  1. Hi there! Here's what I'm trying to do: 1) Create a clean signal that will play straight through, center pan. Easy. 2) Take the same signal and run it panned hard left through a delay and pitch transposer where the wet only signal plays 260ms AFTER the original signal, dropped -7th via pitch but no original note, only the -7th, panned hard left. 3) Using the same original signal, run it panned hard right through a delay and pitch transposer where the wet only signal plays 520ms AFTER the original signal, raised +5th via pitch but neither the original signal nor the left dropped 7th coming through. Center, then hard left dropped a 7th, then hard right raised a 5th. Three notes, not overlapped. Center, left, right. This is day one with my new POD HD PRO X. Thank you!
  2. I am using the native propeller together with the mainstage and I am tending the problem that the delay pedals do not synchronize with the gloval time of the mainstage, in the window of the helix native part superio right it is seen that it is synchronized with the tempo gloval but it does not work With that synchronization with the delay pedals. Someone with the same problem ??
  3. Hello, I'm looking to buy a helix soon and have been constantly reading forums/watching videos. One thing I read about is mono vs. stereo delays and reverbs. I read that using a stereo delay on a mono speaker would sound bad. When I'm playing live, I will go stereo XLR to FOH and then mono line to my QSC K10 for stage sound. If I keep the same stereo patch, will it sound bad through my speaker? What's the best way to do this? Thanks!
  4. Hi everyone, Only had my Helix LT for a couple of days, I'm coming from using an M13 into a Blackstar HT20, I've set up 4 snapshots, with different delay models and times. When I switch from one to another, the difference in delay time is really noticeable, even with trails off, its like playing a chord and turning the delay time knob quickly as its changing between snapshots. I'm still fumbling my way around, so I've probably not set up the snapshots correctly. Any help would be great.
  5. Does anyone know if it's possible to configure the PodXT live so that if I turn on one effect, say my amp, that it will turn off my delay (or other effect)? What I'm wanting essentially is when I turn on my delay, it goes turns off my amp effect, and when I turn on my amp effect, it will turn off my delay. So, "clean with delay" and "distortion without delay" Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

    Delays ...

Would be nice for some more variety in delays.
  7. I am currently attempting to use my POD HD500X to record directly on to Reaper on my computer but i have a little bit of delay when i strum and when i hear it from my monitor speakers. I have watched tons of reaper settings videos and i have my settings set to reduce it as much as possible but i still have maybe half a second delay in the audio. My computer is a Skytech Omega series with 16GB RAM, 4.0 ghz processor so the computer shouldnbe able to handle it no problem. Im not sure what i may be doing wrong. If someone can help me out i would appreciate it, thanks!
  8. I own a DL4...I am looking into new power supplies for my board. Will the Strymon Zuma power supply be able to handle the DL4? (Each port on the Zuma is capable of producing 500mA 9V and two ports with 9V, 12V, and 18V options all at 500mA.) Here is the link for the Zuma: https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/Zuma
  9. Suddenly one day, my Delays and Reverbs and any effect I place post FX Loop no longer work. The buttons respond, but the audio is not changed. If I move the effect block before the FX Loop, it makes some audible change but is quite lollipop. I am using the 4CM and it was working, and now isn't. Is there a setting I may have accidentally changed or has anyone else has this problem? Thanks, Greg.
  10. About 2 weeks ago, I contacted L6 about an issue in Pod Farm 2. When using a dual channel preset with an identical amp, and selecting two different speaker cabinets, there are some phase issues with the cabinet sims. Some combinations are almost 180 degrees out of phase in fact. After talking to L6 about it, they thanked me for the info, but stated they wouldn't be updating Pod Farm 2 with anything to adjust this. As a result, you must record your dual tone as two tracks and use a phase correction plugin to rotate the phase for coherency in some cases, unless the phased sound is what you're going for. In Pod Farm 2 the Digital Delay only goes down to 20 ms, and the channel delay option in the mixer only affects the DI signal, not the signal with effects. So it has to be compensated for externally. An example of this is a patch with an Angel P-Ball (the amp shouldn't matter) with the 4x12 Line 6 cabinet and the 2x12 Class A-30 cabinet, both using a 57 On Axis. Pan them hard left and right. Record a stereo track, then look at the waveform and see that one is pretty much inverted in polarity vs the other. Summing them to mono leaves a very thin and comb filtered sound. A phase rotation plugin can bring back the bass properly. I just purchased a Pod HD500X, and am curious if the same issue applies here... Is there a way to compensate for this in the Pod? Thoughts?
  11. I see some patches but most have the FX set to bypass. How can you set a delay to do dotted eighth notes?
  12. Hi folks, just connected the TT to the home cinema. I opted for optical s/pdif connection. There's a disconcerting lag on the audio. Is this a feature of the optical audio connection? Will it be better if I swap to an analogue connection? Thanks for any suggestions. - Nick.
  13. My POD HD400 came with the original operating system, 1.1 I think. It allowed immediate switching to LOOP Mode (Red). In the next version, 1.3 i think, Line6 put in a delay, requiring the user to hold down the Mode foot switch for 4 seconds before entering LOOP mode. This prevented accidentally starting the Looper. When I had to do a Factory Restore yesterday, I lost this delay time, and can't seem to find a download to recover it. I am now on the latest operating system in the POD, 2.01, I think. Does anyone know how to add this delay back in? Thanks.
