn't fix it) but I noticed the midi messages being sent from Helix are the same with another midi monitor software... Thank you!
  8. Hello, When I launch my Cubase 5 on my mac with El Capitan, I have no audio input or output working with the Helix as usb interface. SInce Helix kinda works with Garage Band (with the beta for developpers 10.11.2 (Build 15C48a)), and since I can use Cubase 5 with a Roland Capture Duo EX USB interface (with and only with the same new 10.11.2 build), I suspect that my issue comes from Cubase 5 or Apple El Capitan which for some reason cannot interface well with Line 6 Helix. So I have 2 questions: @Line 6 : do you have any information regarding using Helix with Cubase on the latest Mac El Capitan OS? @Forum : Are there other people here who manage to use any version of Cubase (say 5 to 8) with the Helix on Mac OSX ? Thanks to all, Regards
  9. Hi guys, a little help required, that is if there is even an answer to the school boy error I've made. Had my Line 6 UX2 with Pod Farm ver 2.59 for a while now. so decided to start making music to record. As the only recording I've done recently is using a Korg Triton Tactile midi keyboard with Cubase i thought "What the hell" and splurged on the new Cubase 9. Red Alert, Red Alert. I find out too late that Cubase 9 no longer supports Podfarm 2 and it's 32bit plugins. Yet when opening up the Line 6 folders and going to the POD Farm 2 VST Line 6 folder it shows all the .dll files as both 32 and 64 bit. Being a bit of a dimbo around computers as a rule, has anyone got the slightest idea of how to work around this issue so that Pod Farm can be used with Cubase 9? Or will Line 6 be making an updated software package to make Pod Farm 2 compatible with Cubase 9? Thanks in advance for any possible solutions to this or even a poke in the right direction. CHEERS!
  10. Does anyone know if I can import a drum loop from my Spider V into Cubase? I would like to import the (kick beat) loop into Cubase without using the built-in audio microphone on the Mac. Anyone have success doing this?
  11. Hi, so I've just started using the Torpedo Wall Of Sound VST as the cab sims in the Pro X just weren't doing it for me for home recording - besides the WoS. Just after a little help on how to get the best out of this please, running with the Pod as the interface in USB mode. 1) Am I right in thinking use the "Pre" versions is the way to go or is that subjective? 2) Even with the cabs off on the Pod, it still seems to be coloured by the mic selection - is there a way around this? 3) I'm currently in studio/direct mode, would another mode be better suited for this? 4) Any general observations when using VST cab impulses with the HD Pro X / similar line 6 products?
  12. Hi everybody! First, thanks for your help and excuse me for my bad english. I would like to record my Pod HD (desktop) on Cubase (8.5) but i'm not sure how to adjust the "mixer output" to have the best sound? I know i have to record on a mono track on cubase but the output of the pod is in stéréo if i'm right. So, how i have to adjust the path A and B in the mixer? Is there a difference of sound when we set the mixer ? I have to put path A 100% Left and path B 100% Right or 0% for the both or A and B 100% Left? Is there a difference if I use the amps dual mode? Thanks for your answers Shenann
  13. Hey there, Firstly, thanks for any and all replies. Basically I want to use my UX1 to record my guitar in Cubase, but I don't want to use any of the sounds from PodFarm, I want to use one from Cubase instead. Cubase picks up my guitar with or without PodFarm open fine, I can see the output monitor rise and fall as I play, and using direct monitoring I can hear the effect back on Cubase. However, when I click record, the track doesn't pick anything up. The only time I can record actual sounds is when I am using PodFarm sounds. I believe I have my ASIO set up correct, as well as inputs/outputs. I've attached a few screenshots, if there's anyone who's familiar with using PodFarm and Cubase together, I'd really appreciate the help. I'm running Cubase 8 LE, on Windows 10. Cheers.
  14. Cubase LE 9 on OSX and Windows no longer supports 32-bit plug-ins, which includes Pod Farm 2.x. You can read more about this change on the Steinberg website here: https://www.steinberg.net/en/newsandevents/news/newsdetail/article/cubase-85-is-last-version-to-be-32-bit-compatible-3469.html https://www.steinberg.net/en/newsandevents/news/newsdetail/article/future-releases-as-64-bit-only-3778.html
  15. Hi everyone. Ive recently purchased a POD studio GX and i can't seem to get any audio input. Im running OS X 10.10.4 and driver version 7.5.7. Pod Farm starts up correctly and i can get output via the GX in cubase but the box itself doesn't see any input signal from my guitar. Im using a brand new cable and i know the guitar is electronically sound. Ive tried everything i can think of (i even returned the first unit i bought as i assumed it to have a faulty input jack). Is anyone else running a GX on 10.10.4? Is the something else i can do to fix this, maybe a legacy driver? Any advice is gratefully received. Cheers!