  14. I need a digital dilay with modulation, no a echo with mod, is it not the same. I play in a u2 tribute band, in the past i used a m13, pod h500x or axe ultra. These multi fxs has digital delay with mod. M13 has more effects, and betters delays than helix. The better delays i played was in the axe-fx ultra, i think that helix was similar, but no. I hope that in the next firmware update Iwill improve the delays. If this does not happen soon I look for a ax8 or FX2 .
  15. I feel like I am probably missing something really obvious here but can anyone shed some light on why 'side-chaining' reverb and delay blocks on their own route on a mono signal path by using the split/merge blocks seems to sound different than having the signal pass directly (serial) through the reverb and delay blocks and using their 'Mix' parameter to control the amount of reverb and delay in the signal? When I use the side-chain method I tend to set the 'Mix' parameter on the reverb/delay blocks to 100% (wet) and use the split block to control how much of my signal passes through the reverb/delay before returning to the main signal path and ultimately back via the merge block to my main signal path and the output block (reverb/delay are the last blocks in my signal chain on the 'B' route). It would seem to me that basically these two approaches should yield essentially the same result with the main difference being that with side-chaining I am using adjusting the mix on the split block instead of using the 'Mix' parameter on the reverb/delay blocks. If the reverb/delay mix is set to roughly the same amount of reverb and delay I would think these two approaches would yield roughly the same results but they sound very different to me.
  16. My spider valve mk11 112 the delay setting is turning on by itself. The delay is engaging on its own with the knob in the off position in manual and preset mode. Upon resetting to the off position it reengages within a few seconds to a minute. Any idea on how to disconnect or bypass this? I dont really use it. I would like to fix it. Any suggestions?
  17. Hi guyz, I am having a constant problem about my delay unit. At first it started freezing during loops, it used to be ok if I replug the unit, it used to keep working like that. But eventually it started not to turn on, I had it repaired last week, the repairman told me that the issue is really prevalent in most of the DL4s anyway, I got it back yesterday, I had a performance, it worked really fine but now it decided not to turn on again. Actually it was working just fine this morning, i was messing around with some live looping stuff. And then bum! it freezed, (i wish it had a ctrl alt del button lol). I need help. Did any of you have this issue? p.s: 1-i'm not running it with the batteries, 2-i'm pretty sure that i'm using the right power supply 3-yes i tried another power supply
  18. I was wondering, for those of you who split your delay and/or reverb off onto a separate path, what percentage do you generally dial in ( A versus B ) on your split block? I have been varying it depending on the preset but I was wondering if anyone had any tips or "rules" they use to determine the best split values? I guess this is another way of asking about wet/dry routing. Sometimes I find the sound better through a simple super serial path with the entire signal routed through the delay and reverb (split is set to B 100% through the delay/reverb path and the mix parameter on delay/reverb is set to taste) and other times I find that sending some signal through direct and some to reverb sounds better (Even split or some ratio that sends signal bypassing the delay/reverb path as well as through the delay/reverb path).
  19. I am trying to have my delays and reverb continuing when I switch presets, but this is not working even though I have trails on on my delay. I am missing something?
  20. Hello guys. I do not use USB recording so often, but when I tried yesterday Everything hooked up perfectly and Windows 7 recognized everything. All set! I used the software Audacity, whiuch is very simple to use just to be able to 'hear' the sound coming from Helix. But there was the problem: If I pickd a string, I didnot hear it immediately ... just about 0.5sec later, which is really disturbing! Anyway, anyone here had similar issue? Any tip is highly welcome! Cheers Leo
  21. Hey all, I recently purchased a DL4 but it doesen't have any of the stickers or decals on it- the knobs are unaccompanied by the names of their functions nor does the preset knob have any labelled presets. I was wondering if there was a way to obtain these stickers or decals. Thank you!
  22. I got my X3 Live and when I switch off my delay another delay stills sounding, a little bit lower. The TAP delay is off but the delay time match with the delay that sounds. Any solution?? Sorry for my english.
  23. Hi everyone.. I had a Line 6 Spider Valve 212, and when i plug in FBV2 footswitch its delay when i want to switch betwen chanels, and after that it changes randomly... I tried FBV2 on other Line 6 amp and it worked correct... Please help if you now something becouse i have some gig for about 10 days so i realy need help... Thanks...
  24. I think helix in a large unit. Emulations of amps and cabinets are perfect. But to improve among other things the delay block. No digital delay with modulation. Also no modulation duck. I'm waiting for a firmware update with these delays do not understand how the podhd500 have these blocks and the helix no.
  25. hey guys, just wanted to ask if anybody is using a compressor after a dotted 8 delay, and if so, which one on the helix and what settings are yall using...i first saw this on the a youtube video by line6. and what i really want to accomplish is the delays after the first attack to stay strong especially since it seems that i lose that effect when i engage a distortion...and not to chage overall tone that much since the compresson will only engage when i engage the delay effect...thanks