  16. Hi, I'll try and explain my problem but bear with me, I'm not sure of all the technical terms! My set up - PC, 64 bit, running Win 7 Home. Cubase Elements 6. I'm using two DAWs - a Guitar Port and a ZOOM R24. Both have the right drivers and function without issue. The problem is, I've tried to install POD FARM 2 to use their amp models. This worked fine on my original set up but a few months ago I installed a solid state hard drive, reinstalled everything, authorised Cubase and POD FARM, installed it into the VST Plugin library - and this is where it gets confusing. I started with the free models of pod farm - no problems. I reauthorise my PC to run the entire software package - I get all the models and tones back, but now when I activate pod farm as an insert, it comes up, the interface is there - but no audio signal runs through it. I've tried both DAWs, I've tried resetting and reimporting the files using Cubase's plug in manager, which says that the insert is there and active.. I'm out of ideas now. I should mention that the audio signals play fine, and I can use the native Cubase inserts without a problem, but the Line 6 stuff is far better. Does anyone have any ideas?
  17. I have been having a myriad of problems with Pod Farm and UX2! As much as I love the products of Line 6, this is really starting to get to me, which is why I am posting here. This has been going on for quite some time, so let me explain some problems: The first time I starting noticing problems was when I (I know many people suggest not doing this, but it works anyway) was using my UX2 as a sound card, which ran fine for several months, but all of a sudden, the sound just goes out. Symptoms: Unplugging it from there and plugging back in makes the two red clipping lights begin to bounce back and forth with no response from the UX2 // I am forced to restart my computer Attempts: I have tried reinstalling all the drivers, updated Windows 10, and nothing changes. The second problem I know have is when I am recording with Cubase 8 Elements. I have Pod Farm as a VST on the DAW, but occasionally, Pod Farm decides to stop working, with the error in the tuner section saying "Failed to connect to driver streaming engine." Symptoms: No tones come from Pod Farm, no input detected, or output // I am forced to either restart my computer, or reinstall Pod Farm and all the drivers. These are the main problems I want to tackle first, but I just wish that I could fully enjoy these quality products. Please take notice of my problems and address them so that I may finally find a fix. Thanks! Setup: MSI GE70 Apache Notebook - i7 processor - 12GB of RAM - 1 HDD - Nvidia GTX 960M If you need more details, please let me know.
  18. Hi all. I recently upgraded to WIndows 10 and have tried to get my X3 live to work as an ASIO device inside Cubase 5.1.2. It works fine stand alone in Gear box but when selectiing the device in audio manager in Cubas I get a BSOD. I have the latest drivers installed. Line 6 Monkey 1.72 X3 Live drivers 4.2.7.6 The computer is an ASUS ROG GL752VW Win 10 64-bit 16GB RAM The windows installation is an upgraded windows 8 installation. (It was delivered like that from the reseller) Could the be the issue? Idon't want to re-install windows if I don't have to. Thanks in advance. //Niklas
  19. Hi, my name is Ravyn and I am a guitarist from Ontario, Canada and am new to the Line 6 forum, this is my first post here and I am wondering if anyone has any info on this type of issue? I'd appreciate any help or info :) My old PC died a couple of weeks ago, so I decided to get a new laptop specifically for recording music. I thought it'd be a better idea seeing as they are portable, and actually this is the first laptop I've ever owned, I've always used a desktop for recording in the past. The laptop I have is a Lenovo with an i7 processor and 8GB of RAM. I've also just recently bought Cubase Artist 8 for recording and re-installed all Line 6 software and downloads for the Line 6 POD HD500x but upon recording I am having issues. Theirs always noise in the background, clicks, pops, unwanted feedback...but the worst part is that my system is always crashing. The two error codes I get are DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (L6PODHD5SE64.sys) and SYSTEM_THREAD_NOT_HANDLED (L6PODHD5SE64.sys) So I take it that the L6POD in the code has something to do with my beloved Line 6 Pod?? It's all very confusing, everything worked fine on my old Acer desktop and it didn't have half of the capabilities that my new laptop has, yet it worked fine and never crashed once like this. If anyone has any info, could you please help a newbie out? I'd appreciate it so much and thank you kindly! -Ravyn
  20. I have successfully been using the UX2 to record with Pod Farm in Cubase for several years. However I recently decided to buy a GX as I don't need all the extra inputs that come with the UX2 but want to continue being able to use Pod Farm and I like that the GX is so small. I have authorized the GX and it works fine with the standalone version of Pod Farm, however when I open Pod Farm as a plugin in Cubase with the GX connected I get the 'No Authorized Device' message and cannot process audio. Is there a way to make the GX authorize Pod Farm within Cubase? I don't want to have to reinstall Pod Farm into Cubase as I will have to save all the tones I am using in projects as Line 6 Tone files and then reload them into the new Pod Farm which is too much of a pain.
  21. Hi, I have been using hardware dependent Pod Farm with my TonePort UX2 for the last few years to record guitar into Cubase. I now want to sell my physical TonePort audio interface but still use the Pod Farm software in Cubase to process the 'dry' guitar. I am aware that to do this I need to purchase the hardware independent version of Pod Farm separately. However I am concerned that I will then lose the tones I am using in Cubase projects as the hardware independent version will be a separate plugin in Cubase rather than just authorising the existing Pod Farm without the hardware if that makes sense? Any help on this is much appreciated, thanks.
  22. Hi. When I record my Variax 600 in Cubase 8 AI, it leads to a gap at the beginning (like an enormous latency). I am using the POD HD500x which is USB-connected to an iMac. If I use a regular guitar everything is correct. The recording starts right at the beginning and listening to the live-tone and tempo-click everything sounds okay. But when the recording ends there is a gap of nearly 1 second since the tone starts and it ends with the same (here as an overlap). Any ideas? I will try to reproduce this behavior in Audacity later… EDIT: Don't know how to get rid of latency using Audacity. So, no way to reproduce the problem :(
  23. I have connected my Pod HD300 in my Windows10 PC. All the drivers/firmware/whatever in Line 6 Monkey are Green and up to date. What I want to do is that be able to monitor my guitar only from the DAW. The reason is simply because I am using effects and I need to listen the processed signal from the DAW (in my case Cubase) instead of the POD HD itself. So, I went to the Line6 Audio and Midi Devices Panel > Inputs and Recording but there's no "Hardware Montior Level" Why is that? According to the Line6 manual instructions there should be there and I should turn this off. well it says HD500, but I don't think it's different from HD300.
  24. Hi. Today, I've received a brand new Amplifi TT. I've installed it updated it via Bluetooth, downloaded the Amplifi ASIO Driver through the software page of this site and installed it, then I downloaded and installed the free version of Cubase LE 8 which came with the product. Now I have a major problem : there's no sound coming out of my PC speakers. I looked into the Device Setup. ASIO Amplifi is the default audio driver. Then I checked the VST Connections. In the inputs section, the Amplifi is selected by default. Everything is normal here. But in the outputs section, I've noticed that the Amplifi is also selected by default, right where my speakers should be (as seen on the picture, hence Cubase staying silent no matter what I do), and there's no other option in the drop-down menu. My question is : is there a way to "install" my speakers system in the outputs section, to get some sound out of this Amplifi, or do I need to plug some other cables in (it's just plugged on USB right now) ? This may sound like a stupid question, but I'm still a beginner when it comes to recording. Anyway, thanks in advance.
  25. Hi Everyone I was hoping that I could record the output of my amp directly into Cubase but I'm struggling to work out how this is possible. I have all the latest drivers and software, etc. I can record from my amp directly into Audacity by selecting Amplifi as the input device. Works fine. My Cubase is currently set up to use my SaffireLE 1394 ASIO driver and that's what pops up every time I create an input bus. Through the Cubase Device Setup I can select (and switch to) the Amplifi ASIO but I don't (don't think I) want to do that because I want to continue using my SaffireLE for the output (my mixer and monitors are connected to it). My other instruments/mics are also routed through the SaffireLE. Is what I'm trying to do even possible or do I need to continue taking an analogue output from my Amplifi into my SaffireLE? Hope this makes sense. I'm not exactly a newbie but I only have a dangerous level of knowledge!! Thanks Keith C.
